OP here
DAoC is pretty much the most norse-themed MMO i've come across so far. Then there's also GW2 where you can play as a member of the viking faction, but DAoC seems to be pretty much exclusively dedicated to norse culture and lore, at least on the server/realm listed below. Too bad they won't drop the monthly WoW-style fee, or else i'd give it a try for sure.
>Midgard is one of Dark Age of Camelot's three playable realms. The realm of Midgard is based around Nordic folklore and legends, and is covered with snowy mountains, numerous lakes, and pine tree forests. A hammer is the symbol of Midgard, as is the color blue. >Jordheim is Midgard's mighty capitol city. http://darkageofcamelot.wikia.com/wiki/Realm_of_Midgard Disclaimer: this post and the subject matter and contents thereof - text, media, or otherwise - do not necessarily reflect the views of the 8kun administration.

Celtic Kings - Rage of war.
RTS game made in 2002 by haemimont games who now make the tropico series.
It's a great rts/resource management game where you can have hundreds of soldiers playing as either vikings(gauls) or romans.

Dude, MMO's are a waste of time. The whole game you spend grinding, with the promise of an endgame that is always just more grinding, the fun part never kicks in and even worse they usually make you pay for that shit regularly. I like the concept of a Massive Multiplayer game but they are all wow clones and grindfests not worth anyones time. Despite its not exactly topical, its interesting to note people who worshiped multiple Gods in antiquity were more willing to believe in the existence of other peoples Gods, even if in their mind they were depowered and not worth worshiping. Klefki's origin is less Norse specifically and more of a general Pagan thing. According to Bulbapedia, Kelfki may be based off the pagan tradition of blaming the loss of small things like keys or shoes on the mischief of faries and similar creatures. I've gotten into the bad habit of occasionally associating general pagan shit with Asatru and Norse tradition by default. Pardon my fuck-up.

It is alright if you go into thinking it as more of a spin-off ES game rather than a genuine ES game.
I hate the classes though they all make you have magic style abilities. So if you want to be a proud Nord melee warrior who just focuses on melee abilities well then you are shit out of luck. I made my character a Templar and speced in Aedric Spear because your abilities manifest a glowing magic spear that you hurl at people or shank them. I pretend it is Gungnir so I would kind of justify using magic-type abilities as a Nord.
But yeah even though you have a lot of options you still cannot play how you want. And plain weapon attacks are weak as fuck so you have to rely on your abilities.

It is possible that Viking people learned Shatranj, an early form of chess, through their trading contacts in Constantinople. It seems likely that chess arrived in Scandinavia before the end of the Viking age. Chapter 12 of Króka-Refs saga says that Bárðr brought gifts with him from Greenland when he visited the king of Norway. He gave the king an ivory board game as a gift, and the board was both a hneftafl (for the Viking board game) and skáktafl (for chess). Perhaps it was laid out for a chess-like game on one side and for hnefatafl on the other. In chapter 22 of Víglundar saga, Víglundur and Örn played an unspecified board game that ended in mate (mát), suggesting the game was chess.
The carved walrus-ivory game pieces found on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides (right) have long been interpreted as chess pieces made in Norway in the last half of the 12th century, when Lewis was under the rule of the king of Norway. Since a number of identical pieces were found, and since some pieces seemed to be unfinished, it was assumed that they were merchandise: multiple sets offered for sale by the merchant-smith who made the pieces and who lost them or buried them while visiting Lewis.
More recent analysis suggests that the pieces were made by as many as five different smiths. Additionally, the reported location of the find on Lewis in the 19th century has been called into question. Perhaps the pieces belonged to the chieftain who lived on Lewis. The pieces might have been used for chess, for hnefatafl, or perhaps for some other similar board game.

