If any of you have seen The Wild Angels, why does Blues let himself get arrested in the end?

I remember Nancy Sinatra and motorcycles driving through a campsite but maybe I didn't see the whole thing. Was his character a martyr for their wild ways?

Is this a good flick? Any more 60's/70's anti-establishment flicks?
I just watched the original Vanishing Point and plan on watching Easy Rider again.

I like this Dennis Hopper documentary The American Dreamer. It was filmed on Hopper's land in New Mexico while he was trying to finish post-production for The Last Movie.
The documentary was a VHS-only gem until a month ago. I'm very interested to watch it again with this new release.
The Last Movie is not very good though. Jodorowsky told him to experiment narrative and editing, but the result is mostly a mess.

There are times when you'll wonder whether there is a plot being followed. They're a gang who embody bestial nihilism, even towards each other at times.
I was first attracted to by their usage of swastikas, and wondered whether that symbol had any place in any sort of pre-war, pre-60's leftism counter culture.

It must be to rustle jimmies, make society mad, show your group's edginess.
I guess punks did a similar thing in the early 80s. In the 90s zine culture was fascinated by Nazis (along with serial killers and other crazy shit).
And now anti-establishment corners of internet have their turn with the FUCK YOU swastika fetish.

It's a fuck you to the establishment. I don't think a lot of guys even looked at it as a racial thing back then, more of a fuck the system, we're edgy and we like to get fucked up.
Something like that.
