How do we view their current library?
When I had an account they didn't have so many older/foreign films. I mostly watched documentaries.
The Impostor, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Sherman's March (pic related)
No idea if they are still available.

Too lazy to make a new thread so I'm going to post in here. Searched up "Netflix" but I guess there aren't any netflix threads so… here I go.

Can we get a thread to share Netflix recommendations and what not? I know this is probably the most popular thing that streams films.

Some that are currently on Netflix that I'd recommend watching are
- Sunset Boulevard (c.1950) 111mins
- Valley of the Dolls (c.1967) 124mins
- The Omen (1970) 111mins

It seems like there's no way to do it, at least not from netflix.com.

You don't need the actual currency, just a credit card (or some means of payment). There is also a free trial for one month.

And yes the quality will be poor on a 1MB connection.

I have Netflix at my house but I haven't checked it out lately. You could be right. I don't know as many good films as what's listed earlier ITT. I guess they focus more on _bingeable_ series because more people like that.

Antichrist is on there. I wonder do they censor it?

I fired up Netflix tonight to see what I could find. It's not my account so the recommendations were tailored toward another person. Seeing nothing of interest in the recommendations, I eventually scrolled to the International section. One of the first choices was A Star Is Born (1976) ... strange, was that made in Canada or something? (Nope!) I continued. Int'l section had stuff like Amelie, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Like Water for Chocolate, Sex and Lucia mixed with documentaries. Finally I settled on 13 Assassins, something I haven't seen yet. Good enough for a night, but I expected to find more new foreign films there.

Netflix seems like a place for popular movies that you haven't bothered to watch yet.

I looked around more. About a third of the new releases are Netflix originals. So the service is morphing into its own "channel" rather than a place to find a wide range of content.
