Guys, I think I cracked the code!
After struggling with a bunch of error messages, I found a way to post that (so far) has been 100% successful
1) Do not, and I repeat, do not touch the repply form at the top of the page. Don't even write anything in it.
2) Click on [Post a repply] at the bottom.
3) Only then you can do anything else, like quoting someone, uploading files or writing in the Comment box. But only in that box.
I found that if I started writing in the upper form and went to the quick repply later, it didn't work.
Trying to quote someone by directly clicking on their post number (before opening the quick repply) also didn't work.
By "didn't work" I mean regularly giving me error messages, and only letting me post sometimes.
But following those steps I detailed above has given me 100% success rate so far.

I had a dream the other night about Kanna Kamui wearing a micro bikini and stripping for me, then spreading her manko. Had a dream last night about playing a game where a blonde loli elf had to manage the ecosystem of a forest full of dangerous magical creatures. During character creation, I made her near nude and dumped all points into luck. She got her ass kicked by the high level monsters than high luck apparently spawned. Nothing lewd though. A few weeks ago, I dreamt that I was in some building with tall light green walls and 2 lolis were clinging to me as to prevent me from going away.
Getting near the staircase they detached, because it's dangerous then I just dash down the stairs 4 by 4.
I was focused on not crashing that I began going to the underground stairs, then I spotted one loli going through the 1st floor, and the second went up to check on the 2nd floor. I then snuck out and left the building.
After taking a few turn, being far enough and out of sight, I woke up.
I think the lolis were personification of sleep, but I have stuff to do :^)

Scratch that, NOW I really figured it out.
Sometimes my address bar got stuck into anti-DDOS mode or something (address ending in html?VanwaNet-DDoS-Verification-Attempt=1), and in pressing [go to bottom] it essentially renewed my address to something without that. It wasn't the quick reply box that did the trick.

The top bar that shows the boards should be colorless/see through to have a nice look of the fade-gradient on the CSS. I know there was an attempt at that when the Miku was introduced but it couldn't be done since it just goes to yotsuba b colors instead of just being invisible.

You don't want to make the background invisible because the page is scrolling under it, so all the posts and their text will show through it. Below is probably what you want.
div.boardlist {background: #D2FFEE url("https://media.8kun.top/stylesheets/img/fade-miku.png") top repeat-x !important; }
I personally like the current CSS better because it matches the post color and most of the time, the page is scrolled down while you read.

I think you mean that you had the image as a poster? In which case, while it's not super lewd or anything, it's not exactly work-related. I doubt that was the only straw for being fired though, unless your country is as bad as your English when it comes to labour laws.

>I doubt that was the only straw for being fired though
It literally was. I had image posted for a week (Was even doing exercises as directed), my team lead demanded that I take it down because it's inappropriate, I asked how, he took me to an HR meeting, complained about how I refused to take it down, presented my case that there's nothing wrong with the image and how it's been posted for a while and that I was even reading news articles from the late-1800s (In the open, for everyone to see, in my spare time) with similar content with no incident ensuing before, along with that being on top of how I'm one of the only people floor even following the rules (Such as no cellphones) and doing as demanded that we review company policy and regulations, HR took both images (The exercise image and the news article) to their hire-ups to discuss further, and I was fired 10 minutes later.

You either worked for hysteric women and soyboys, or more likely they had you on the chopping block for a while now and that shit was just the excuse they pulled to hide the real reason.
Unless you worked on a burger flipper tier job, only an idiot would throw all the money and time invested into training a useful employee over something so silly. Also, normally people tend to avoid HR like the plague, and would rather argue with you for quite a while before even thinking about touching that cesspit.

Can someone explain something about NTR?
Why do NONE of the male characters ever fight back? Why do they just stand on the sidelines watching the love of their life get ravaged without doing a damn thing or seeking any form of revenge? It just doesn't make any sense, and it would actually make the "betrayal" more tolerable if the character DID fight back. However, for some reason, it seems like the only time the "main" male lover DOES attempt to take charge is if (A) the girl is a whore, or (B) a dickgirl is involved somehow.

