After attacking WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville on Raw, Ariya Daivari has the opportunity to prove he is ready for championship contention in a non-title battle against The King of the Cruiserweights. Plus, TJP and Tony Nese face Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander in tag team action.

>Last week on WWE 205 Live, TJP decided to up the ante in his friendly competition with Rich Swann. After Swann’s victory against The Duke of Dab, TJP bested his friendly rival's time against a local competitor, and now The Fil-Am Flash claimed that it's Swann - not the WWE Universe - questioning his motives. Expanding on his assertion, TJP suggested that Swann hates coming in second to him and he's still bitter about being eliminated from the Cruiserweight Classic by The Duke of Dab. With that, TJP issued another challenge to his friendly rival: find a tag team partner.
>Swann obliged, and on Raw it was revealed that he and Cedric Alexander would battle TJP and "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese on WWE 205 Live. Alexander is a logical choice for Swann, as the two are good friends and Alexander brings an exemplary Cruiserweight style to the ring that complements Swann's ability. TJP's choice of Tony Nese is interesting, as he gets a formidable competitor that mixes speed and pure strength. His in-ring style is in stark contrast to TJP, but that could be exactly what The Duke of Dab is counting on to rack up another "friendly" victory against Rich Swann.

>During their match last week on Raw, Ariya Daivari realized that Akira Tozawa's shoulder was injured and took advantage of his opponent's condition. This led to Titus O'Neil quitting the match on behalf of his client, which resulted in a rematch between them on WWE 205 Live.
>Despite his injury and brutal targeting by The Persian Lion, Tozawa was victorious, but still wanted retribution after Daivari zeroed in on his shoulder. As a result, a still-injured Tozawa insisted on facing Daivari on Raw, again much to the chagrin of O'Neil.
>As Tozawa awaited his opponent, WWE Cruiserweight Champion - and the Superstar who injured Tozawa - Neville made his way to the ring. The King of the Cruiserweights happily took credit for the Japanese Superstar's injury and berated his nemesis. Itching for a fight, Tozawa attacked Neville but aggravated his shoulder in the process. This was Daivari's opportunity to strike, and he unleashed on Tozawa.
>In a shocking turn of events, The Persian Lion helped Neville to his feet before attacking the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and motioning to the title, suggesting that it was now his time to reign.

For weeks, The Brian Kendrick has been berating Gentleman Jack Gallagher and hurling verbal assaults to get inside the British Superstar’s head. The Man with a Plan has impersonated Gallagher, mercilessly beaten down an ambitious competitor hailing from Gallagher’s home of Manchester, UK – all because he bolieves that underneath the three-piece suit, umbrella and fancy mustache, Gallagher is just another run-of-the-mill competitor.
Kendrick bolieves his indignation with Gallagher is righteous and that his nemesis’ personality dishonors the hard-work and dedication of Superstars like Kendrick. However, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion may have finally pushed Gallagher over the edge – seemingly exactly what Kendrick wants.
Last week on WWE 205 Live, Kendrick transformed a picture of Gallagher into a clown, expressing his true feelings for the British gentleman. Rather than exchange words, Gallagher decided it was time for action and charged the ring. However, the sly Kendrick escaped through the crowd with a smile on his face, potentially executing his plan to perfection.

Ariya Daivari – bolieving it is his time to ascend to the top of the Cruiserweight division – seized the opportunity, engaging in a series of matches with Tozawa and targeting his injured shoulder. The Persian Lion made his true intentions known last week when he attacked Neville on Raw and held the title above his head. The following night on WWE 205 Live, Daivari claimed a victory against the WWE Cruiserweight Champion by Count-out.
Both Tozawa and Daivari have made strong cases to challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and they battle in singles competition tonight to decide once and for all who will face Neville for the title at SummerSlam. In a shocking upset, Tozawa dethroned The King of the Cruiserweights to claim the championship.
Tonight, Titus Worldwide presents Tozawa's championship celebration on WWE 205 Live. While The Stamina Monster – and O'Neil – will no doubt bask in the glory of ending Neville's long and dominant reign, the former champion has already made it clear he will not go down silently. Immediately invoking his rematch clause, Neville will attempt to reclaim the title at SummerSlam. Furthermore, Neville will almost certainly not take kindly to any celebration at his expense and will try to use the party to send a message to the new champion before The Biggest Event of the Summer.

