Q & Anons, what the fuck is the deal with US Attorney Geoffrey Berman & SEC Chairman Jay Clayton?

AG Barr asked Geoffrey Berman to resign but Berman says he wont resign until a presidentially appointed nominee is confirmed by the Senate.
The DoJ indicated that SEC Chairman Jay Clayton would replace Berman as US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, the same Jay Clayton whose SEC has done nothing to prosecute financial corruption - Elon Musk being a case an point.
Q, what is going on here? The optics of this does not look good if what is written in the ZeroHedge article is true and is the full picture. This shows political motive to replace Berman because he went after Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen.
This could be loaded with hypocrisy if there is no other reason why Berman is being asked to resign? How do you go after Barack's admin for its politically motivated actions against a political opponent and then follow by attempting to replace a US Attorney because he is investigating you? Granted Barack's admin's actions were illegal but the optics of this move by AG Barr paints a terrible stain on the anti-corruption priorities of the TRUMP admin
Can anyone shed light on this please?
