Just had a binge read out of Jojo 1-7, /animu/ you weren't kidding when you meant that Part 7 is the best part of the series. The sheer insanity that transpires fits the Bizarre adventure well.

I don't blame you for being confused because Araki did the sequence of events out of order. Pay attention to the countdown. The school incident happened 16 hours before Gappy and co. are chasing him in the hospital. He's not teleporting around Araki is just retarded with non-linear story telling.

It's been brought up two times now, first time makes it seem like an accident. Second time gives us more details to make it a murder. I'm guessing Johnny and the corpse are wrapped up in the Pillarman conspiracy nonsense since the corpse was buried under the ground in the area.

That panel seems like a huge fuck you(and also the way its presented makes it seem like Araki was mentioning some background trivia like which church Hotpants became a nun at) when you first see it but then I realised the boy didn't matter at all , Gyro's quest was one of self actualization/discovery, he journeyed to find an answer to his qualms about his family legacy and he just used the boy as an excuse.
He would have jumped at it even if he was fighting for something silly like saving a building that he enjoyed the architectural design of that one time from getting demolished and rebuilt differently.
This is built up throughout the part but that was when it actually hit me full force.

Stands have multiple origins. The first chapter in which they appear, they're referred to as "The Ghostly Ripple" which implies they're a form of Hamon. Araki says that Hamon users get vine-like stands and Joseph was using Hermit Purple during Part 2, but we couldn't see it, which explains his prediction abilities. Johnathan's would have been called "The Passion," which is what DIO inherited when he took Johnathan's body.
Also, Jotaro isn't at his peak in Part 4, hence the shortened timestop.
>>96303
That was just a little easter egg DavidPro put in. Wasn't in the manga, so that particular appearance of it is non-cannon.
However, it was revealed in Part 4 that Enya had the arrow and gave DIO his Stand, so it's perfectly reasonable for it to be there.

I've wondered about this, SBR ran for 95 chapters, the first 25 were published in a weekly shounen magazine whilst the remaining 70 chapters were in a monthly seinen magazine. Part 8 is the only part to be fully seinen aswell as having a monthly schedule, but despite being in 'new' territory shouldn't part 8 be close to ending since it's already at 86 chapters?

Besides Joubin and head doctor are there any other candidates for being the final boss? Since it's a monthly series I'd hope that Araki would focus more on the plot rather than giving us a final boss that comes out of nowhere.

Just the designs, like >>95018 so accurately pointed out. Contrary to what you might hear from tumblrtards, Araki and the Japanese manga industry in general aren't faggot friendly at all, at least outwardly and in the Western context. Nip authors would still include faggot or tranny characters but they are always the over-exaggerated comic relief characters if they are on the protag's team, or subject to constant ridicule if they are villains like Alessi from Part III.

You would think so but that pozz is slowly spreading, it's especially noticeable in Shounenshit. While it's true Tiger from Boku no Hero is more of a joke character it wasn't revealed until after the fact and it's treated like a sidenote. What's more cringe is Kenji whose entire motivation as a villain is to "live how (s)he wants" because he's a failed tranny. Then there's the Naruto craetor introducing a schizo tranny literally two chapters into his latest work.
Wew boy do I have some bad news to you from the creator of Naruto

Part 5 is pretty bad. At least as far as the anime goes. It pisses me off when he kills characters and then brings them back like its nothing. It cheapens the suspense of the story. Mista should have died. But even then I can ignore that stuff.
The grateful dead fight was peak jojos for me. It had interesting and consistent stands. It had real consequences. The fight felt clever and not full of ass pulls. There was even character growth with Pesci becoming a man.
All of the fights after that one have been mostly garbage. The fight after that was retarded and gave Giorno healing abilities making all injuries sustained in battle inconsequential. How do you expect me to care about a character getting shot 30 times when I now he's not going to die or be permanently altered. Then there is also the fact that all of the characters magically have knowledge of each others exact plans and strategies for no reason at all. These fights just aren't clever at all. There's no ah ha or oh shit moments for the ups and downs of the fights. The green day fight was alright but oasis was filled with the same ass pulls. Its really a shame because these stands are pretty interesting and could have been so much better.

It's adapted the manga almost perfectly. None of what you listed is problems with the show but with the series as a whole. Jojo is full of ass pulls from the Jojos. Mista getting repeatedly injured but not quite dying is a plot point revealed in the very end.

The point of Abbachio's death is to establish just how big of a threat the boss is while also giving the gang an idea of what he looks like. Requiem is all to give the final arc more over the top circumstances. Why people get mad the son of DIO/"God" gets an ultimate all powerful stand is beyond me.

>while also giving the gang an idea of what he looks like
This is what I'm talking about. There's this pretense that Abbacchio managed to aid Bruno and the gang even in death, but it's actually just a red herring that prevents them from dealing with him until Silver Chariot Requiem happens. Because he showed Diavolo's face instead of Doppio's, they're looking for a man who practically does not exist. And by the time they actually have a body to associate with that face, it's Bruno using that body and Turtle-Polnareff is there to explain everything they need to know about Diavolo anyways. The only thing Abbacchio truly accomplished there was indirectly getting Polnareff, a man he'd never met or known about, killed.
>Requiem giving the final arc more over the top circumstances
That doesn't make it any less garbage. SCR was promising, but it went out like a total bitch. So irrelevant that killing it wasn't even done to undo the body swap shenanigans, it was done just to keep the arrow out of Diavolo's grasp. And as for GER, how am I supposed to care about a fight where the villain literally can't do anything? He can't fight. He can't defend himself. He can't run. Fuck, the fact that he's even breathing is a miracle, since afaik GER could just suffocate him to death via the power of "No". There is absolutely no tension left.
>Narancia
I imagine that if Abbacchio's final act wasn't completely moot, I'd actually care more about this. The only part about it that bugged me is that it really doesn't mesh well with how King Crimson supposedly works.

Let me guest, they are anime onlies? Because from all the parts i feel that part six would have a big chance to booty blast their faggot asses and stir up some drama because
1)it has the biggest amount of females getting brutalized/gore out

The speculation is that he just didn’t train with it after part 3, sort of like how Joseph went from being a god with the ripple in part 2, to barely being able to use it in part 3. If you go off into fan head canon territory, there’s explanations ranging from “Jotaro dislikes using the time stop because it gives him ptsd flashbacks of Dio “killing” his grandfather and finding Kakyoin’s body” to “Stand Power is tied to breathing like the ripple, and since Jotaro is a smoker, it makes sense that he’d have reduced lung capacity and thus reduced time stop, he quits sometime between part four and part six and thus his time stop duration goes up”
Really, it’s just that Araki nerfed Star Platinum over several parts because he realized that if he kept it at part three levels the narrative would lose any kind of serious stakes, imagine Sheer Heart Attack If Jotaro had the time stop duration of part three, or the last fight with Pucci if he had both the part three time stop and Star finger.

Welp, part 5 anime is finally over today. thanks for the wait david
My opinions on part 5 have changed somewhat now that the anime's over. I should really go back and reread the manga just to check, but I remember reading the original translation and finding it pretty boring. I suppose I can chalk that up to the translation because I actually enjoyed part 5 more after watching the anime. It's still not my favorite part (it's currently middle of the pack for me, I'd say at least beating out 1 and 6, possibly 8 as well if it continues going nowhere), and Giorno's still a little boring, but it was a pretty fun ride throughout.
Also happy they not only threw in a second special OP for GER, but also updated the ED visuals one last time for Rolling Stone and GER.
Now it's time to wait for part 6 so we can slog through that to get to part 7. I want my horse racing bromance already, dammit.
