I was doing that for years, had both blinds and thick black curtains to block all the daylight out. Now I keep them open most of the time unless I have my bedroom light on (which I always set very dull). You'll only need to strip and re-season it if you damage the pan, cast iron seasoning gets stronger the more you use it, especially if you are cooking fatty stuff in your pan. Seasoning is pretty much just coating your pan in a THIN layer of oil (don't make the common mistake of drenching it) and put it upside down in the oven for an hour.

Apart from that you just have to gently wash it and then add a bit of oil after you have finished cooking with it.

Stainless steel is pretty bad at cooking things at a low temperature, meat in particular. If the pan isn't hot enough it will just stick. It also doesn't heat as evenly as cast iron so you can get pretty bad heat spots unless you get a copper bottom one but those are expensive as fuck.

I read a year or so ago that studies are still being done on it, but personally I prefer to tackle my problems without relying on pills or other mind-altering substances, regardless of legality. I never want to fall into that trap where I need drugs to feel "normal". Lad, I've been focusing on improving my social skills to the best of my ability for the past two years. Obviously I have more difficulty with it than most because of the asperger's thing, my long period hiding away from people, and having no real life friends to interact with, but I try my best. However, I disagree with the notion that a couple of anon's interpretation of my posts as "pushy" means I'm supposed to change the way I post. It's entirely possible to raise your confidence levels without alcohol, that's not say that it's easy, but it can certainly be done. The way fear and anxiety work is that they both grow stronger when you avoid or get drunk to get through whatever it is you're afraid of, but they diminish with regular exposure (while sober) to it. Once you start regularly facing your fears, even if the tasks seem small and insignificant at first, you'll gradually become more and more confident, opening up doors to bigger challenges that previously seemed impossible before without getting shitfaced. Even better, there's no loss of motor control and there's a greatly reduced risk of seriously bad ideas when you tackle fear/anxiety this way.