Don't know why this is in the meta thread, but NTR features shitty weakling males because the whole fetish revolves around despair and helplessness. If the male actually fought back, he would be a respectable man who did his best to stop it but failed, not a despicable faggot who's just going to accept losing the only good thing in his life.
That's why NTR is unacceptably shit, it actually encourages people to jack off to the feeling of giving up. Even scat manages to be less shitty.

Apparently, the claimant is a copyright troll.
I looked into their addresses listed in the claim and found two things that felt... For lack of better words "off".
Firstly, their business address took me to a place called "Farmbyrd". I don't know about you, but that isn't the name of a law firm that I heard of. Of course, I haven't heard of a law firm that served rotisserie chicken either.
Then there's the address for legal contact below the form (Stone & Vaughn Law). That took me to the Denton office for a "Pack 'N' Mail". Last I checked, they don't do legal services.
"Remove Your Media, LLC"'s sole presence seems to be an email address and a website. Stone & Vaughn appears to be the same as well, just with a phone number.
Now I wonder who's hiding behind those shell firms?

It's probably PO Boxes. The "Farmbyrd" address could actually be a PO Box in that UPS Store next door, as that is a service UPS offers. Pack N; Mail I am assuming is the same. Still, a law firm worth their salt would have their own private boxes instead of cheapo PO boxes.

>Shouldn't the (((answer))) be obvious?
My only guess is a family, likely a father-son duo. That's sort of the reason that these shell companies operate in East Texas.
>How patent trolls operate is by making suits with shell corporations. The shell hides a lawyer, which gives work to his son/daughter, the judge. Sometimes, the law firm might be close to the courthouse where the case takes place.
>The lawyer makes money from the suit's payout while the judge gets hours on the frivolous case that he can bill the government for.
I know there's a law that shifts fees onto the plaintiff for cases like these, but it's never been evoked since it's creation.
Screw Viz. Their crap's expensive and translated poorly, add hiring legal trolls that have no real building just adds on to the turd sandwich that is "Viz Media".

Now, all I need is for a nearby Texan to see if the place is perpetually closed or if they're open for business. If it isn't open, that's a shell. If it is, the business might be legitimate.

>Why would /animu/* want to ask /a/'s* meidos* anything?
I lurk occasionally (keyword: lurk. I'm not the one anon defending /a/ all the time), and the rabid shitposters aside, there's various urban legends spread around left and right. I think a lot of that is due to lack of communication. combined with bad actors/misinformation. I was considering extending an olive branch around the time the website shit the bed, and now just seemed like an appropriate time since the dust has settled, and /animu/ posters shouldn't misinterpret these sorts of things as "stealing users" or some other inane garbage. I suppose my goals over the next couple days would be to:
1) Clear up rumors or urban legends anons have about /a/.
2) Laugh at you. Just lounge about and give my tsun imouto headpats.
3) Learn something. Because when bantz don't cross boards, shitposters do.
>/a/ has* given you the impression that your mods are somehow superstars because* some anons* like to suck your dicks, and now you're looking for validation somewhere else.
Why do you even bother with abbreviations when you turn around and add extra characters amounting to even more typing anyways? I mean do you understand the entire purpose of non-shitposting abbreviations, fam?
Well, I suppose I can answer one thing without getting approval. /a/ has eaten and chewed out plenty of meidos over the years. /a/ is more critical of the meidos and ensuring that we're doing our job than the actual meidos themselves most of the time. I understand it's difficult to comprehend, but meidos are just users with a few extra permissions, and can be quickly and easily removed if we abuse these things. We are not superstars, anon does not suck my dick nor any other meido's dick (outside of the faggots in the café who'd suck anon's dick for about tree fiddy), and attention whoring is heavily frowned upon.
>>115534
>Why not do an AMA on /a/?*
Because /a/ already has an entire board dedicated to answering those questions in an environment where it's basically impossible to be banned. I don't suspect the average /animu/ poster to be the sort to go there (or to even know about it despite it being in ザー・ルールズ), and clearing up misunderstandings works better when a private actor voluntarily walks into hostile territory and ignores the very clear hostility coming off your breath in order to paint a better picture. Everyone except those with a vested interest in keeping the two parties hostile benefits from such things.

