I'm thinking of doing something like this with some friends while the meme flu quarantine is happening.
I read that Cytube supports some free streaming websites (like jewtube), but I doubt you could find good anime there. The other option is a custom file, but that has its own problems.

i re-encode the file (usually just burn in the subs), ensure the container is playable in browsers - h264/aac in mp4 container - and upload it to my host.
the easiest way to do it is use google drive and have everyone install the google drive script. if you only want to stream one time and don't care what happens to the files afterwards and don't want to use google, then upload the files to cockfile (keep them under 1gb though)
