Right+B lets you move through Rock Tunnel in 1st gen Pokémon games without having to a) waste an attack slot on a pokémon you actually want to use by teaching it Flash b)wasting a slot on your belt with a throw-away pokémon that you taught Flash, thus weakening your team.

Right+B is the only way to play Gradius and similar shmups, unless you like seeing black stars floating in white space. Metroid 2 looks pretty trippy with it too (but admittedly not as nice as its default custom palette).