Last week on WWE 205 Live, Rich Swann and TJP engaged in a highly competitive one-on-one contest, with The Duke of Dab emerging victorious. Despite claiming a tag team win and defeating the same opponent faster than Swann, TJP earning a singles victory over Swann perhaps finally evened the odds, as Swann won a singles contest in July.
Despite the seemingly friendly nature of their rivalry that dates to the Cruiserweight Classic, TJP's excessive celebrating following his victory last week didn’t sit well with Swann. The Duke of Dab confronted his rival on the way back to the locker room, claiming that it was all part of the supposed good nature of their rivalry. Swann didn't buy it and told the first-ever WWE Cruiserweight Champion that he was starting to see TJP's true character.

Despite the lingering questions about The Duke of Dab's knee, TJP encouraged Swann to keep focus on a rematch with Daivari. When Swann and Daivari squared off again last week on WWE 205 Live, TJP joined the commentary team – still needing the assistance of crutches. As the action spilled to the outside, TJP prevented Daivari from using the crutch against Swann. Losing focus on his opponent, The Persian Lion found himself on the losing end of the bout, prompting him to attack TJP.
To the surprise of Swann and the WWE Universe, TJP battled back, moving around the ring as though uninjured, even nailing The Persian Lion with a Detonation Kick. Swann was confused and suspicious about TJP's status and the nature of his injury, but he accepted the assist.

It was then that Enzo Amore made his game-changing debut on WWE 205 Live, confronting Neville. Although The King of the Cruiserweights brushed off The Certified G, he kept a close eye on not only Amore – but other potential challengers as well.
The Realest Guy in the Room wasted no time establishing himself as a formidable competitor in the Cruiserweight division. After defeating Noam Dar in singles competition on Raw, Enzo teamed up with Gran Metalik and Cedric Alexander to battle Dar, Drew Gulak and Tony Nese. Following a competitive battle, The Certified G secured victory by pinning "The Premier Athlete" while using the ropes as leverage.
Last night on Raw, Enzo once again led himself, Metalik and Alexander to victory in a rematch, this time by driving a thumb into the eye of Drew Gulak when the official was distracted. Despite Enzo's questionable tactics, the trio reveled in their victory before being interrupted by the WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Neville informed the tandem that they would battle Tony Nese and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick in a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match to decide who will challenge The King of the Crusierweights at WWE No Mercy.

However, tonight on WWE 205 Live, The Stamina Monster faces Gulak’s friend and frequent tag team partner, Tony Nese. The former Crusierweight Champion has his work cut out for him as “The Premier Athlete” brings an uncanny combination of strength, speed and conditioning to the squared circle. While the Japanese Superstar will have to focus on Nese, he will no doubt be looking over his shoulder for Gulak.

On Raw, the newly-crowned Cruiserweight Champion had his victory celebration to close the show. Talking up his accolades as only he can – and preparing to retire a “Certified G” jersey – Enzo was then confronted by the entire Cruiserweight division. He remained confident and insulted the other competitors before The King of the Cruiserweights emerged to address The Realest Guy in the Room. Enzo continued to hurl insults – this time personal attacks at the former champion. As Neville explained how Enzo alienated everyone near him, he entered the ring, prompting the WWE Cruiserweight Champion to present a no-contact clause signed by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. The clause said that Neville could not lay a hand on The Certified G or else he loses an opportunity for a rematch.
As Enzo continued to insult the Cruiserweights and espouse his own stardom, The King of the Cruiserweights had enough and attacked. With the support of the other Cruiserweights, Neville dismantled the new champion, seemingly throwing away his rematch opportunity to defend the honor of the Cruiserweight division.
Unfortunately for Enzo, the punishment didn’t end with Neville. After Raw went off the air, Braun Strowman charged the ring and attacked the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. The Cruiserweights followed suit – each one taking an opportunity to show The Certified G exactly how they feel.

After weeks of being ridiculed and attacked by The Brian Kendrick, something changed inside Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Early last month, he interrupted a contest between Kendrick and Cedric Alexander, shockingly attacking Alexander and extending a hand to The Man with a Plan. That bond was strengthened a week later when Gallagher once again attacked Alexander and seemingly confirmed his new allegiance with his former nemesis.
The Man with a Plan no doubt accomplished his goal of unleashing Gallagher’s darker side. Beyond the three-piece suit, umbrella and moustache is a fighter, and Alexander was introduced to that side of the British Superstar first-hand.
Tonight on WWE 205 Live, Alexander seeks retribution for Gallagher’s attacks, and he will use his incredible in-ring agility to match Gallagher’s aggressive and unorthodox style. However, Alexander will certainly have to keep an eye out for The Brian Kendrick.