Tafl games are a family of ancient Germanic and Celtic strategy board games played on a checkered or latticed gameboard with two armies of uneven numbers, representing variants of an early Scandinavian board game called tafl or hnefatafl in contemporary literature.
Although the size of the board and the number of pieces varied, all games involved a distinctive 2:1 ratio of pieces, with the lesser side having a king-piece that started in the centre. No complete, unambiguous description of the rules of a tafl game exists, but the king's objective was to escape to (variously) the board's periphery or corners, while the greater force's objective was to capture him. The attacking force has the natural advantage at the start of each game, likely indicating an important cultural aspect by mimicking the success of Viking raids. Another cultural indication of the king is that importance of the Viking chiefs' presence in battle. Although the kings of Europe later claimed divine rule and sat upon the throne rather than bodies in the battlefield, it was essential for a Viking chief to be considered an equal in war. The importance of war is also reflected in Hnefatafl because it is a war strategy game, which can indicate an important reason why the gaming boards have been found with males of all ages. In Balnakeil, a male skeleton between the ages of 8 and 13 was found with weapons and a Hnefatafl board game. Vikings tended to take boys onto the battlefield with them, which explains why young boys also played these war-strategic board games.
There is also some controversy over whether some tafl games (i.e. Hnefatafl and Tawlbwrdd) may have employed dice.[1] Tafl spread everywhere the Vikings traveled, including Iceland, Britain, Ireland, and Lapland.[2] Versions of Tafl, comprising Hnefatafl, Alea Evangelii, Tawlbwrdd (Wales), Brandubh, Ard Rí and Tablut, were played across much of Northern Europe from earlier than 400 B.C. until it was supplanted by chess in the 12th century.[3]

Chess back then was quite a bit different. The Queen (Minister) could only move one space diagonally in any direction, there were no double moves for the Pawns, and the Bishops (Elephants) jumped over one space like a horse, only diagonally instead of L-shaped.
When the pawn reaches the last rank, it only promotes to a Queen. Also, there was no Stalemate. If you had no legal moves left, you lost.

But yeah i think traditions are there to improved upon (preserving the ember for rekindling the flames, not holding dead ash in your hands) constantly so after the norse revival has been victorious and those board games of our ancestors recreated in the most faithful manner possible by channeling the collective racial memory of our sub-species we could amend/tweak the rules that much i think

The queen was really brought up to super-mode in the 1600s when some brown noser changed the rules to honor Queen Isabella of Spain. Originally, the purpose was to dive in front of the King to prevent checkmate, since he couldn't just castle away like a cuck.
It was controversial because the masters of the time thought the "wild queen" made the game too easy and people would tend to rely on the single peace, whereas the older way demanded more of a synchronization between several pieces in order to get a mate.
Give the old rules a try sometime. It's definitely a slower game, but it seems less random.

>Ex-Battlefield devs’ Project Wight is about being a Viking-killing monster
In Project Wight, you play as a members of a intelligent species of creatures that has been hunted down and made nearly extinct by humans of the Viking variety. With your numbers thinned, your people being killed and tortured, you play as the underdog fighting for survival and perhaps even a bit of revenge. Okay, quite a bit of revenge, maybe.
It’s a fresh take on role-playing games, and developer studio The Outsiders takes inspiration from a number of diverse sources, including heavy metal album covers and surrealist poetry. The most prominent influence, however, is the 1971 novel Grendel, which retells the tale of Beowulf from the monster Grendel’s point of view.
The team also showed off the really spiffy-looking graphics via a little gameplay demo that shows off a young creature and an adolescent one. The former is weak, and has to sneak about to survive the Vikings looking for it. I thought it was a really nice touch that the Vikings actually seem to speak a Norse language—particularly for those of us not well-versed in Norse languages, it adds a layer of disconnect that further reduces any empathy you might feel for the humans.

A lot of Nintendo games have mythology type aspects to them, if that's the best way of saying it. I enjoyed all the Fire Emblem games that I played, even if the combat system doesn't make complete sense. Many other series tend to have an occult undertone to them, such as Kirby.

