Has anyone here found a reliable app to track real-time gas prices and save money on fuel? I’m curious if these apps really help with budgeting for long commutes or if they’re just more hassle than they’re worth.

I’ve tried a couple of apps and honestly, the price updates are hit or miss. Sometimes they’re spot-on, other times outdated. Still, it beats driving blindly and wasting gas looking for better prices. For long trips, it’s especially useful when you’re in unfamiliar areas with fluctuating rates.

I’ve been using a fuel price app for almost a year, and while it’s not flawless, it has saved me a fair amount during regular road trips. It’s especially handy when traveling through multiple towns where gas prices can vary by 20–30 cents per gallon. It reminds me of when I had to look up gasbuddy customer service https://gasbuddy.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html to check an issue with price accuracy, sometimes tech hiccups happen, but overall the convenience outweighs the occasional mismatch.