While addressing the Cruiserweight division on Raw, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore once again expressed his opinion that WWE 205 Live and the Cruiserweight division was nothing before he showed up. The Certified G reminded the Cruiserweights that by attacking him during his championship celebration last week, they violated the clause that stated they would lose a title opportunity if they attacked Enzo. Adding another clause to protect himself, The Realest Guy in the Room stated if any Cruiserweights attack him again, they will be fired.
After Enzo explained that he has no opponents and labeled the other Cruiserweights S-A-W-F-T, SAWFT!, Neville led the entire division to the ring to confront the champion. Enzo took the opportunity to insult every single Cruiserweight surrounding him in the ring, knowing they couldn’t touch him. Raw General Manager Kurt Angle then made his way into the arena and confirmed that although the Cruiserweights in the ring couldn’t attack the champion, that rule did not apply to the newest member of the division – Kalisto!
The former United States Champion made his way to the ring and decimated The Certified G, sending a clear message that the Lucha sensation is ready to shine. WWE 205 Live preview, Oct. 10, 2017: The era of Kalisto begins!
Last night on Raw, Kalisto defeated Enzo Amore to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. How will Enzo Amore respond? Plus, TJP gets his wish and will battle his former friend Rich Swann once more.

Last night on Raw, Enzo Amore's gift of gab got him into a tight spot with Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. The Certified G took issue with Kalisto receiving a WWE Cruiserweight Championship opportunity at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs. Angle listened to Enzo's complaints and responded by telling The Realest Guy in the Room he would defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto later that evening in a Lumberjack Match.
With few allies outside the ring, Enzo battled the Lucha Libre sensation but lost the WWE Cruiserweight Championship following a jaw-dropping Salida del Sol from the top rope. The era of Enzo was over, as Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali hoisted the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion on their shoulders in celebration. Following his victory, Kalisto dedicated the match to WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, whose birthday was last night. For his part, Enzo was angered by the outcome of the match, specifically blaming Ali, who pulled Enzo from the ring during a pinfall in retaliation for Enzo attacking him earlier in the bout.
Has Kalisto restored the dignity of the division that the WWE 205 Live roster feels was lacking during Enzo's reign, or will The Certified G invoke his rematch clause and attempt to win back his lady?

I feel like nobody really likes this thread, and 205 live is essentially the third hour of smackdown it even says so in the OP text, so why even pin this thread at all? All it does is split the discussion in half. post the 205 live card in the smackdown thread and then unpin the smackdown thread after it's over. We didn't have a thread for talking smack when it aired every week did we? Why do we need one for this? Also in advance, NXT is different because it airs on a different day and isn't even live. Also it doesn't get stickied ever anyways for some reason. I don't think I'm alone here besides the fact board traffic is way down from the site shitting the bed so that's why I made a poll. It's the show, really. Even in the smackdown threads there are maybe two or three posts ever made. The autistic screeching over this thread getting pinned for an hour or two from a few posters, one of which has a grand total of two posts to his history, doesn't make sense and reeks of the kind of intentional shit-stirring that's well known for being done on this site over the past three years in various boards. The thread's here and it's going to stay, no poll is going to change that. 0-2 people use it or post about the in that week's smackdown, doesn't matter either way. You're not going to get banned for posting about cruiserweights in the thread that isn't stickied, so the point is moot. About as worth trying to start shit and post polls about as AJ Styles wearing red gloves or blue gloves on a given day. It affects absolutely nothing but a little icon next to a thread for a short period of time. Getting mad and trying to start shit over that is disingenuous. Just like 205, nobody posts in the thread for it. It's stickied right now. It's still there, people can post in it, but they don't. Just like the ROH, TNA/GFW, non-PPV/tournament NJPW threads. None of the other things you brought up about NXT are relevant for this discussion. 205 benefits from being on right after a main show so if it does get stickied it's because activity's already going. NXT still gets sticked about as often as this thread, which isn't often.