>I don't suspect the average /animu/ poster to be the sort to go there (or to even know about it despite it being in ザー・ルールズ)
Your smarmy attitude tells us more about /a/ than you'll ever realize. You actually think you're a smug loli when you're just preening 3DPD filth. The simple truth is, /animu/ is here because we see the faults of /a/ all too clearly- groupthink enforced by selective bans, incompetence covered up with mindless board loyalty, and an unshakeable belief that /a/ is superior for no good reason whatsoever. You can claim these are caused by "rumors or urban legends" all you want, but the meidos at /a/ refuse to be open and honest about their mistakes, so that claim rings hollow.
As for your sudden decision to grace the unwashed masses with your oh-so-holy appearance, I'd wager it's simply because you want to feel superior again. Perhaps you want to return to smuglo with stories of how you gracefully "extend[ed] an olive branch", only to be rudely rebuffed by primitives too barbaric to recognize your beautiful altruism. Please leave, and if one of you must return, send someone who actually wants to talk instead of someone who desperately needs to preach.

Seems like a waste of time to me, and makes you come off as condescending if anything else.
You're speaking as if the two boards are divided by a wall, but any anon who wants to "clear up rumors" can go to /a/ and check for themselves. Same for anons from /a/ who want to check /animu/. This is less about the users and more about yourself, I think, seems to me like you're more after validation than anything else.

>Shouldn't /a/ be back by now?
As it stands, the plan is to come back after this season if /a/'s requirements for a seamless transition are met. The requirements that /a/ would like fulfilled to migrate back last I checked are...
>That the server and mod tools are accessible for one week without issue (and that this is the norm/not an exception to the rule- as it stands I still can't access /a/'s tools 90% of the time)
>That the server is secure and it's not going to take just a script kiddie to take it down
>That the server has been stable for at least part of the airing season
>That Jim hasn't (completely) sold out (that one CSS thing recently really put all the meidos on edge)
>That 8kunt isn't shitting the bed
>That reinstalling Hoihoi isn't going to make 8kun shit the bed
It would be better to have smug as the backup and 8kun as the main meeting place. I believe most of the meidos at least reluctantly agree with this even if they don't want to. As it stands, 8kun hasn't met any of these conditions. Maybe the Jim one.
>>115542
There isn't a wall, but I don't expect /animu/ to go to /a/ to ask if a rumor is true, and I don't expect /a/ to go to /animu/ to ask if a rumor is true (though I know a few of us meidos have done so once or twice in the past). Some of the things I've seen (like the previous /animu/ BO claiming to have been permabanned from smug when one of the streamers came here to ask if he'd like to participate in the thread) are just blatantly false information that damages relations, and that one anon verifying and posting screenshots could have shown otherwise... Yet no one did.
>>115546
100% this. I said it when /animu/ and /a/ were "neck-to-neck" as anonymous back in the day, but /a/, or at least the meidos don't care whether /animu/ or we have more users. Please do not let a consolation prize get in the way of trying to be your own board. These are anime, or more broadly Japanese Culture boards. Hobby boards. We're here to talk about hobbies first and foremost most of the time like the fuggin' weebs we are.

