-Investigation/Curiosity?
-Politely accepting a friend/family member's invitation?
-Attending a friend/family member's wedding/ their child's first communion, etc.?

I visited a Catholic church with my Mexican friend once. It seemed like an old and tired place, and it had a spooky dish of haunted water in the back which he dipped his finger in and dabbed on himself like in a runic fashion. Didn't hear any bible verses.
