Xi Jinping 'most powerful Chinese leader since Mao Zedong
China's ruling Communist Party has voted to enshrine Xi Jinping's name and ideology in its constitution, elevating him to the level of founder Mao Zedong.
The unanimous vote to incorporate "Xi Jinping Thought" happened at the end of the Communist Party congress, China's most important political meeting.
Mr Xi has steadily increased his grip on power since becoming leader in 2012.

Soviet imperialism?
So recently I learned that the Soviet Union forced ultimatums upon the baltic states. These ultimatums led to the loss of sovereignty of the baltic states, and caused resentment towards the Soviets whose effects can still be felt today in the hostility towards socialism and Russia.
Was it imperialism? To me it seems like a typical example. Nation occupied, populace grows to resent their occupiers. Even though the baltic peoples became Nazi sympathizers I can't really blame them - I would instead blame the Soviets for this tragedy.