>>115549
I'd rather avoid discussing the disaster on /animu/, as I believe that is one of the few topics more suited to a more lengthy and personal conversation on our /support/ board (the "successor" to /ameta/). I won't be discussing that particular topic further since it's not why I'm here, and it will likely just empower bad actors (who I assume are present) to fling shit, but if any anons are interested in doing so, I have no qualms with discussing that topic over there.
>>115557
>How do you- not as a representative of /a/, but as one of its meidos- feel about the original /a/-/animu/ split?
Well, to be honest most of the meidos that were around during the initial split have since retired and faded back into anonymity. That being said, from the stories our senpais told us, and from the attitude of the current meido team, the general consensus was that we are quite glad for /animu/ forming. It used to be much harder to enforce the rules effectively. Even Head Meido tried to make an /animu/ equivalent at one point before /animu/ came around (maybe it was one of the meidos, it's hard to remember) because they wanted somewhere to send anons who disagreed with the rules but still wanted to discuss Japanese things. /animu/ forming created some tension as most things do at first, but it took a lot of pressure off the meido's backs since once the train started chugging, they could tell people to come here if they had a problem with /a/. It's one of the reasons there was a good laugh when Tenicu was made into a vol here, since he legitimately enforced /animu/'s rules for a day or so (NOT /a/'s), and would have continued to do so if not for the BO at the time realizing they had made him a vol and deciding to shitcan him for obvious PR reasons. It's also why they thought it was hilarious when Ron and Mark threw an absolute bitch fit about it (and removed them from their global positions around the time I tried to do something similar with /v/, though I'm not claiming the two incidents are tied in any way). I'd say if there were any sour feelings about the split, they've long since faded.
>For that matter, how do you feel about /animu/ existing at all?
This one's a little more complicated. I suppose the most correct answer would be that the meido team has respect for the existence of /animu/ (even if begrudging), but not all of the team likes them. I'd say HM and Benefactor-kun are neutral about the whole thing and slightly sympathetic, myself and a couple meidos are happy with the existence of /animu/, and the rest sort of begrudgingly accept /animu/'s existence while considering them just a step above /v/. I believe any of the active meido team would offer smug as a couch if something happened to here and the bunker, at least until /animu/ could get back on their feet, but it would be a couch with stipulations, obviously (at least after the first 24-48 hours).

Ah, something I wanted to at least mention that I forgot to was that the meidos believe in board sovereignty. I occasionally see others claim that /a/ wants every board to be like /a/. I obviously can't speak for the entire board, but at least the general consensus among the meidos, especially among HM, is that each board should be run as the culture of that board sees fit. We might laugh at or even occasionally shit on other boards, but ultimately the last thing we want is for every imageboard to be like /a/. /a/ is elitist and we know it and we love it, but that doesn't mean we want others to be like us. It wouldn't be any fun if that were the case. This can especially be seen in how smug has taken a hands-off approach to /tg/, /monster/, /wooo/, /yuri/, and /ebola/. The only other board on smug moderated by meidos is smug /vg/, and we've tried to make it clear that smug /vg/ is just /v/ for /a/ and that there are alternatives for those who dislike /a/-style moderation. Sorry about that little rant, it's just one of those things that absolutely frustrates me when I see it brought up all the time since it could't be farther from the truth. I'm going to take a shower but I'll be around throughout the evening inbetween working on my story for the writefag contest.

Sillyness aside, you don't need /a/ for that, you're clearly capable and wanting to hold your own from 8chan's death. Also both /a/ and /animu/ discuss anime but exist because there is enough of a split on how a community should be run and maintained. Nothing wrong with that, though it is a lot easier to blend in elsewhere as a primarily /a/non. Meta threads do not count, and deliberately shit-stirring threads are just asking for it.
>If /a/ wants to quit 8kun entirely and become smug/a/, then they should hurry up and do it
8kun/a/ is being kept because whether the users opt to move back or not, it's critical to have fallback options. Right now though it is far more sensible to leave everyone happy on Smug and make 8kun the new bunker because even moving between seasons would be another unnecessary disruption on top of the technical issues >>115587 mentions. /a/ is lucky 8kun administration either don't care or haven't realised that yet. Im not sure why they would like having their website "relegated as a bunker". /a/ is essentially hogging on its legacy board space just to keep others from having it. I have not once been disingenuous or dishonest. Smug, perhaps, but I have not lied. I've answered all questions honestly and will do so for maybe another day or two. You see maliciousness and I wholeheartedly understand why, but the intentions and goals behind how /a/ is run is far from malicious. As an anecdote, we're usually left gaping at just how harsh other boards' bans are. The /a/ system, or at least the refined /a/ system currently in use, is based around relatively short bans (12 hours to 3 days for minor offenses based on severity/frequency, 1 week for major offenses, spam bots being the only thing getting longer hits) but relatively strict rules to encourage users to fix their habits instead of just hopping IPs or otherwise ignoring them, whereas we see other boards with ridiculously strict sentencing even if their rules are more lax. As an example, 8kun /k/'s Greeceball permabans anons for dissent and has even bragged about it. I know /v/ has been known to hand out bans in the week range for petty offenses.

