I can't be the only one who likes star wars more for it's world design and models than the story. I've started trying to collect books like Sculpting a galaxy which focuses on the models used for the backgrounds and the various ships. They're really enjoyable to read or just browse for inspiration while having a bit of a dry patch.
What books like these would you recommend? What are cheap on the 2nd hand market these days and worth picking up?

Anything involving aliens, ships and lore guides. I personally like the old Essential Guides and RPG guides, but the best ones are any of the Cross-Section books.

Lots of RPG source books. Various West End Games and Wizards of the Coast books are worth a pirate. FFG didn't really make any setting information stuff aside from Suns of Fortune (Corellian sector) till after they had to deal with Disney canon.
