Missed the live show, just saw it now. As a Tanahashi fan, I'm simply mad that Tana got such a short reign. I suppose I shouldn't complain because if Omega stayed with NJPW he probably would still be champion and Tana would never have gotten this reign but, well darn. So NJPW is calling this the 'Switchblade Shock', we all know that after the 'Rainmaker Shock' Tanahashi managed to get the title back right away, would the same happen now? Probably a rematch at least. New Japan Cup is the next big show, shaping up to be good with Ibushi and likely Okada and Tanahashi to be participating. The winner will likely face Jay at MSG, wonder who will win that. Also this year NJPW has a lot of foreign tours in USA and even London, wonder if Jay White winning the belt was to set up a gaijin to lead this western expansion since Omega left and probably would have been that guy.

If Ishii was 6 foot he would have been champion ages ago. Thats a good comparison power rankings wise but Ishii's wins over the big 4 happened in much better matches and he's definitely had a better crowd connection. Below Okada, Tana, Naito and Kenny nobody else has had as many great matches in recent memory.
