Seeing as h8chan is on fire right now I'd like to see what you all would like to do. I personally would like to see /ebola/ persist.
Should we wait out the beta and see or migrate somewhere else?

Standard protocol seems to be "find a few places to potentially migrate, hold onto those in case Infinity is unworkable." I'm fine with this course of action.
endchan.xyz
itshappening.ml (recently made by a /pol/ock)
Assuming we can't get transferred in one way or another, I'll shill the mega I made of the board.
https://mega.nz/#!9cpknRAJ!GnE1E28XgqFYltToyumnmqfpnMmgMS-3KjIqVOtOcO8
I'll keep downloading and upload an updated version once the transfer hits. Whatever happens, I expect to see a resurgence in February, if the Riddler's claims are true and a Winged Ebby will be released on Europe.

If /monster/, after biding their time at the beta long enough to create JUSTICEchan, creates an /ebola/ board, would this /ebola/ be willing to migrate to it?

if the pale moon issues are worked out ill probably wait it out. otherwise im out of imageboards altogether. tired of migrating because site owners keep fucking shit up. Cuck fucking over 4chin and high-temperature toroidal motion devices simply not giving a fuck anymore is more than enough for me.
i got better things to do with my life than wait till some autistic sperg (josh) decides to fix his shit.
>>27881
heard rumors on >>>/n/ and >>>/pol/ that endchan is a honeypot collecting /pol/ ip addresses. just rumor however, nobody's provided any actual proof that i am aware of.
>>27882
sounds like an idea, but im afraid niche imageboards with little traffic arent all that interesting. ive been to a few in my day, and they tend to devolve into tripfriend circlejerks quickly.

That'll depend on whether /monster/'s full userbase moves over or not. If it does move successfully, and manages to invite over its friends as well to an extent, then it's hard to imagine that it would not survive. After all, it's not in /monster/'s habit to be tripfriend circlejerky.

I'm fine with this if /monster/ goes but I'd really like to see what others here are saying. I'd like to keep as many people as we can while still keeping us active. I for one would move image boards specifically for /ebola/ but I'm unsure how many of us would too.

We should see how the beta works out, if Josh is as incompetent as people point him to be, and the entire migration crashes and burns we'll either fallow our friend /monster/ or go on a road trip with dad.

the migration already crashed and burned once already. behind the scenes josh STILL cant get the performance anywhere near where current 8ch.net is let alone the promised performance improvements (and now THAT is saying something).
the pale moon issues have been known for MONTHS with no action taken other than josh and high-temperature toroidal motion devices bitching on twitter (and pale moon's own github) about pale moon being "an old outdated browser nobody should be using" while completely ignoring any of the facts about pale moon.
>>27889
im just hoping if we do end up moving somewhere else, we can survive without >>>/a/ and >>>/pol/ or talk them into moving with us. like it or not, thats where most of us ebolites are from and where future ebolites will come from when the next big outbreak happens.

read that palemoon issues will be rendered null by the next palemoon update, not sure if true though.

they use tinyboard, which has the same scaling issues as vichan and infinity. so yeah, it wouldnt work in the long term especially if >>>/monster/ and >>>/pol/ followed.
>>27912
it doesnt work in current pale moon or the "goanna" betas (i use both, mostly goanna though) so i'd have to say thats probably wishful thinking. at the current rate of pale moon updates, that means we'll likely have to wait till at least early-mid next month at the earliest.
if you have a link to where that was stated it would be appreciated for "archival" purposes though.

ah just hearsay then.
if it dont come from the pale moon developer himself or (less credible) josh, its almost guaranteed to be bullshit.

I registered /ebola/ on endchan as a backup incase /cure/ got to it first. Should I put in the effort of transfering over everything there or wait?

No, the United States needs her more than ever. The United States is where the pigs feast upon the excesses they robbed from disadvantaged countries around the world. It is time for a change. Donald Trump's supporters have shown that there is a level of ignorance in that country that could make such an event possible. Do your best, Ebola-chan.

Leftyanon, please understand that Trump's policies, as he describes them, will make us less dependant (and exploitative) of smaller countries.
But then, I'd be happy for the whole world to see Ebola-chan's love, so I appreciate your sentiment, hateful or otherwise.

Anon you need to understand. America is for Americans who have to look out for their own nation first and foremost not the countries of others. Trump's plans will only lead to a stronger, more isolationist America, what's not to like? The world is for Ebola-chan anyways so no need to worry.

Update: Josh is getting the boot, and Infinity Next is likely cancelled. Now, that doesn't mean the site is going to shut down, far from it. high-temperature toroidal motion devices is planning to re-assume direct control of developing and implementing solutions. Here is the current site-wide poll regarding the next course of action regarding the site:
http://poal.me/1kvhve
Now, the consensus (as of right now) is to stick with vichan and hack a bunch of fixes into it. This means the board is safe and preserved, no risk of us losing everything we have left.
However, there was a nearly unanimous response that, if we were to go to another software, that we should dump the entire site's content and start anew. As much as it pains me, I'm tempted to agree. Next was grounded by its inability to process the copied data (among other flaws.)
Regardless, I'm continuing to archive the board, in case such an event does happen.
But what does this news mean for us? I honestly don't know. If everyone's still raring for a migration to some other site, that's still on the table. /monster/ is still dreaming of a Justicechan, odds are /pol/ is content just to stay on-site (not that they don't dream of their own chan as well.) high-temperature toroidal motion devices himself said that he doesn't mind people talking other chans on h8chan, that's why he lets 314skin advertise on it. So, if we need to continue our search for a new home, that's fine too.
In any case, wherever we may go, may we always bring our goddess with us.

read that on >>>/n/ earlier.
its great that high-temperature toroidal motion devices is finally taking out the trash. hopefully someone will step up (wouldnt be myself, im terrible at code) with more brains than mental problems to help high-temperature toroidal motion devices get infinity to scale better. been asking around my own personal contacts but they are all pythonfriends who wouldnt be of much use.
what always made me wonder is why 4skin was able to scale just fine over the years and yet h8chan could not despite both running similar software. surely its not entirely a matter of funding.

he just believes in giving people an honest chance to redeem themselves. i'd have to say neither if everything here is true: https://medium.com/@infinitechan/infinity-never-3d5f733af739#.j0je1oq8k
its josh who's both incompetent and a greedy jew. just be glad high-temperature toroidal motion devices is working on fixing up what we have now and finally has a few people helping him do so. it took high-temperature toroidal motion devices quite a long time for him to realize josh is an incompetent basement dwelling friend, but at least he finally did before everything came crumbling down.
personally i feel much better now that he's finally come out and made public everything thats been going on behind the scenes.
i think infinity's scaling problems largely lie with the tinyboard and vichan developers not anticipating their software (with modifications) being used on an imageboard with a large userbase let alone infinitely expanding boards.