Last night on Raw, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore squared off against U.K. Champion Pete Dunne in a non-title Champion vs. Champion Match from Manchester, England. The BruiserWeight put on an impressive performance, and thanks to Kalisto preventing The Certified Ga from stealing a victory, Dunne picked up a win in his Raw debut against the WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
As a result, the U.K. Championship Division – including Dunne, Tyler Bate, Jordan Devlin and Booker Andrews – has been invited to WWE 205 Live. If Dunne’s victory against The Realest Champ in the Room is any indication, the Cruiserweights could be in for a highly competitive evening from across the pond.
After his battle with Dunne and the invitation for the U.K. Superstars to come to WWE 205 Live, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion followed suit, inviting the U.K. Championship Division to be guests on his new show, The Zo Show.

Although Alexander and Swann showed they weren’t intimidated by the threats from Gallagher and The Man with a Plan, the British Superstar and the former Cruiserweight Champion have proven before that they are persistent when it comes to accomplishing their goals. This, of course, begs the question of whether U.K.-native Gallagher will have a few tricks up his sleeve to further help Alexander embrace his cruelty and shun Swann.

Tonight on WWE 205 Live, in an effort to prove his toughness, Drew Gulak will face Akira Tozawa in a Street Fight. Plus, after defeating Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Survivor Series Kickoff, Enzo Amore faces the prospect of a new challenger for the coveted title. Will his allies remain by his side?

During the Survivor Series Kickoff, Enzo Amore cheated Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Although The Certified G once again resorted to questionable tactics to secure the win, he nevertheless remains on top of the Cruiserweight division. Relishing in his victory on Raw, The Realest Champ in the Room brought “The Zo Train” – Tony Nese, Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak – and praised them as his allies.
This prompted Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Akira Tozawa to confront Enzo and his friends. Alexander explained to the champion that each of his compatriots wanted to earn a title opportunity, unlike “The Zo Train” who merely suck up to The Certified G. The verbal spat turned into a brawl before Raw General Manager Kurt Angle made it an Eight-Man Tag Team Match with Enzo watching from ringside.
The team of Ali, Alexander, Swann and Tozawa was victorious following a jaw-dropping 0-5-4 executed by Ali. Each of the winning Cruiserweights certainly proved they are ready to earn the opportunity to face Enzo. Who will it be?

Drew Gulak revealed that Ezno was upset that “The Zo Train” was unsuccessful on Raw, so the WWE Cruiserweight Champion told his allies that they needed to be tougher. Explaining that he knows what it takes because he is from the streets, Drew Gulak revesled that he too was from the streets – specifically, the streets of Philadelphia.
In an effort to prove his toughness, Gulak announced that he will face his rival, Akira Tozawa, in a Street Fight on WWE 205 Live. Seeing the scenario as a win-win, Gulak felt he could show “The Zo Train” how to handle business and continue his campaign for a better WWE 205 Live by silencing Tozawa’s chants for good.
The Stamina Monster has experience in Cruiserweight Street Fights, having defeated The Brian Kendrick in one earlier this year. However, Gulak showed Tozawa the type of damage he can cause when he gave his nemesis a laryngeal contusion after a brutal assault. The stakes for Gulak and Tozawa are high, but only one Superstar will emerge as the tougher Cruiserweight.

Bran Stark, dragged by a retard into the snow because he saw a bird in his dreams with nothing to show from it, yawn. Stannis Baratheon, 2D king is slave of a witches pussy and his dreams to be king, literally no development, little display of any skepticism of Melisandre, yawn. Cersei, a fucking cunt in charge, yawn. Daenerys Targaryen, a stupid cunt who stumbled into power and has no idea what she's doing, yawn. Tommen, a boyking with no personality, no fight, and doesn't do anything, yawn. Arya Stark, a girl thrown around by the wind, when she does something, a non-major character usually makes a larger impact seconds later, yawn. Ramsay Bolton, an ass, we get it, yawn.
The only interesting characters are Tyrion Lannister, The Hound, and maybe Jamie Lannister. The only characters who aren't made out of cardboard and have a shred of intelligence.
There's so much going on and so little of it matters to the big picture. You cannot drive a story on inane happening after inane happening with little to no relief or inflection. I give such little shits about most of these characters and their stories. Who fucking cares about these 2D, flat, stereotypes. Please, somebody tell me what I'm missing!

