Can I burn calories with VR unironically?
I dont have a strong enough computer for a VR headset and the Oculus Quest got me interested
Things like beat saber and Skyrim allegedly burn calories

No, flailing your arms around like a retard as a form of exercise has to be done ironically

They burn about as much calories as any arm-moving-activity you do in the household; negligible amounts unless you're actually doing it intensely.
If you want some /fit/ Vidya, Dance Dance Revolution & Stepmania are the better calorie burners, especially if you git gud and play hard stepcharts. There was this one boxing game the arcades ten years ago by konami that used gloves and body motion. I don't remember the name or know how I would set an emulator up to use it though.

Box VR can burn some good calories combined with hot squats and it will be a decent workout as long as you are unmotivated by normal working out. Beat saber can be good if you make it good … you have to physically move alot more than is recomended and never stand still.
I believe most of these games compare to a rowing machine.
I would not call skyrim working out … tho it will work out your arms while playing mele it is not constant enough.
Playing warrior in a dungeon raid in orbusvr might count for an arm workout but an uneven one.

I'm just regurgitating what the VR Fitness association states is comparative exercise.
However … I think you might be Right.
I can't remember the last time I've used one … despite having one in my basement.

I think you know what to do anon. Just watch some netflix or something while you row, it's not so bad.
