I made a sacrifice before I voted on Tuesday morning, since Tuesday is the day of Tiwaz and Tiwaz is the god of law, voting, the AlThing, chiefdoms and kings, I took it as a good omen that election day landed on it
also got drunk with some friends when we hear the numbers at the end of the day

I don't keep up with a lot of this stuff but it's really refreshing to see a right-wing candidate in the US who doesn't go too hard on the Christian shit. He did mention it a couple of times during his candidacy but mostly to pander to the neocon/evangelicals. American conservatism is now Trump conservatism which doesn't care about religion, which hopefully means a better space for pagans in the US.

I did everything I could to help him get elected. I'm proud of what I've done, though time will tell if he's on our side or not.
Just glad we didn't get Hillary who would've no doubt swarmed up with refugees like Merkel.

Strictly true, to be honest.
Within modern chaos magic, sigil magic is a pretty simple thing. In truth, stuff like Winter-chan and Ebola-chan are uses of sigil magic. I don't think it's in any way counter to heathenry* to employ chaos magic, and I wonder if the runes could be used to create sigils within it. I honestly don't see why not. The Ettins are a manifestation/embodiment/anthropomorphisation/etc. of chaos, and they're the "bad guys" in Norse mythos, but I don't see why it would be bad to use a force of nature for good. (As I type this, I consider parallels with physics and put forward the suggestion, just a little food for thought, that Ragnarök is the end (and rebirth, depending on the total energy of the universe?) resulting from the eventual winning out of entropy or chaos - the Ettins - over order, and that magic seeks to influence quantum potentials within chaotic processes a certain way.)
*You might say that sorcery is argr, I talked about this in a post in another thread ( >>12487 ) and tl;dr my feeling is that magic is only unmanly if you act as a receptacle for external spirits, or arguably if you rely on it as a crutch for getting shit done when you could be using your hands (though, let's face it, magic is a tool and men use tools to help them with things; you're no less of a man for taking a rifle to a battle instead of deciding to run up to people and punch them to death).

Soon to be US President Donald Trump may get his assertive rather than passive manner from his alleged Viking descendants.
Russian genealogists claim that Mr Trump is a direct descendent of Rurik the Viking who established the Russian state.
Whilst others believe it is his mother’s heritage that may provide the Viking link.
According to the nationalists newspaper Estonian World Review Russian genealogist Aleksey Nilogov says Mr Trump has ties to European royalty but he claims Barack Obama is also a descendant of Rurik.
More descendants include Henry III of England, the first three King Edwards, and Joan Beaufort, Queen of Scots.
Mr Nilogov believes Mr Trump descends over the course of 35, 36 or 38 generations from the ninth century ruler, Rurik, via three distinct female lines.
The Invitation of the Varangians: Rurik (centre in red cape) and his brothers arrive in Staraya Ladoga, before 1912
According to the first Russian annals, the Primary Chronicle, Rurik was a Scandinavian "from the tribe of the Rus" whom the people of Novgorod invited in 862 to assume rule over them, as they had been unable to govern themselves.

Donald Trump has successfully ended two political dynasties in his election, both the Bushes and the Clintons. He has won seemingly insurmountable odds against him, rallying many to his cause.
When I read about his life prior to the election, I find him to be a very interesting and remarkable man. Most notable is the way he made his way into the Manhattan real estate business when everyone at the top at the time simply scoffed at him, he then proceeded to own a large portion of New York City. His whole life, this man has fought the odds and came out on top.
If his presidency is one that truly makes America great again, if he truly drains the (((swamp))), his life will be one worthy of saga and song like the hero kings of old. Let the name Donald J. Trump never be forgotten by history.

> American conservatism is now Trump conservatism.
I believe this to be wishful thinking. Christianity has survived FAR worse existential and material crises than Donald Trump could ever hope to represent. We are talking about a theology that propagates a deeply illogical world view in which cherry picking is okay, and anything which does not conform to your specific ideas is "of the devil". FUrthermore, Trump has been throwing his supporters under the bus left and right. He's draining the swamp by installing Republican insiders and jews in his cabinet. He's publicly shamed those who support him and have made their voice heard about racial issues. He's markedly pulled back from his immigration rhetoric. Trump played the American conservative like a harp from hell and don't think for a second the religious right isn't noticing. They're not his people and never were. They just saw him as a vehicle to move closer to the position they want to be in. They're along for Mr Toad's wild ride, right now, but it's an abduction and not a Sunday drive. There will be a POWERFUL Christian backlash once the honeymoon is over. Trump is far too outside of the US Christian zeitgeist and you're again engaging in wishful thinking if you're going to reply that the Christian agenda isn't still the dominant force in US conservatism. That may well change in our life time, but it isn't over yet. THEY are the majority on this side of the partisan divide, not us.
I don't think Trump is good for ANY of us. He's not concerned with anyone his nose isn't attached to. He'll make no frith with us unless we suddenly all turn into hundred dollar bills.

Forgot to say that in fact what I fear most about Trump is that he's going to actually lend legitimacy to Christianity in being the common enemy who unites greater christendom. The one bit of good fortune we tiny minorities in paganism have is that Christianity has become more fractured than it has been for a very long time, which has weakened its hold on government. Trump is exactly the kind of catalyst that could quickly mobilize it back into a genuine threat to anyone who isn't them again. I don't see Trump as some sort of harbinger of paganism or your concept of racial purity. He's Loki incarnate. He's entropy. His decay is going to rot any foolish enough to ally with him to the delight of the trickster. He and all he touches will be fed to Fenrir.

in the Egyptian religion, kek is basically one of 4 aspects of the chaos-waters from which all things arose.
Germanic religion places these waters in ginnungagap as being the reaction of the fires of muspelheim mixing with the rime of Niflheim.
in our pantheon, what he is, is not represented by an extant being – he is a mere aspect of an unconscious force that arises inevitably by the mechanics at play, and at random produces Ymir and audhumbla.
if we are to be immensely specific, kek is the ginnungagap itself – the darkness where the waters are. how are we to venerate a pit?
I'd say our religions are too different and syncretism is shit anyway.
