What are some foods to help combat the afternoon slump? I feel really tired every day between 2-6.

Maybe have a smaller lunch or skip it. Sometimes if you have a big lunch it makes you tired. Happens to me sometimes.

I have the same problem in the afternoons as well though and it normally happens whether or not I have lunch.

Ya gotta move.

Do some stairs, some pushups, some shadowboxing - whatever you need to do to get your heart rate up. You will definitely be more awake - repeat as necessary. Zero cost, zero drugs, all benefit.

You won't feel like doing it, of course. You'll really have to push yourself to get going some days. Ask me how I know.

I'm a skinnier guy, so I try to eat a lot. Before I wasn't eating much, and I felt the same. I used to be 130 lbs at 5'11". After eating more and lifting weights I got up to 160. Still slim but a big improvement.

It's more something I can do at work. I try to walk around the block at this time.

I exercise every day (run one day, lift the next).

That's why I mentioned stairs - a quick flight or two up/down will get your blood pumping.

Oooh - isometrics would be a good fit here too, I think. Search that and find some that would fit into your work environment: pushing on static items, balances, pulls, etc.

Its actually not bad to feel sort of slow. Thats just entering a focused mental state.

But u shouldnt be eating disgusting cheeseburgers and coke for lunch cuz that will def make u feel like shit.

Id suggest planning out a single meal for the day that is reasonably sized and balanced with veggies.

Drink water but u dont have to workout like this anon:>>147175

It will just make u smell worse. Plus dont wear that toxic deodorant that they sell in stores

Human beings are not supposed to work 9 to 5. Animals sleep or just sit doing nothing during the day, especially after meals. Fix your life, go back to nature. Don't try to fix what isn't broken unless you want to break it more.

I have to work from 9-5 to live in this society.

I've heard people were meant to sleep in two 4 hour shifts.
