How does it fucking feel to turn from a Kyle Katarn clone into a Rahm Kota clone.

Im not saying that as a joke he turns from this Mercenary skeptical about using his force powers into a fucking blind jedi who lost his connection to the force. He and his cute Twi'lek gf were the most interesting parts about the show but were kicked to the sidelines due to Aladdin, tumblr hair, and Steve Blum.

I would but at the same time I just dont want to since I do not have video editing skills of any sorts.

Heres a piece of the script

Star Wars Rebels had an episode where they introduced Death Troopers into the show. The "best of the best Imperial Special Forces" and hyped them up as being this big threat. However when the time comes for the big battle tumblr hair and Aladdin take them out with ease. Notice how I said take them out not kill since even with Ezra DUAL WIELDING A LIGHT SABER AND BLASTER PISTOL all he does is knock them out. This effectively made the Death Troopers another joke like Storm Troopers a running theme in this show.

A good comparison I will use here is an early episode of Star Wars The Clone Wars. The early seasons of Clone Wars are regarded as "sub par" even by most of its die hard fans. However it still has a few diamonds in the rough. The diamond in question "Rookies". This episode introduced a new CIS Commando Droid. Now before this episode 2008 Clone Wars liked to portray droids in the same way Rebels does with its Storm Troopers faceless comedic relief goons meant to get cut down by the protagonists. Getting to the episode it is shown rather quickly these Commando droids are not regular B1 Battle droids but in fact present themselves as an actual threat to the protagonists of this episode. They even almost manage to trick 2 other well known characters on the show. Continually showing themselves to be a credible threat to the heroes of the show and giving tension of sorts.

That level of tension is never given the viewer in Rebels. Yes in Clone Wars the Republic was given some bullshit easy victories but the CIS still presented itself as a THREAT. When it comes to the Galactic Empire in Rebels not being to able to snuff out some back water insurgents while said insurgents destroy multiple star destroyers all throughout the show like they were nothing. It gets to a point where the viewer sees the Empire as nothing but a joke.

>That level of tension is never given the viewer in Rebels.

This is the biggest problem. The Empire is stupid and so it never wins. Even the death of not-Kota it is a massive Imperial loss where he died.

Yidsney has made the mistake of not just making the Empire a place of place seeking backstabbing, but making it 100% a place of backstabbing to the point of total dysfunction. What made the Empire interesting was its obvious competence at doing the military aspects of its job, and that it meant you could have a stormtrooper put his foot up your ass for not having an identification card. This is why Thrawn and Tarkin are popular characters and they have to keep introducing fearsome characters.

That's the trouble with all those PT/OT in between works. They can't resist but shoving Jedi around even if they are supposed to be all but extinct. Yet you see Jedi with the Rebellion like mushrooms after the rain.

This is why younger George had such strict rules about letting others write stories that took place between the PT and the OT. He probably knew they'd be filled to the brim with Jedi. Hence why there are hardly any stories that take place during that period.

If you go by the OT that would make sense

>"A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights"

Which implied the purge was a somewhat longer operation.

Then George Boy came with "durr hurr Execute Order 66/Anakin slaughtered all Jedi in the temple in a single night" which basically reduced the jedi population to 2. There was no "hunt".

Yes. Obi Wan implies that Vader was the major reason the Jedi Order was eliminated. The time period between PT and OT should be Vader hunting down and killing Jedi.

This would btw be the most successful Star Wars movie or show ever. There is nothing more awesome than Vader killing Jedi.

 No.11057

Yet, as the other trooper said, Obi Wan's speech implies that Vader was the leading guy in a the hunt, the one who helped topple the jedi. And when you watch ROTS you can clearly see that the clones were more than enough to kill the jedi, Anakin was just there killing kids. Even without Vader, Palpatine and the clones, via order 66 managed to destroy the Jedi Order in a single night.

Come the EU and Vader was most of time busy quelling small time rebellions, putting production lines and quotas on the schedule with occasionally going after a jedi here and there. Obi Wan speech implied "Yeah, my former pupil got evil and help the Empire hunt us, one by one until the point of extinction" and not "Yeah, our troops turned on us, killing the absolute majority while my former people went to our temple and killed the children and support staff behind".

I think the thing you over look is the Hitler Paradox.

Hitler didn't kill the Jews, Hitler didn't go out there hunting them down one by one. Hitler didn't toss the zyklon in the chambers, but regardless of this he was pivotal in it and he was right up there commanding those who did.

It is the exact same with Vader purging the Jedi, he might not have done all the groundwork or killed every one of them personally, but he was the high overseer of the purge.

The old EU had a few hundred Jedi escape immediate death, especially among . Vader directly tracked down and killed most of them or trained inquisitor apprentices to do so most survivors didn't last more than a couple years.

This is especially true with the Almas Academy in play. The attack there doesn't quite go as well as the main temple, especially because most students live off-campus, and there's a lot of escapees. They organize after escaping but Vader tortures one of them and he spills the beans about where the rest are hiding and kills most of them.