It's fine to give a political opinion in one post.
But don't go start shit with multiple anons saying they enjoy the anime you don't like for political reasons and derail the thread into something completely unrelated throwing off what other anons are trying to discuss.

There's no subversion with that anime you twit. Prostitution has been portrayed in anime since the 80s.
There's been countless smut manga about prostitutes that go back decades.
The anime is based off a manga written by a horny Japanese men who wants to express a variety of fetishes through monster girls and make a story on how sexual relations with different species offer unique and different experiences.
If you don't like the anime, then there's plenty of pure love and vanilla romance manga and anime about faithful monster waifu out there.

>Some anons go in thread to say they don't like it
>Unsurprisingly, most anons who like the subject ignore the outlier, some respond, mostly saying that it's 2D so who cares, some back and forth ensues
So far, so good. Disagreement is not the problem. The problem was that the only inflammatory arguments came from the puritan crowd, the first one being >>115927. Until then it's all kept to the usual banter. The most chill comments are from people just enjoying the anime. I'm rereading the thread right now to see where the so called "fanning" came from and it's all from the detractors. At worse some people mocked them, but if you go in a thread calling the subject "bad taste" the least you have to expect is banter.
Only after the discussion went completely away from the anime subject did the first ban happen.
And finally, why did the subject of "/animu/ is defending self proclaimed leftists" got dropped? On >>116151 I showed how the supposed leftist was complaining about being banned. Where does that leave our subject? Fuck I'm checking out. This is pointless. Afyer reading the whole thing again it's even more painfully obvious that the guy was a sperg. If anything I only sympathize with the anon who said he was wrongly banned for ban evasion, and that's assuming he was telling the truth.
Addendum: kek the most leftist thing said in that thread was the sperg being ironic, and people responding to him as if he was serious.
I'm out, I'll watch anime later and come back to post fun things. Hope people do the same. Peace.

>Meido tools were only set to see the last 75 posts anon had made partially for anonymity and partially because meidos shouldn't need to see more
>Head Meido had been working on site-related issues for about three days straight

>75+ posts of pure fucking spam out of nowhere

>And a bunch of other stuff because as I said, this guy is normally not a bad anon he just sperges out for some reason at random whenever he senses /a/ is comfy
>Suddenly the spam of several "anons" that are "outraged" over what happened
>Anyone with a post history basically telling him to cool his jets
>Tries to turn it into a big deal about how the meidos are just banning everyone and how the website is falling apart a bloo bloo we should bee like Freech
>ALL single-post IPs, maybe one or two posts made five minutes prior in another thread so it looks like a normal poster to the average meido
>Cross-referencing images, known locations of namefags on IRC/known location from Molniya shitposting about it in the past, and checking IPs catches his main non-proxy bareback IP (hashed of course) and gets it a week-long ban
>Molniya panics and ramps it up to 11 when he realizes he's been caught (with only a week ban despite causing a catastrophic fuck-up WWWW)
>HM realizes fuckup and proceeds to change how the meido spy viewing tools operate slightly so that never happens again (meidos can now see all posts instead of the last 75)
>Also mechanically changes how [D+] functions to prevent it from doing that accidentally
>Also separates the /support/ thread onto its own board to keep him from starting drama again which royally pisses him off/results in pepe spam for the next week for several hours at a time before he realizes there's basically always a meido online
>A dozen "anons" claiming to be "outraged" and constantly spamming support links all over /a/ shitting it up after the spam fails/is deleted before anons can even see it
>HM gives the go ahead to utilize the full force of rule 2, 3, and 8
>One or two anons got caught in the crossfire who had taken Molniya seriously
>Some four days later over the weekend
>One of the meidos unbans a couple anons caught as well as Molniya
>Suddenly all the whining, shitposting, and most importantly spamming stops out of nowhere for several days
>Immediately picks up again when writefag (confirmed Molniya) gets banned by Hoihoi for namefagging for something like 10 hours

But realizing the horror and pain it brought, Hyoma now seeks all of his creations that have been scattered throughout Edo so that he can release the souls and give them peace. He forms a partner with his sister Chizu who is also one of Hyoma’s creations that has some special features to her body.

