>lurk in general for half-ded game every day
>dodge thread schizos and furfags
>do nothing but complain about game, dev team, and playerbase all day
>miss it once it's gone
It's just not the same if I can't bitch about the only online game I still play.

Sell me on Guild Wars 2. I haven't played since it released. How high can the skill ceiling get nowadays? I'm talking, how hard can I carry a party of incompetents through hard content all by myself?

Much of the game's content is based on facerolling everything in open world without even the real need to join a squad.

GW2 is the simplest "shut-your-brain-off" MMO where you can just relax and show up to events and kill things and win prizes. It has a great transmog system where all skins are perma accountwide unlocks. You need stones to do a transmutation (unless you get legendary gear) but they're not hard to get. There's not much gear progression, you reach peak stats relatively quickly and after that it's just grinding "mastery" tracks, which are like perma accountwide perks, some give combat advantages and many are quality of life/travel related.
Downside: the userbase is the most distilled possible form of reddit to ever exist, the game's "story" starts bad and gets worse. the second two full expansions (path of fire and end of dragons) go full on wokie faggotry, but after that the publisher smacked them around and they've switch to doing "mini expansions" with a hard story/cast of characters reset that slightly dials back the cringe and adds more emphasis on coomer skins.

Until you go into an instance and there's some simon says mechanic where your typical gw2 player will not do it and cause a wipe.
