Well, I would try one of two things first and foremost, the first being to check all your caps. Check to see if any are leaking or bulging. In no specific order, I would check the cable(s) that connect the screen to the logic board. Try unplugging them and then plugging them back in. Also, make sure that they are nor damaged. If none of what I said helps, then you may need to buy a replacement screen.

So it took to a retro games repair shop and he told me it was the ribbon cable, i've messed around with it, and it sometimes works and other times doesn't, i can't seem to get the picture back. If i can't get it to work, i'll just buy another cheap dmg and re-do the mod again in one shot so i'm not bending the ribbon cable from re-entry.

I got another gameboy today, and bivert modded it as well, and for some reason i can't close it completely without squeezing the backlight. When i tried the original gameboy (the one with the distorted screen) it worked without problems (so it's not the screen that is the problem it's something with either the bivert chip or the back board).
