. check spark (finger between the cap and plug. ouch.)
. I wonder about the condition of the spark plug? It's about 10,000k old.
--- oh, I bought a car spark wrench. fuck. Other tools I do have are useless or would risk making things worse.
. 30 minutes after the stop. I try kicking the engine over just out of futility. It starts.

At the next town with a hardware store I picked up a motorcycle-sized sparkplug wrench, and coming out of the store I saw two Harley owners marveling over the Postie with a licence plate from the other side of the country. They invite me over to their paint shop so I could do a service in air-conditioning (the sparkplug was clean..) They tell me about vapour lock being the bane of carb bikes out there...
