I have seen cases like that. Like 75% of his few uploads were him talking about playing an X-Men game for the 47th time and picking Nightcrawler.
I've seen the pattern again through other people's stories on the internet. There was a piece of Lion King fanart in a cringe thread I was in with a link to the creator's deviantArt. This individual has not only been drawing nothing but Lion King stuff since 2002, but he shrieks and rants about this new Lion King kids' show on Disney's new channel for younger kids simply because it wasn't part of his childhood like the movies. Then here on /cow/ we had a thread about IRL encounters with autists where an anon said he had a neighbor who was obsessed with an old cartoon called "Waynehead" that only had 2 seasons. An interesting example is a research paper about using neural nets to design a digital circuit on an fpga. When it was done, the researchers realized that while the AI designed a circuit to perform the task, the circuit was completely unlike the normal design for that kind of circuit. The neural net had designed the circuit on a transistor level that didn't make any sense. There were connections that didn't go anywhere, and nonsensical arrangements. However, when the researchers removed the transistors that didn't make sense, the circuit stopped working. The AI, without knowing the 'rules' of digital logic, learned by trial and error. The nonsensical arrangements of components caused certain electrical properties of the semiconductors to manifest themselves, and the neural net used those properties to create the circuit.
My point is that an AI designed to make tea probably won't follow the same steps as us. It may realize that the intrinsic properties of cupboards allow it to smash through the wood instead of opening the door.