>>11058

It could be done from the prospective of a remaining Jedi. Hell, "Die Hard on a Acclamator" could be a cool movie even if Disney completely lacks the skills to pull it off

>Jedi and Padawan on ship near the end of clone wars

>see disturbance in the force as purge starts but before communication happens so they prepare a bit

>ship only gets order right before entering long hyperspace trip and it's not processed till the trip started

>turn non-clone volunteers (in the EU the Republic filled a lot of navy roles with them) against the clones in a mutiny

>mostly successful and the survivors join up with Confederates they were supposed to attack in the Bryx system

>Jedi and Padawan leave to avoid attention

>still 30 minutes on movie

>they've escaped to Nar Shadda because it's easy to get lost there

>Vader finds them and spend rest of movie chasing them

>dynamic of hunter vs. hunted flipped from first part of movie

The original concept of Episode II was not the mystery of who was trying to assassinate Padme, it was the mystery of who was assassinating Jedi. Obi Wan would eventually discover it was his pupil Anakin Skywalker that was behind it and have a big fight with him.

The ideas for the prequels changed over the years, originally Episode I-III was going to be condensed into one Obi Wan focused movie and Episode I was going to be about the origins of the Jedi.

>Lucas: Well, anyway, Luke’s father gets subverted by the Emperor. He gets a little weird at home and his wife begins to figure out that things are going wrong and she confides in Ben, who is his mentor. On his missions through the galaxies, Anakin has been going off doing his Jedi thing and a lot of Jedi have been getting killed—and it’s because they turn their back on him and he cuts them down. The president is turning into an Emperor and Luke’s mother suspects that something has happened to her husband. She is pregnant. Anakin gets worse and worse, and finally Ben has to fight him and he throws him down into a volcano and Vader is all beat up.

>Now, when he falls into the pit, his other arm goes and his leg and there is hardly anything left of him by the time the Emperor’s troops fish him out of the drink. Then when Ben finds out that Vader has been fished out and is in the hands of the Empire, he is worried about it. He goes back to Vader’s wife and explains that Anakin is the bad guy, the one killing all the Jedi.

>When he goes back his wife, Mrs. Skywalker has had the kids, the twins, so she has these two little babies who are six months old or so. So everybody has to go into hiding. The Skywalker line is very strong with the Force, so Ben says, “I think we should protect the kids, because they may be able to help us right the wrong that your husband has created in the universe.” And so Ben takes one and gives him to a couple out there on Tatooine and he gets his little hideout in the hills and he watches him grow. Ben can’t raise Luke himself, because he’s a wanted man. Leia and Luke’s mother go to Alderaan and are taken in by the king there, who is a friend of Ben’s. She dies shortly thereafter and Leia is brought up by her foster parents. She knows that her real mother died.

Yeah, it was a bit cheap, but it was also a powerful montage. Remember that Obi-Wan and Yoda went back to the Jedi Temple to shut down the beacon summoning the rest of the Jedi? (And sent their own warning for the Jedi to stay away didn't they? I've forgotten as I haven't seen it again for about a year.) Vader could still personally hunt down most of the Jedi that survived ROTS.

That's so weird. I had basically the same idea myself when Attack Of The Clones was being made! In my idea I thought it would be cool if Anakin created the Darth Vader suit (minus the life support) to hide his identity while killing Jedi and spread fear of this new Sith Lord "Darth Vader" like an evil Batman. It could have had a somewhat slasher-movie element but with Vader using a lightsaber instead of a butcher's knife or machete.

They did without knowing if they survived or not, a desperate attempt to save them. We don't know how many returned to Coruscant before Obi Wan altered the signal.

It considered a pacific point that the majority of Jedi were killed by the Order 66, from around 10k only around 120 survived. The Jedi Order was broken in the Knightfall operation. Vader hunting the survivors were basically a long term mop-up operation. The Clone Army destroyed the Jedi, not Vader, his participation was really minor in comparison.

The movies only showed a few Jedi being killed by the clone-turned-stormtroopers. That's what's canon. If something in the EU said otherwise it's irrelevant since the only EU that's canon is what George Lucas specifically declared canon and he declared very little of the EU as canon.

Its not Disney shilling. I had beefs with George. Lots of em and its his fault Disney now owns SW in the first place when he could've instead sold it to people who actually gave a damn about the franchise and its fandom. Hell if SW could've been owned by Luceno, I'd die happy. But some dreams are just impossible.

The new date is January 1, 2019 but Disney was already working even back in 2014 to get congress to push it all the way to 2040. There's a reason why Mickey Mouse has become apart of their trademarks, they're doing the same with Star Wars so they never have to give any part of it up.

Look up the Transformers wiki and the Crystal Gems. A few years ago the site got a bunch of Tumblr fags for admins. The worst comes from IDW comics which continues to introduce all sorts of weird shit like tranny Transformers who are obsessed with gender issues and would truly constitutes as love and sex in a Transformer Society. In the new Comics there is a new faction now made up of entirely "female" Transformers (and by that I mean manly-looking Autobots who just call themselves female with some more feminine ones in their ranks) who are colored pink and green. Theyre some kind of spirit vagina worshipping fire cult that have the ability to fuse into larger and more girlier or sometimes androgynous pink Transformers while they chant some sort of creed. All Transformer Wiki articles surrounding them are filled to the brim with obnoxious Steven Universe references that have begun to spread onto other articles unrelated to them. The admins also removed all the more sexist or perverted jokes from the wiki along with all jokes concerning kiss players to the point where they even threatened others who tried to undo such edits. Did I mention there are a bunch of trannies on there now? But even in the end one could just ignore the Transformers wiki but the new Comics are all trash while the movies are mind-numbing. I haven't seen the Bumblebee one but I have little reason to doubt it'll be just as bad as the last ones.