I dunno, man. The show spends time baiting the viewer that sometimes you gotta face reality, but the real lesson is about how we feel powerless as children and by the time we're adult enough to know the answer it's too late to ask the question. And then we perpetuate it as adults by telling kids to put up with problems instead of trying to fix them, when what should really happen is to actually try to help the kid find the answer.
Although, I guess deep philosophical thoughts doesn't necessarily make something good. I enjoyed it, tho.

I was hoping you'd take the ban like an adult and reconsider your actions, as screeching at people is not an argument on any level. it only serves to repulse people from your "cause". or just fucking off permanently would be cool too.
instead you've chosen the path of greatest autism: coming back repeatedly to screech at me in several different threads throwing every childish insult you learned from /pol/ as if being offensive makes you correct.
there is no conspiracy to suppress /pol/ or promote /pol/ likewise for any leftist opinions, it's you that is the problem.

Blackpillfags and LRDs are the real blight plaguing the anime industry.
Yeah, you read it right. Not plaguing this board, but the industry. Since they kill the joy of fans out there whenever they are.
Yeah "anon posts the most about things they don't like" is a meme, most popular on /v/, but it's still very sad to see people asshurt about tings the way those two stereotypes are.

Engaging them leads to nowhere.
It shouldn't take more than a couple replies to and from someone to see if they are acting like a blackpillfag or a LRD retard.
If you find out the person you're talking to fits the profile, it's better to disengage, no matter how idiotic their arguments seem.

How about something for Golden Week?
>Golden Week (ゴールデンウィーク, Gōruden Wīku, Gōruden Uīku) (or GW) is a week from the 29th of April to early May containing a number of Japanese holidays.
>Golden Week in 2019 was particularly long due to the 2019 Japanese imperial transition, with the succession of the new emperor on 1 May designated as an additional national holiday. As 29 April and 3 May are already holidays, this caused 30 April and 2 May to be public holidays as well, making 2019's Golden Week ten consecutive days, from Saturday 27 April through Monday 6 May.

I mean I'm not particularly upset since the board was only not in violation on a technicality, but other boards should probably take note of this behavior since the real situation was:
>Jim froths at the mouth that /a/ isn't returning and tells Ron to shut it down
>Thread about 8kunt mysteriously appears after general meandering on smugloli
>HM announces plan to not come back
>Jim demands Ron come up with any casus belli to shut it down

The short of it being /a/ tried to push the webring and drive the users away from coming back here, and Jim did not like that and apparently took the opportunity to shit right back at them.
Assuming this is the case, its more of a surprise he didn't just kill the board off sooner.
The only real take from all of this is that you should always have a self-hosted backup and not just put all your eggs in piggybacking on other people's servers. No matter where you go, shit will always be susceptible to drama bullshit.

/animu/BO took over /a/, the general idea is that we would move over >>118327
/animu is likely going to stay up, but BO hasn't decided on what do do with it yet (and he should come up with a deffinite answer real soon, I hope)
I personally would prefer anons moving over. Not that I don't like /animu/ and it's name, on the contrary I much prefer this userbase and moderation, and those two are what made /animu/ great.
But as it was said before, we got /a/ because otherwise some random dude would. And since there is no point in having two boards with the same topic and moderation (the point of having both /a/ and /animu/ before was that they had different styles of moderation) the community should center on one. In my oppinion one should be your usual "anime and manga" board while the other should be akin to what /jp/ was, japanese culture and other otaku stuff. Having overlapping themes would only confuse the userbase.
But for now BO was very vague with "we should move over", instead of "this board is this now, and that board is that" so people could focus in one place already.
And I know some people said that maybe /animu/ should stay as the anime board while /a/ gets relegated to something else, which could also be tried, but realistically speaking, what would /a/ be then? And no, splitting boards based on "seasonal" vs "not seasonal" isn't a good idea. Nor is "this has one style of moderation" vs "that has a different style", since it's the same person owning both. If someone wanted yet another kind of moderation in an anime board on 8kun so bad, they would have made that board already.

