I suppressed my desire to respond the first time. But it is in no way, shape or form is the manga better than Soul Eater. Mainly because through like 17 volumes of mango there is like 0 personal development from the characters, though I do think Okubo has some really impressive moments drawing in this, and he didn't have much of a chance to draw weird eastern-style buildings in Soul Eater which he puts a lot of detail in and I enjoy. Also in one of the meta comics that he puts at the end of the published volumes he says that it's easier for him doing 20 pages weekly than 35-40 monthly like he was doing for SE and it kind of shows with more consistent quality. Plus I wonder if he has more help on this.
If I'm trying to be objective the anime might end up being better if it sticks closer to the source material and gets a cannon ending (and better QUALITY thus far) but through episode 1-24 I still think Soul Eater anime is significantly better mainly because I think the source material is much better, and through 24 episodes they stick pretty close to that. Better adaptation; thus far not on pace to be a better anime imo.
But more importantly if this anime does well and the manga does well maybe David will do a Soul Eater reboot after Fire Force, especially since they apparently hired a whole bunch of people from Shaft. I'm wondering if they're gearing up to be able to do a couple major projects at a time, which would be great- because Jojo's is clearly their cash cow and they're not going to infringe on that.

The first few episodes of fire force as really good but I felt it really fell off around 12 episodes in. It was like they heavily edited the good moments in order to be respectful to the kyoani fire and it made the series very stiff. Hard to explain but there was a definite shift in pacing I feel.
