I watch many films that most people would consider bad. I do not mean overproduced films that critics hate, like Transformers, but just movies that most people dislike for objective reasons. I think watching movies that are of lower quality really inspires me and keeps my brain engaged, thinking of ways to improve the movie, what the director could be thinking and why things turned out the way they did.

Isaac Asimov said that the best source of inspiration for him was through watching mildly interesting movies.

I believe an important part of being a connoisseur in anything is to consume a lot of shit. Do you agree?

I like to watch a range of things. Admittedly I do try to watch lot of quality, but I have no problem watching crap as a palate cleanser. I agree it's interesting to think about what works and what doesn't when watching bad movies.

I think you can lose perspective if you limit yourself to watching only the best. You probably appreciate a good movie even more when you witness firsthand how many others have fallen short. Furthermore, there are plenty of interesting ideas in bad movies even if they fail in the execution along the way.

I really enjoyed this. I watched it after wikipedia mentioned that the screenwriter (who worked on Blade Runner) said that it is set in the same universe.

It's definitely a B movie, but it's actually pretty good.

Gary Busey is a creepy mental patient who decides to move into a family's home without their knowledge. What's not to like? Just thinking about this movie makes me laugh.

Tough Guys Don't Dance is half campy and half fascinating because of the many ways it tries to discontruct the Noir Genre. And at times, it does have a very nice athmosphere.

Mr. Mailer had an interesting filmmamking career too.

If you can find it, watch "Monella". It's just this glorified porno with all of these loose "slice of life" type plotlines and it just really isn't any good at all.

I like the scene where she's peeing in the rain and laughing though, despite it also making no fucking sense even in the nonsensical rambling of the movie. The worst part is that I know from the way the scenes are set up that it's not just me not knowing the language - the scenes make it all clear, and it's just not an interesting collection of stories let alone a good movie. But there's something charming about watching it and seeing that all of these people put all of this effort and writing and acting into just an old porno. They even got priest costumes for the beginning and have a few scenes full of people celebrating or dancing around in this town...all technically acting in a porno.

Tinto Brass? I celebrate his entire catalogue. It's more "erotic" than hardcore

WOA, NICE BENIS!

Please tell me this is what it looks and sounds like and this is the same guy as in "Monella", and he actually made a series of movies where he's a rich guy irresistible to all women with a 3 foot long dick. I want to believe.

Any chance you can direct me to a good download/torrent of all or some of his films in decent quality?
