The main non-terminal program I use is firefox, so I am still trying to get the colours to look right for that. Other than that I am pretty happy with my current setup.

Is that spectrwm? That was my first love, I had that running on my T40 on slackware back in the day.

Opinions? Ideas? I wonder if I would switch to bspwm. I tried it before and it's pretty good. I should try dwm?

dwm is not very riceable and generally looks like ass even with patches and lots of work.
But it's no frills approach is why I like it.

I like the scheme. It's easy on the eyes, yet schway.

Thanks anon. I kinda like it too even though the colors don't fit too much but at least it's comfy. The other ones that caught my interest are too cold.

Looks dope, but a bit too bright for my current scheme. But I'm sure it would look dope with Arc Dark or some other GTK theme

I am trying to make black on grey terminal theme going on, since I find this setup easier on the eyes, but… am I going colorblind or bold green on grey is completely unreadable to you also?
Yellow and cyan give me troubles too, but not as much.
I tried making all colors darker, but then programs that rely heavily on colors and assume black background (alsamixer for example) start looking like ass, and it is equally unacceptable.

Well, I can read it but that neon green in particular is an eyesore, as is the whole theme tbh.

It's not really a "theme" at this point, I played with colors for a bit but decided to start again from scratch and just switched default background and default foreground colors with each other, leaving everything else intact.
Maybe I should try toning down only green channel and see how it looks..,

My terminal of choice is suckless' st, and st is configured through modifying "config.h" and recompiling, so I do just that.

What is that menu style called where you hotkey it and it pops up whenever your mouse is. Can't remember for the life of me and there is no way I could properly describe it in a search

RCs as in config files. The config.h counts in my book.

>How do you install Arch without an internet connection?
You don't install Arch in the first place. Install Debian or NetBSD.
>>23363
Under Debian you can grab the b43 or b43-legacy packages to make most Broadcom devices work. If you want it out of the box, or to install the same software multiple of the same machines, then you can write the installer ISO to a thumb drive and then mount it. Download the non-free frimware zip file and extract the contents into /firmware on the drive.

>makes me think about IRIX
Best OS ever created. I honestly think that the SGI hardware/software ecosystem is one of the most polished computing experiences I've ever had. It was always warm and inviting, and every single piece of it, every program, every menu felt like a piece of homemade wooden furniture. It's levels of comfy I can't even put into words.
It's too bad it's closed source and only runs on ancient MIPS shitboxes. At least there's a 4Dwm port for Linux.

Sup chummers?
I know this board is slow, but I want it to be active again.
Anywhere I can talk about schway things and get a response within 20 or so minutes, rather than a few days?
Also, have my desktop.

Honestly?
You may have to shill /cyber/ on other boards, like /v/, /pol/ and the like. If nothing else, you can at least start up some new threads talking about schway books and how to into meshnets. Be the change you want to see chummer- it's not hard when your goal is a mild increase in imageboard activity.
try asking around /sw/, /strek/, and /tech- they've got an appreciation for similar topics. sadly, /halo/ is as dead as the games- shame since Gaylo lore points to pretty much every faction being cyb as fuck in a lot of ways

Probably swap to cb++ or something soon. Maybe Void.
