Interesting. There's a certain minimalist approach to it that I enjoy. It frames the characters as if they were aware of their own relative reality but not of the concrete reality around them.

Relatively well known here, but I couldn't find any sort of translation and afaik it's completely unknown elsewhere. Maybe because it's written in a way that's hard to translate properly. Almost like translating poetry.

Are there any animations to describe creating a fake moderator identity, bullshitting with an actual mod, convincing him you are a mod, using that fake mod identity to tell a story, using the dozen sockpuppet proxies you actively use on /cow/ to push that narative, exploit interboard warframe, hijack the narative, and set up /tv/ to take the fall in a grand shitposting battle just like you did when you burnt /int/ to the ground?
I wanna watch something like that and giggle like a retard for a couple of hours.

I guess the film part is expected, but the taste in women is surprisingly bad. I don't know how they can be attracted to those homely bitches. I've thought about starting a much better thread for that here, but I saw one similar thread already >>1644

Garri Bardin produced interesting animation
"Conflict"

"Vykrutasy", for this short Garri won Short Film Palme d'Or at 1988 Cannes Festival.

Good Ukrainian short, winner of Silver Bear for Best Short Film 2003, some charm is lost in translation, unfortunately. A sign of the rising sun on hand is a prison tattoo.

Most documentaries are too obscure and don't even have English subtitles.
The first four films on the list are documentaries, the last one is drama
Harvest Of Despair (1983)
Genocide Revealed (2011)
Stone Mill (2008) on YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIWFxlSen1A
The Living (2008) on YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lDp9AMACys
The Guide (2014) is about the early Soviet 30s in Ukraine and only slightly touches the Holodomor issue

Thanks a lot. I should have known about Harvest of Despair so I'm glad you mentioned it. I'll be watching some of the others too. I didn't even know about the Holodomor until a few years ago. It's has been virtually ignored but maybe that is changing.

Cool. I was surprised to see the United States mentioned. I wonder if there was actually specific American help on this film (I see nothing in the credits). Or perhaps the filmmakers were just happy the Cold War was over and they were out of the USSR.
That film has a unique monochrome aesthetic with a lot of memorable images. The color and lighting reminded me of Letters from a Dead Man.

Yes you are right. I looked at the credits on imdb and did not see American names or references. But apparently imdb omitted a lot of information.
