>USA and the Turner networks both willing to preempt wrestling, even at its supposed peak

Hulkamania, biggest draw in history brother, bigger than Stone Cold and the Attitude Era. Plus other greats like Andre, Piper, Macho Man etc. Don't think they were competing with another show like WCW Nitro then too, but then again the people who saw WCW wouldn't really watch WWF to being with.