Japan does it well. I've been told that much of it is influenced from D&D. This is why you'll find similar character design in series like Fire Emblem, Slayers, Record of Lodoss War. Then you have later series influenced from this, such as Escaflowne, but the movie sucked so don't watch it.
I always highly recommend Final Fantasy XII to people.
I'm not really into games anymore, so I haven't played enough to recommend anything.
I must thank Japan for keeping the magic alive. Martial arts led me to chi, chi led me to performing supernatural abilities, and that led me to Western occultism and paganism.
Tenchu has lots of hate but I loved those games.

So i'm pretty excited for this episodic content update which releases on monday;
>guildwars2.com/en/news/watch-the-trailer-for-a-crack-in-the-ice/
The neat thing about this particular update is that it's entirely norse-themed - They dropped the trailer a couple days ago without any forewarning and preload began today on all clients before it goes live. Since the norn have been grossly underrepresented in recent content updates (one of the only major norn characters was even killed off recently in favour of a SJW lesbian character because the devs couldn't afford the voice actress anymore lel) i've been waiting for something like this for a while now.
It looks pretty neat with those bigass boreal forests which can be seen on the episodes' cover art aswell. I'm hoping they'll include some more norn lore and expand on their whole in-universe background even further in this patch. Maybe they'll even show off some more far shiverpeaks runic norn script from GW1 which is based directly off the futhark by the looks of it.
If anyone wants to try out the norn (basically norse/viking) faction in gw2 the base game is f2p but to play the living story episodes you need to buy the xpac which is 50% off right now heh

So the new norsepilled patch has been pretty based, it wasn't that much content so i could play through the meat of it on monday and tuesday.
What i also really like about the new map (which is aptly named "Bitterfrost Frontier") is the fact that you can only enter the northernmost portion of it by brewing yourself a potion beforehand which gives your character resistance to the freezing temperatures up there, otherwise he will die of hypothermia within a short time.
For said potion you have to basically rummage through the entire map and gather ingredients all over, and then brew it together over a geyser-type hot spring - The best part of said procurement of ingredients of course took place in the comfy bigass boreal nordic forest shown on the cover art aswell. I was kinda dissapointed that the cyclical map-wide ice storm/blizzard mechanic only requires you to kill enemy champions during said storm rather than also utilizing the cold resistance elixir (or the torch mentioned in massivelyop.com/2016/11/21/first-impressions-of-guild-wars-2s-a-crack-in-the-ice-episode) for survival, that really would've been dank as hell.
Alas it didn't really expand on the norn lore background that much (in fact there's basically no norn NPC's at all in the new map), they seem to have focussed more on the silly comic relief characters for some reason.
But other than that it's a really nice patch and i hope to see more content like this in the future heh

Even some of the WN's i know IRL inexplicably keep acting like fucktards sometimes… Some of them became total drug-addicted unemployed degenerate hedonistic loser wrecks in the process as a direct result of their actions, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Lineage 2 was the best grind-heavy MMO game ever right up until the Interlude expansion.
Everything after that went to shit.
The artstyle was beautiful, the game built on teamplay and it had a world full of lore.
If you ever manage to find a good L2 Interlude low rate (1-7x) server, give it a shot, but prepare yourself to some pretty hardcore grinding.

I don't play vidya games much anymore, but when I do, it's grand strategy games like Hearts of Iron IV, Supremacy 1914, etc. Occasionally I'll play Minecraft, because sandbox games where you can genocide hundreds of large-nosed individuals and troll autistic communists should be cherished.
I used to play World of Tanks a lot as well, but the game slowly became a bit too pay-to-win for my tastes.
Oh, and how could I forget Age of Mythology! It's an old PC game from like 2002 that's fucking great. I booted up my old computer (it still has Windows XP lul) and plugged that sucker in, still as great as I remember it. You can get a used copy off it off the internet for only a couple bucks, and if you've got an old computer I highly recommend you get it.
The game itself is very similar to Age of Empires (most people here I would assume have heard of that series), but with a mythological twist. Much of the game is kind of larpy and incorrect, but it still is quite fun to build a great Norse Civilization and just rape the shit out of some poor plebs with an army of Einherjars. You can play as Norse, Egyptian, or Greek civilizations, and the Titans Expansion also adds the Atlanteans (which are basically Greeks but more OP). I would definitely recommend looking into the game, as it is quite fun for a RTS game, and the nice mythological twist makes it pretty relevant to this board.
They've also re-released the game on Steam as "Age of Mythology: Extended Edition" back in 2014, and in 2016 they created another expansion for the game that includes a Chinese Civilization. The Steam version of the game seems to be on sale at the moment for less than eight bucks, so pick it up now if you want it.
Overall it's a really nice game that I would definitely check out.

