Why do so many people seem to dislike Tom Cruise films?
I realize he's a terrible person and a Scientologist, but he's a great actor and is fantastic to watch on the screen.

I've been working my way through them all just out of curiosity
He's a pretty fucking good actor
Some are better than others. The Firm was a solid performance from the cruise.

Because outside being popcorn movies they're not much else.
Oblivion's best parts are the cinematography, M:I was a De Palma ride, Minority Report is messy trash.

How do you feel about Collateral?
I've heard it described as a "Tom Cruise movie for people who don't like Tom Cruise"
I still loved it though.

I don't like it that much, I had higher expectations after seeing Heat, Miami Vice and Insider.

>and a Scientologist
This is pretty much the only reason for people. Aliens froze your emotions is apparently so much more retarded that it offends the tricky snake forced an apple crowd beyond respecting anything he does as an actor.
That being said, he's functionally been out of it for a good while. Valkyrie was the last thing he did that I'd consider /film/ tier and Eyes Wide Shut was definitely his peak.