Yeah what this anon said it's true, we first came to existence as an separate entity to /a/ at first. But fragmenting the whole userbase again over just a name at this point is just counter-productive at this point. As a whole, we need to be united as an userbase during this crucial moment. I can see two (feasible) options with this 2 board fiasco, either we:
>Stay and continue to live in /animu/ while making the /a/ board up for grabs (leaving it unused will just led it being open to claims in the first place)
or
<Move to /a/ and abandon /animu/. However, this may has the side effect of being the first weeb board to stop by from cuckchan crossposters, it being a legacy board name.
I can get the sentiment that anons have over moving over to /a/, especially since /animu/ developed it's own identity as time goes by. Like i said, /animu/ is Taiwan to /a/'s Mainland China. However, any trace of previous /a/ userbase in 8kun has been wiped to a clean slate by themselves, thus leaving the board for us to start anew.
That being said, i prefer for us to stay. The image of /a/ being a rulecuck hell is already ingrained in our psyche.

Is there any chance the whole board can migrate over? Rather than copying everything over, maybe there's a way to change the URL. https://8kun.top/animu becomes https://8kun.top/a, and all we would need to change would be the headline.
The community technically wouldn't have to move, we would just keep doing things like we always did.
The biggest problem I see right now is that people are hesitant to leave things behind as they are now, to build up anew on another board.
Can BO get in contact with Mark or someone with clearance to consider this option?

Creates confusion since BO is pushing for full migration to /a/ and while it should be straightforward, anons can't into multiple boards for various reasons.

/animu/ or /a/, it doesn't really matter. Both are on 8kun, which means both will be barely functional. I'd prefer to keep the /animu/ name, but at this point we pretty much are 8kun/a/ in everything but name, so we may as well take the that too and all the rapefugees that will come with it.
Really, if it were up to me we would've stayed on the webring. It was slower, barely, but it worked. Images loaded, I could watch webms when I clicked on them instead of a minute after, I could be reasonably certain the anon I was talking to wasn't a glownigger and when I went to load up a board I was never wondering if it would be down and I'd have to try later. The posts were, generally, of higher quality as well.
But we're here now, and maybe things will get better. They sure didn't for 8chan but, hey, miracles happen sometimes. We'll just have to try our best and be the posters we want to see on the board. At least most of the moralfags are gone now.

They definitely are, but it's the cancer they enable that I can't get past. For the most part smug/a/ is alright. Just normal /a/nons trying to do /a/non things in /a/non ways. But then I'll find a post in a thread that's absolutely abhorrent. And worse, everyone seems perfectly okay with it, and the mere fact that it exists is proof that the maids, and the board in general, approve since they delete anything they disagree with or that goes against the general consensus.
As for the rapefugees, they can be integrated. It won't be easy, certainly, but it is possible. We just need to stay strong and keep posting. Remember, shitposters win when good anons stay silent.

It's like someone read my fucking mind, this is the reason I fucked off /a/ back in 2016, the goddamn bot was more fair than the mods, which banned often without adhering to their own rules, at times randomly, almost like it were a menstruating woman moderating, and that where the "tr/a/nny" shit actually comes from, well, with the maid larp included.

I think some of you are forgetting what the board claim means. /a/ lost their only source of new users, as much as the webring has it's benefits one thing it suffers from is the fact that it can't attract newfags, /a/ has lost any potential of gaining new users and will sooner or later perish.
I'd prefer if there was some way to migrate the threads since there are certain threads I'd like to keep alive. But if we don't atleast claim /a/ then another anon would claim it and that would just create an unnecessary split, unless there would be a significant difference in moderation which I doubt would happen since kami-sama's moderation is already pretty lax and if anyone would prefer something stricter they could just go to /a/'s bunker.

The logic was that if /a/ went to claims, someone else would take it.
Since /a/ is a legacy halfchan board name, it will naturally attract more users and with the old mods kicked out, there's no reason for most posters here to stay away from /a/ now. If nu/a/ is going to subsume the board anyway, you might as well be in control of it.
Changing the BO just means that you wind up with a mostly dead board with a different owner.

So abandoning /animu/ to be /a/ Literally abandoning this place. I just think it's kind of gay and I think less of the BO for it.