So the most recent patch introduced some more norse-themed stuff in the form of a raid wing set in the middle of the southern Shiverpeaks (which is the natural lebensraum/starting area for the viking-derived Norn faction of course).
>.youtube.com/watch?v=-xmje-3FEEE
The whole thing is a bit meta overall tho due to it being a raid-wing and not a dedicated story quest as such and the concept of it is that you venture into the underworld realm of the dead, the basic gestalt of which superficially resembles Helheim in some respects. Even on the loading screen you got your basic horned helmet norse warrior being depicted aswell, pic related
All of this is pretty neat because the whole Norn/ice dragon story subplot has been severely neglected in the canon ever since the Bitterfrost patch from last year. There's some rumours circulating about the next expansion being at least partially norse-themed too (the elder ice dragon is on the move after all) but no concrete evidence in regards to that has turned up as of yet
On a slightly related note i also met a real qt from another norse-themed guild the other day and chatted it up for a bit with her, shit was pretty cash heh

Downloaded this one the other day, the main menu alone looks incredibly pro-white for a game made in 2017 heh
>/tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/HellbladeSenuasSacrifice
It doesn't look SJW at all from what i've seen so far in the trailers et al (since some1 else earlier ITT railed on about it)… Just because Vikang invaders seem to be the antagonists in this and it's played thru the perspective of a woman doesn't mean it's anti-white as such, white tribes used to fight each other all the time back then and shit kek
Anyways i'm really looking forward to playing through this one, the more pro-white media there is based directly on our common celto-germanic norse heritage and collective epigenetic astrally-based racial soul the better

Alright so i finally managed to play through this one completely now (took me just over a week to beat it in three to four sittings), some of my initial thoughts (Spoilers ahead obv);
My basic interpretation of the plot here would be that most everyhing you see in the beginning and all the way up until the gates of Helheim is probably actually taking place in reality and not "just in her head" as the game heavily implies all throughout the whole trip pretty much from the moment you first get out of the boat and set foot on hard soil. It's obvious that she starts going off the deep end after you get the runes or whatever from Surt and Valravn and cross the first bigass bridge (which of course is also when the voice of ""the darkness"" aka that strawman tulpa of her batshit mean daddy appears for the first time - This was quite the powerful setup overall, i especially loved that whole blood eagle flashback sequence with her lover and everything leading up to it before that, really set the mood for what was to follow) which leads towards the ingame stand-in for Helheim.
At the end i had almost thought for a second they'd employ the old "it was all a dream all along" trope but i'm glad they actually didn't, or at least not in the way the audience would normally expect it.
What annoyed me by far the most though and continually threw me out of the (otherwise pretty fucking great) atmosphere were her whispering schizoid voices employing a kind of vocal speech cadence taken straight out of 21st century north american young adult female sociolects - That was pretty uncalled-for and this whole aspect of the game not only felt incredibly out of place with the great norse soundtrack and whole mythological backdrop but also continually made it harder for me to focus on the actual story and suspend my own disbelief. I guess these also kinda acted as a comic relief to some extent though, as evidenced by the more light-hearted dialogue they wrote up in that regard.
The runic stones providing further optional background narration courtesy of the crazy shaman guy's spirit were a pretty great idea too on the side of the devs, especially the pieces featured in the Ragnarök trailer were pretty GOAT.

