>He said the worst series was Eromanga Sensei, which is about a 12-year-old girl who draws pornographic manga while her 15-year-old brother writes the stories.
>“The series also heavily features incest themes and many scenes are so disturbing I just won’t, I just can’t, describe them,” Senator Griff said.
Pic related, it's something Australians should do.

it would make sense if everyone went and bought it before it could be banned
but then the timing of scrubbing the information from their website is weird. at the very least there should be info about the anime they used to sell in case they do reprints but it's gone.

Is there anything on the website which is out of stock?
Are any of the other anime mentioned by Griff still on the website?

I assume Eromanga was the easiest to throw under the bus since other anime are actually popular and Griff was factually wrong about these.
Why not try finding similar anime that went out of stock recently and see if their pages are still up on Madman website? If they are then Madman is lying and they took the anime down themselves.

Okay seems like Amazon is removing figurines because of "child exploitation". Seems more likely Madman is lying.

Just found this at JB Hifi (the main electronics and media retailer in Australia), along with the 3 other shows Griff mentioned and some more hentai stuff like Bikini Warriors. I don't think this is being taken very seriously.

Seems like a Fair Work Commission’s deputy president, Gerard Boyce, had 20 anime figurines from his office removed because they were "scantily clad" along with his security camera. Of course that isn't enough so feminist are lodging to have in investigation on the matter to "stand up for women". Yes, they want to waste taxpayers money to investigate why a guy has anime figures on his desk. I wouldn't put anime figurines at my workplace because I don't want to show my power level but to each their own. It's not like they were all female figures from what I could tell or put in lewd poses with that creepy Woody action figure so what's the problem? Just seems like real ugly women are jealous of 2D or in this 3D anime figures because they can't compete.

iirc it was also mentioned somewhere he modeled them himself (probably just assembled and painted, like that kid in the uk who "build" his own computer)
he's also a madlad and probably one of us:
>Fair Work Commission deputy president Gerard Boyce has been forced to remove ‘‘scantily-clad’’ and “erotic” figurines from his office and later installed a surveillance camera and a life-sized cutout of Donald Trump after the complaints.
and yes, they bitched about the camera too, imagine filming yourself in your office. hoes are probably mad they can't #metoo him now

>here's some tidbits no-one cares about
You know what's interesting is the Japanese don't really have that much of a history of whaling and nobody did before WWII. It was only after WWII when the Americans were in charge that they said "we need this economy to do good so we can beat the commies but there's not a lot of space, so we're gonna get you guys some proteins from that water over there" and then they started putting whales in school lunches.
Also interesting: Norway kills more whales than Japan does and sells them to Japan. A Norwegian guy patented a whale harpoon that's basically a stick with a grenade on the end, and since the Norwegian government is basically like the rich parent that props up all of its' citizens so-so business ideas it just keeps buying them (another example of this- if you publish a book in Norwegian the government will buy a copy for every library in the country). And then since they buy the grenade-sticks they have to kill whales and since they have dead whales they have to sell them somewhere- so they go to Japan.
While Japan voluntarily opted into a multi-national agreement not to whale for food, Norway and Iceland just never agreed to it. But somehow Japan gets a lot more flack for it. Like your filename says the whale meat goes in animal food but there's also sort of a generational thing where boomers are sort of nostalgic about having whale meat in their school lunches, so sometimes it ends up there too. But no-one really seems to like it from what I can tell.
And here's a weird personal story that's sort of related.
A while ago I was in Argentina and I found some whale and sea lion bones. I was going to mail them back to the US but some ex-pats said stuff always go missing if you mail it from Argentina so instead I brought the stuff on the plane with me to New Zealand. On the way into NZ I had to declare that I had animal products and had to go talk to some biohazard people. The guy was asian and he basically said that everything I had was illegal but that NZ had a policy where I could pay to keep it in a box at the airport and they wouldn't throw it away and I could pick it up on the way out. He asked where I was going when I left and I said Japan and he said "oh well they don't give a shit so you'll be fine". Sure enough when I left NZ I was flying into Tokyo and went through the customs line and I had to check something that said I had animal products, the guy asked me what I had and I said "whale bones" on the guy was like "ohhh sugoi" and I asked if he needed to look and he was like "nah". Then I just mailed them back to the US and the customs was lazy and didn't even open the box (as they always do when I mail animal products back to myself).

>e commies but there's not a lot of space, so we're gonna get you guys some proteins from that water over there" and then they started putting whales in school lunches.
My understanding of their post-WWII whaling was it basically being done to keep the Heavy Shipping industry from going under, so the future post-war recovered Japan still had the facilities. Much like the story of Germany using the Volkswagon in its post-war recovery, and unlike Australia's Newcastle port, which basically imploded from having nothing to do when BHP left in the 1980s, and when the 2000s Coal Boom happened, everything to do with construction and repair had to go elsewhere.
I'm thinking the same policy of whaling to keep the failing Jap Shipping industry afloat is in effect in the Abe era, who plays the Tributes to the never-viable whaling industry for its voting appeal...

And the CFA are fucking corrupt-- they don't have any 'funding', as what money that doesn't get rerouted to the Metropolitan Fire Brigade to protect the entitled millennial soyboys in Brunswick, gets spent on 'fact finding' overseas trinkets for CFA higher managers give as rewards for political support for the CFA giving money to the MFB.
