His identity was completely wrapped up in being disabled due to Kallman's a hormone deficiency. The "fat" diagnosis. He claimed his suffering was so great that he had to gobble down caffeine pills and "pain meds" (later revealed to be over the counter shit, probably just aspirin) just to function for a few precious hours every day. And then he would collapse again, exhausted.
In reality he was just a fat fuck.