The whole PTSD + psychosis angle was a refreshing take on the setting too, besides providing the impetus for 90% of the story as such of course. I'm also glad they didn't literally write a "trigger warning" caption over the mental health notice when you start up the game for the first time, heh.
I was somewhat displeased with the nigh-completely dehumanized depiction of the norsemen warriors until i realized that the protagonist had probably never properly seen or got to know one up close before for real so that these monstrosities in her imagination were basically just an extension of/symbolizing the intense trauma she had experienced during the actual raid on her settlement earlier.
The benevolent depiction of Hel (or "Hela" as they called her for some reason) at the end also kinda made up for this imo.
Gameplay-wise the lack of really distinct enemy varieties was a bit disheartening, but for give or take 10gb you can't complain too much i guess…
The boss fight against the Fenrir thing was also great, albeit a bit crammed thanks to the limited console port-induced camera perspectives and whatnot. Oh and i also liked some of those sections where she would go literally insane after staying too long in the dark and shit
The game as such ran pretty stable only crashed once right towards the end aswell thanks to UE fucking up. Speaking of which, they should've also made it clearer that you're supposed to let yourself get "defeated" before Hela so as to progress further toward the story's conclusion - I was literally mashing away at dem permanently spawning hordes of enemies for a good 15 mins or so before it had dawned on me what the game actually wanted me to do there, heh.
Pretty damn neat of them to include VNV Nation into the credits aswell - This particular song was basically my very first song of theirs which i had listened to way back in the day right after it got released and coincidentally it was also what got me into EBM and other adjoining genres in the first place - But not to digress too far now…
Overall a pretty fucking decent game when taken into consideration as a whole, at places it felt like a semi-folkish greenpilled piece of media tailored exclusively to the white racial soul and its workings, which i loved and which is remarkable for the times we currently live in.
I'd say it's also a great and touching contemporary spin on the hero's journey, and the whole "self-sacrifice against all odds" trope in itself which this games' plot is based around is very pro-white and european in nature aswell so maybe some of the thots with daddy issues who decided to also play through this can learn a thing or two about bettering their own selves (it does feel a slight bit as if it's oriented more towards particularly female sensibilities in some respects, not a bad thing as such ofc) and becoming constructive and functioning members of our race in the process - What i find great is that despite yelling "fuck the gods" earlier in her grief the protag actually made peace with them in the end after she got put into her place by one on the astral plane, so there's definitely an analogy to be found to modern-day thots rebelling against their own ancestral heritage and people.
The whole thing isn't SJW or anti-white at all, and for a semi-arthouse indie title made in the current year it's a very commendable effort overall - They obviously put a lot of thought and labour into crafting it aswell.

I actually quoted my own post there with >>14952 rather than someone elses' (i also happen to be the OP aswell heh)
Also i'm sure there's already fucktons of different interpretations of this game out there (inevitably along with many SJW misandrist/femishit ones aswell) but for my own part i've basically just tried to take what was being depicted (along with the narratives' clues concerning what was "really" taking place and what wasn't) more or less at face value and deduct as logical and straightforward of a conclusion as the story allowed me to here
Oh and btw i also just checked the dev studio and there seem to be no kikes in there at all which is pretty great

Been playing Conan Exiles for a while now. It is pretty redpilled. Dafari (Africans) are depicted as cannibals and you can knock people out and take them as thralls to be broken on the wheel of pain.

Being a Norn Warrior feels pretty based in this game. Especially the starting area. Easily the best start out of all the races in the game.
Also be sure to use the Action Camera setting. It's more fun and tab targeting is for manlets.

Norn lore is cucked beyond belief and it literally shits all over Norse mythology. Its marvel-tier disrespectful to the source material.
A major lore character is the nigger son of a -WHITE- STRONK NORN WOMYN for fucks sake.

Eh i wouldn't call it outright disrespectful, they just took a very idiosynchratic approach to the thing and combined native american/solutrean germanic faith with animism/spiritualism primarily derived from the european neolithic religion's known or suspected features
It's also still the only faction in any playable (quality-wise) MMO that directly resembles the old norse/viking germanics