Two weeks ago on WWE 205 Live, inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJP made his return to the home of the Cruiserweights, defeating former champion Akira Tozawa. It was a bold statement for The Duke of Dab to make upon his return, and he appeared laser-focused on reclaiming the top spot in the Cruiserweight division.
Last week, TJP battled Gran Metalik in a rematch from the finals of 2016’s Cruiserweight Classic, and he was victorious in that initial meeting and would go on to win the tournament – a fact The Fil-Am Flash was all too happy to remind his opponent of before the match. Unfortunately for TJP, history did not repeat itself, and he was defeated by Metalik.
As the masked Superstar celebrated with his friend Kalisto, an irate TJP took out his aggression by trashing the announce table and overturning the steel steps. There is no doubting The Duke of Dab’s accolades or his success in helping build WWE 205 Live, but as the competition has only intensified – especially during his hiatus – has TJP’s confidence become a detriment that affects his in-ring ability?

There has been no question that Cedric Alexander has built a formidable amount of momentum in recent weeks during his chase to capture the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. With his new ally Goldust in his corner, Alexander has only continued to show the Cruiserweight division and the WWE Universe why he one of the top contenders at 205 pounds and under.
Last week on WWE 205 Live, Alexander displayed his cunning repertoire by feigning a leg injury in an effort to defeat – and embarrass – Tony Nese in front of WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. For his part, The Certified G has managed to evade Alexander due to circumstances out of his control. First, he came down with the flu at the beginning of the year, postponing their Cruiserweight Championship battle, and the next week when they did square off, Enzo injured his ankle and retained the title by losing via count-out.
Despite the string of bad luck for The Realest Champ in the Room, Alexander has shown little sympathy for his nemesis, kicking Enzo’s injured ankle after defeating Nese last week on WWE 205 Live. On Raw, Alexander once again defeated The Premier Athlete in front of Enzo, continuing to build more momentum before their championship match at Royal Rumble.

As far as WWE cruiserweight matches go nowadays, TJP/Mustafa Ali from this week's Main Event was surprisingly fast paced and a cut above the norm. Mind you, it was still Main Event Match #2, so it didn't get a lot of time, but I felt they did the most with it.

>I’ve got the attendance at a very reasonable 800-900 at bell time. There is a small merchandise table with t shirts for Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy (reborn by fate), Kalisto and Enzo. There is a generic 205 Live shirt. JoJo is handling the ring announcing. They opened with the same video that accompanies the weekly TV show.
>1. Hideo Itami vs. Jack Gallagher. Excellent 12 minute match win by Itami with his new version of the diamond cutter.
>2. Kalisto and Gran Metalik vs. TJP and Drew Gulak. Excellent 17 minute match. These guys are holding nothing back. Gulak is an absolute master as controlling a crowd. Kalisto with the pin on TJP.
>3. Woken Matt Hardy pinned Bray Wyatt with a Twist of Fate in 14 minutes. Pre match, Hardy did a great job educating the audience who probably didn’t get the Woken character. He led the crowd in the OBSOLETE Song. Fun little brawl and the crowd seems to be really having a blast.
>4. Akira Tozawa vs. Ariya Daivari. These two absolutely put on a show. Crowd was completely into Tozawas HA’s. Akira with the senton off the top for the win in about 11 minutes.
>5. Tony Nese vs Mustafa Ali. Decent match. Mainly grounded with Some high spots by Ali. Ali with a SPECTACULAR 450 for the pin in about 13 minutes.
>6. Enzo Amore vs Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight title with Nia Jax as referee. Crazy reaction for Enzo, cheers and boos. Running down Lowell in epic fashion, not that he has to stretch too far. Enzo showing no Ill effects of the ankle. Enzo is on fire playing to the crowd. Cedric was outstanding and Enzo kept up. Jax with a Samoan Drop on Cedric to set up and Enzo pin in 15 minutes.

I don't think there's been any official statement on this, but this is my speculation on the matter: Last summer they gave Roderick Strong that great video package, but afterwards he kept failing to win big matches at TV tapings (other than against an outgoing Bobby Roode) and he ultimately wound up as a sort of a third-wheel in that Wargames match in November. Since then, he called out Lars Sullivan at an NXT taping (which went nowhere), and then he was used as UK title filler/fodder. It's entirely possible he could spend many more months spinning his tires like this in NXT, but after more than a year 'learning where the hard cam is' and with like half of Ring of Honor's 2015 roster on the docket I suspect his main roster debut was imminent and he's been slotted as a cruiserweight. Best of luck to you Mr. Strong, you're going to need it.
