I guess even the mouse thought that that was a bad move since they removed the copyright claim off the fan film. 2019 is a make-it or break-it year for Star Wars and they could use any chances they have left for some goodwill. Now they have to start making good Star Wars stuff first before the rift can be healed and I don't think IX will be the one to do it.

They've proven that they have zero talent to achieve that. The only way to fix shit is to completely rebuild Lucasfilm and SW to how it was before Disney bought it or just lock that poor sucker away before it can suffer more.

So now all the cucks will cry “not disney! It wasn’t disney it was the sound company!”, and continue to felatiate the mouse as they constantly remark “remember how great it was that disney removes the copystrike from that shitty fan-film?” They’ll continue to hate TLJ but the next one will be another lifeless carbon copy and they’ll all go see it and proclaim “Star Wars is saved!” and nothing will happen. It might have even been their plan all along to stir up hate for themselves only to do the thing everyone wanted and then get showered in praise for it, just to revive their image a bit after TLJ, while cucks and soyboys continue to praise TFA and go see every new movie.

My understanding is that the scene takes place a little bit after ROTS so it makes sense he would still be grieving. It is a matter of continuity rather than phoning it in for the masses.

he's not so much a disney shill as he's a "i just want more star wars" type of fan. they are the unfortunate part of the fandom that's keeping the cancerous content alive. they see the movies, watch the shows, buy the toys, they aren't the harder fans like us. they are the masses.

Maybe some. For many, however, it'll be the sign that Disney can't be trusted with Star Wars fan content. Don't bawl over morons if they're thinning in numbers, it's not healthy. Enjoy the effects of this victory in the short term, but build on it for the long.

THIS, which means TLJ hurt them very badly, more than they have admitted.
> disney worshippers
Where are these "people" coming from? When I was a kid it was considered gay and retarded to like disney because it was for girls and now we have grown males (they are not men) shilling for them. I suppose male feminists love being princesses too.
>and proclaim “Star Wars is saved!
That is the 1 thing I fear are disney cultists being successful in convincing normalfags to see the next starwars movie because “abrams & disney fixed it”, causals will unfortunately follow word of mouth and public perception which can be changed with enough propaganda (hence the ridiculous state of the world today). I do not want any significant portion of the population falling for such a naked & transparent shilling attempts. Epsiode IX will be horrible no matter what they do to retool it (apparently they did nothing except add more pozz) because Episode IX is a continuation of the Rey/nu-characters “story” (I use the term loosely). Disney star wars and especially Ep IX needs to burn like the jedi texts they burned on screen.

Why wouldn't they? since RO is one of the most beloved nuwars flicks, even by the "haters", while being so painfully anti-white and feminist? They just have to add some Vader flash back in there (and it surely looks like they will) and voila: ABRAMS SAVED THE FRANCHISE!

What's the point of the scene? It's masturbatory and infantile. It has literally no bearing on the plot, and the fact that it was added in post production was obvious.

Like I said, it's vader porn. Star Wars has always been an action series and Lucas always did what was exciting for the young child within. What young child doesn't like Vader hitting people with a lightsaber?

I wish they'd had the balls to stay further away from iconic Star Wars imagery, and tell a new story. I wish the Death Star wasn't even in the movie. Maybe the guy in the cape could have been a classic villain, if they put the work in, and didn't make him share the spotlight with Tarkin and Vader. Who knows?
But given that Disneywars is never going to do that, it was at least an entertaining scene.

A good Gundam side story is the kind of thing they should have been aiming for with Rogue One. War in the Pocket is a story about a bunch of grunt pilots, and a kid caught in the middle. The Zeon super weapon doesn't take center stage. Fan favourite characters don't sweep in constantly to steal the scene. It has room to breath and tell it's own story about something small that happens in it's own isolated corner of that universe.

This. Maybe something like the Rookies episode of Clone Wars or some of the X-Wing stories. A group of Rebels out doing their own story that feels unique to them and works by itself. Gundam has so many interesting concepts that modern space adventure writers could learn from.

Although Gundam does kind of get to cheat, since the mech designs are the most iconic thing, and as long as a Zaku shows up, that part of the fanbase is satiated.
Still though, you could treat X-Wings the same way.

Also true. But despite it, they still handle stories and characters far better than most modern writers have, especially Disney. Even my least favorite Gundam animoos always manage to impress me in one way or another.

I've only really been exploring the franchise recently, but I've greatly enjoyed almost all of what I've seen, and been pretty impressed by it's scope, for something that seems like just a cheesy robot show on the surface.
It would actually make a great model of where to go with Star Wars post OT, instead of rehashing big empire vs little rebels forever. You can totally do epic space opera where both sides are evenly matched, or where the good guys even have a bit of an upper hand. The idea of the Titans being people who would have been considered heroes in the original series, who then become tyrants out of fears of their enemies rising up again is really interesting too.

Are you implying Vader was more powerful in the force than sheev? He was a broken shell, had he not lost his legs and other arm and Obi-Wan has just gassed him instead of putting him in the oven he would have been way stronger. As it stood he was a disappointment which is why sheev was looking to replace him for so long.

He was potentially more powerful. Palpatine himself thought that way, that Vader's blocks were mental. Remember that scenario was Vader dreaming. If we consider a scenario where Vader fully embraces the Dark Side, break through all chains, yes, he could surpass Palpatine.
Just remember that if he fully embraced the Dark Side he could had his lungs healed permanently, only the joy he felt by breathing on his own that broke his healing during his meditations.
