The star wars design philosophy is like "everything looks like it has a purpose aside from obvious artpieces in an actual set, everything still has a bit of mystery to it, and some things look truly exotic in a sparing way" this gives the series its sort of rough and tumble industrial look in most of the scenes except where the quality of life is super good like coruscant, its also why it translates so well into the cutaway books everybody loved. it looked like the galaxy far far away was only a generation in the future, just out of reach at all times. The lighting is off, the camera work is off, the acting is garbage and the token characters for pandering ruin the movie further. yidney could have the hundreds and thousands of props for the various couple hundred aliens that have made appearances in star wars, instead everyone looks like a various horrific downs syndrome mutation or severe elephantitis with morbid obesity. Pure human chracaters don't look creative or even outlandish like the queen of naboo outfit, instead you get "strong generic woman with pink hair" and "dude in a T-shirt they bought at old navy for the shoot 5 minutes ago"

I really can't bring myself to say anything nice about him. I mean, I could somewhere around 2005, but when Clone Wars started with him and Filoni, they guy just went off the rails in his douchery, to the point where he even declared that Luke never got married and Anakin got his scar from a bathtub slip (all the while constantly retconning his own world on a whim), but the real kicker was how he kept backtracking on shit he said and constantly contradicting himself. In fact the entire creation of Clone Wars in 2008 felt like a prototype for Disney, like he was already planning on selling the rights off to them and wanted to restart SW canon to make it more appealing for The Mouse. I initially was pleased with the idea of George selling before Disney declared the EU non-canon and started making even worse decisions than George. George in the 80s and early 90s was a cool guy, after that he just became an unpredictable and bipolar weirdo. In the end George was terrible but Disney's awfulness is leagues above his own. I still remember back before the star wars forums got nuked. Shit was like the dark aged whenever George spoke out. The only difference now is that Disney makes those dark ages look like sparkles and sunshine, and instead of a dark age, we're in a hell age now that was caused by George selling out to the most corrupt and self-serving children's company on the planet, so 70% of the decisions he's made since the late 90s has been for the worse, but none of it compares to the horrid day he decided to sell out to Disney.
