You can get most of this from military surplus stores or thrift stores. The wearable tech should fulfill some clear purpose - hopefully with the intent of reducing reliance on smartphone functions or replacing it entirely with your shit, a burner for phone functions, and Clip+ with Rockbox for listening to Perturbator on the go.

Also, you should probably have a pack with your other gear. I use a military surplus assault pack with currently for EDC:

It's pretty handy to have around, since it bundles most of the tools you might need. Someone's disk has crashed and you need to recover a file from it? ddrescue is on there. Need to hop on tor real quick? Not a prob, bob. Someone forgot a windows password? chntpw. The only shitty part about it is the size (3 gigs), the awful desktop environment and that waste of space that is metasploit. Luckily you can remove gnome and metasploit with a custom spin of kali, but in that case you could just as well build a custom liveusb based off of nearly any distro.

A nice, black, slim fitted bomber jacket is usually pretty cheap, and is minimal as hell. Skinny jeans look good, even though autism-pants fags will tell you otherwise. Sticking with brown, grey, and black will keep the outfit /cyber/, without making you look like you're cosplaying an Animer character though.

If you're willing to go with a few splashes of a bright color on top of all black, like violet or lime, your outfit can look a bit more /cyber/ but a bit less practical.

That's not how it works. Hundreds of millions of CCTV monitored sites are accessible to a certain defense contractor. Most of the sites are privately owned, places like malls. The system is constantly performing gait analysis of every person on every one of those cameras, and at the same time is attempting facial recognition and tracking the bags/clothing associated with a given face/gait. When you want to find a person, you put in some footage which may have a good face shot or some walking. Consider that the alternative may be putting 2-6 officers on stakeout for weeks, which can easily cost $10000 and up.

You can also track who has walked beside whom, so if you know that your target is friends with Alice, Bob and Catherine you can narrow down the list to only people who have been spotted with those three.

We've already entered a world where the strongest and most passionate kingdoms are built on unstable ground unfit for development. They may be driven by totalitarian maliciousness, promises of greatness through subjugation and hatred, lies of peace and higher morality through subservience, or any other humanish reasoning, but they are all the first structures of their type, built on uncharted bedrock and given to traditionalist idiots who couldn't fix a bayonet and hold their land, much less better a multinational confederacy with speech and coercion.

We've been given a world that is routinely set entirely alight just to burn out less than a week later. To dress in a way that "feels" like a world like this, you have to live in that world.

Know your social trends, understand fashion, learn to talk the talk and walk in a way that dissuades anyone from questioning it. Learn to blend in and be carried by your peers into new areas where you must learn them all over again. Success is a terrible thing in this world. But thankfully, success can have any parameters. The only constant trend would be breathing, for now.

More specifically, there was something rebellious about leather jackets back then. It was something the general populace -"the Man" and the sheeple who followed it- didn't wear, and despite being expensive, punks still wore them.

More specifically, I like to quote that Neuromancer scene in which Molly is described as wearing a motherfucking PINK jacket with a white grid shirt TO INFILITRATE A BUILDING. Her usual black leather attire isn't made to "blend in", it is made to stand out in the middle of a society that liked to wear oddly colored clothing.

Secondly, Molly didn't think about "utility first". It wasn't about looking ugly or avoiding any sense of fashion, it was about developing some sort of counterfashion sense that allowed you to separate yourself from the sort of stuff whatever the consumerist whores were wearing in that moment. She cared more about her appearance than about being able to hold many objects at once, or high mobility for combat. I don't think I need to point out how tight leather pants, bulky leather jackets and, if I am not mistaken, red steel-toed high-heeled boots aren't exactly the smartest choice for combat.

Looks are extremely important in the shallow consumerist society of the cyberpunk world. There is no longer inner beauty, it's just about outer beauty.

You're right but many people don't live in USA, Hungary or russia. Being different is not a real crime here.

Where i live (Germany) it means that cops are allowed to body search you more than others, but still not as often as niggers.

Solutions: don't carry drugs on you or don't walk through areas where warrantless body searches are "legal" (they're probably nowhere but the judiciary doesn't care) or move to an area where lots of people look different and cops have better things to do than arrest stoners.

No, there's not because when you try to be "/cyber/" you already pretend to be something you are not. Go get yourself some comfortable clothes of soft neutral colors that aren't overpriced shit that turn you into walking advertisement. They'll also make you look a bit better, especially compared to some soyboy shit, as well as making you look like a less recognizable, valuable and easy target. The technique is known as grey man but you'll probably never need it because you go out so rarely. Overall, there are good options of clothes that offer advantages that clothes do - protection, wear resistance, comfort, insulation without being flashy and drawing attention. This might be a bad thing if you don't want to look "poor" but really looking modest and then either breaking one's expectations or at least not worsening them(like you would if you were poorfag with latest Ishit). You could even pretend to be something important and use words like 'security" or something and call yourself "/cyber/" but this will only make you a poser with a slightly better choice of clothes.

We could debate what is /cyber/ in the first place but i've tried it many times and it got nowhere so i'll go for it only if someone wants to. Besides that, you've already read my recommendation about clothes, hope it'll help.

Mouldmaking silicone can handle low heat. Small amounts of Silver and Aluminum can be poured into some of them. You just have to carefully read the labels or know what you're doing, and carefully observe the mould. I have worked at 3 places now, one of which was a big box retailer in the US, and two PC repair shops. two of those places had cameras, but analog only connected to analog dvrs that record on hard drive internally, and cycle footage. I have preformed data recovery from a similar system from a jewelry store. One remaining place I worked actually had no cameras. All of this in a California.

Cameras are not actually useful to private people for a variety of reasons - mostly because there is no centralized facial recognition software police can use. Having photos of you committing a crime doesn't do shit - which is why you see posts about "Do you recognize this man?" when serious crimes are committed.

The US doesn't even have a national ID system, and state DMVs are decentralized. There isn't even a national repository of any identifying documents except name and social - and the federal government doesn't even use that in all its agencies : The hall mark of government is being asked again and again for the same information by different forms instead of some kind of repository of information accessible.

Im not saying this is a bad thing btw, i am just saying, your story is absolutely retarded. Cameras arn't as useful as you think, more than 50% of crimes go unsolved, and there is no national database for anything.

The IT requirements themselves are absurd. 25Mbps upload for a single HD video stream or else, the video cameras themselves have to have CV technology to identify faces.

Centralized database to upload to isn't a config option on any camera I have ever seen. Meanwhile upload for most people is nowhere enough to stream HD on ADSL.

But none of that even matters. Post proof centralized facial recognition database exists and is connected to run of the mill private property dvrs.

All I am saying is that there is no centralized US surveillance system, at least across private property, and part of the reason thats true is that people are using lower quality cheaper surveillance equipment than most people think, and thats probably because its not as useful as most people think - having a video doesn't get your stuff back, or catch the criminal.

The only places that seem to be using the kind of over-the-top surveilance that would require having to trick a camera are dystopian surveillance states like China and the UK.

However, much as the people don't like it, governments do. We will, within the next few decades, see a fullscale rollout of facial recognition software in most of the first world, even if only in the vicinity of government buildings, subway systems, and high crime intersections. As is we already see traffic cameras that have good enough resolution to get the driver's face and the license plate.

what body modifications do you want to adopt ? One of the things I have always thought about tatoos is that they are shitty because they are effectively just unchangeable clothes. I like some of the tech from the Cyberpunk PnP game…stuff like skinwatches and the like.

One thing I'd like to do is replace my right hand(which has some nerve and tissue damage from an old injury) and maybe the forearm as well with a robotic version that has some inbuilt gadgets…a set of screwdrivers and maybe a cold-temp soldering iron for my electronics hobbyism, a video screen for connection to various electronics, that sort of basic thing.

More than that I'd like to replace my eyes with ones that I can change the color of, that have around 5x optical zoom, and that can display a customizable HUD so I can keep track of things like live electrical cables in walls, my own vitals, and maybe even a connection to the internet via 4G or wifi, though I worry about the security concerns that can arise from the latter.

It would be nice to bring up a local map or to keep track of ammunition in a firearm, or to gauge the approximate weight of an object for prototyping electronics.

Thats the one item that i think might be problematic. If your hand is VGA only and your devices use mini-hdmi. The cyberpunk reality is carrying dongles for your hand.

Honestly, VGA is going the way of Betamax.

Very few consumer electronics are manufactured with it anymore, and even those that are also have HDMI input. I'd probably just want an HDMI input with a cord stored in the arm itself.

The color changing of the eyes is tertiary to the function, really. My main interest in consumer electronics is the functionality overall.

Hell, with that in mind I'd love to get those magnetic implants that connect to your phone via bluetooth and vibrate to transmit music to your brain. Moreover I'd love medical implants to electrically massage my skull from the inside to help with my chronic migraines. My mother has an implant like that for her own migraines and chances are within the next ten years I'll need one myself since I can barely function as a working human being.

All in all, I'd say function over form for priority, but if I can get augments that look schway as well I'll take it.

VGA and HDMI were really analogues for whatever technology will be available in the future - the problem with augments (水 name btw) is that upgrading them will be a bitch - real life humans scare, surgeries have complications etc. So if your implants don't stand alone (like soldiering iron), as technology changes, life starts to suck. Also, if the cord is embeded, what happens when cord gets frayed etc.

I think wearables might be a more attractive option than augments.

In my opinion, body modifications are shit because 90% of what they can do is also possible with more conventional wearable technology that doesn't require you to lose a limb or install a USB port in your nipples. Now, legitimate medical prosthetics but with technology built in? Pretty decent, as you aren't cutting yourself apart for the sole purpose of being able to have an RGB-illuminated spinal column or being able to store sensitive computer data in your skull.

Call me a luddite, but I prefer to keep my squishy bits intact for as long as possible- even if it does mean coming late to the augmentation party.

Well, you take the arm off and get it repaired or conduct repairs yourself, realistically. having some measure of plug-and-play functionality seems to make sense. It really would depend on how seamless the electronics are. I'd like a robotic arm to be a fashion statement, personally. I want it to be obvious that it's not natural. I'd construct the outer shell with angular shrouds and bulges and things that would both look schway as fuck and also house extra gadgets or auxiliary batteries.
