If you look closely at Pelosi's words and her body language in her comments the other day, you get some clear hints about what is going on.

At 4:11, referring to the Democratic caucus, she says "our unity is our power"– for a second, right as she says this, a look of mockery flashes on her face.

This flashing look of mockery occurs again at 4:21, when talking about the results she expects for the Democrats: >>4084632

The uncomfortable and unenthused looks on her colleagues' faces, and these subtle moments of mockery suggest that the words are not quite so true as they would seem. The Democrats did not nominate her "because they are so unified". Something else is going on.

The most telling part starts at 6:35, with Nancy talking about working with POTUS. At 6:38 she hesitates, and looks, up, then grimaces and looks down, before referring to "my power"… This noticable pause and facial complication clearly indicates that there is some hidden emotion relating to her own power.

When we look at how quickly and confidently POTUS suggested Pelosi would be the speaker again after the midterms; compare Pelosi's manner and attitude to Lindsey Graham's; and keep in mind the basic idea that POTUS et. al. are using leverage to make deals and make progress in draining the swamp, then we have a very good framework for explaining Pelosi's ease of victory, her overall air of cheerfulness (freedom), her colleagues' apparent ill-ease, and her nonetheless stumbling at the memory of her own power (no longer independent), and her apparent subtle facial mockery of her colleagues.

Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Hyatt Hotels billionaire heiress Penny Pritzker is one of 40 politicians named in Sunday’s release of the Paradise Papers, an investigation of 13.4 million leaked records from two offshore services firms and 19 tax havens' company registries.

Pritzker, who served as the U.S. Secretary of Commerce under the Obama administration from 2013 to 2017, was required by federal law to divest any business interests identified by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics as potential conflicts of interests within 90 days of her confirmation. In a May 2013 letter written to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Pritzker stated she would divest herself of 221 holdings.

Her ethics forms the following year simply listed her stakes in two of those holdings, IAS and Triton, as having been sold. Pritzker's shares in IAS Holdings were worth betwen $15,000 and $50,000, while her shares in Triton Container were between $1 million and $5 million at the time of transfer.

According to the Paradise Papers, that’s not what happened. "Documents show that on June 27, 2013- two days after her confirmation — Pritzker transferred shares in IAS Holdings and Triton Container to Delaware-registered DRBIT Investors LLC," wrote the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.

A form filed with the Bermuda Monetary Authority shows that DRBIT is owned by trusts for Penny's children, Donald Pritzker Traubert and Rose Pritzker Traubert.

“Ms. Pritzker, in consultation with and under the review of the Office of Government Ethics during her service as U.S. Secretary of Commerce, timely complied with all of the rules and requirements promulgated by the Office of Government Ethics with respect to her divestitures and her holdings," a spokesperson wrote in an e-mail.

Triton Container is a Bermuda-based shipping container company founded by Penny’s cousin Tom Pritzker and his business partner Ed Schneider in 1980. Tom Pritzker invested $1 million at the time of its founding. In February 2011, the Pritzkers sold a majority stake in Triton Container to Warburg Pincus & Vestar for a reported $1 billion. It now has more than $8oo million in revenues and $8 billion in assets.

IAS Holdings, meanwhile, is also a Bermuda-based firm, but FORBES was able to find little information on the entity. A Bermuda tax assessment form, found in the Paradise Papers, showed IAS as an "exempted" company, meaning it doesn’t have to pay local taxes. It will also not be subject to any new taxes until March 2035.

Prior to joining Obama’s team, Pritzker co-founded real estate investment firm Artemis Real Estate Partners, served as the chairman of the board for credit-leading firm TransUnion, and also was a board member of Hyatt Hotels, initially purchased by her uncle Jay Pritzker in 1957.

In her exit memo to President Obama as Secretary of Commerce, she touted cybersecurity and enforcing U.S. trade laws as her two main areas of achievement.

Private sector, Pritzker has been focusing on PSP Capital, her private investment firm that has interests in real estate, oil and gas, startups and more. In September 2017, Pritzker became a board member of drone startup Measure, joining her first corporate board since leaving the Cabinet. Pritzker ranked as No. 315 on The Forbes 400 list of the wealthiest people in America.

Rosenstein is responsible for picking Mueller to lead an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election — a probe that now includes whether Trump sought to obstruct justice — following then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from the investigation and Trump’s decision to fire Comey, then the FBI director.

After his firing, Comey passed to the media memos detailing interactions he’d had with the president, including one in which Trump reportedly asked the FBI chief for his loyalty. The publication of details from Comey's memos helped prompt Rosenstein to appoint a special counsel, a move that has earned the ire of Trump.

Trump later conceded that he had made up his mind to fire Comey before receiving Rosenstein's recommendation and that it was the bureau's ongoing Russia investigation that was on his mind when he decided to dismiss the FBI director.

I had only smoked about 5 1/2 years and only a pack a day. I was hooked on them though.

Having said that, when I had a craving, and I had many of them. I told myself to wait 5 minutes and if I still wanted a cig, I would then allowed myself to have one. The cravings always went away within 5 minutes. It was the mental game I played with myself. Keep busy and with your hands, if possible.

Main piece of advice. Don't ever think you can just have that one cig. Don't think, because you fail, you will never have another chance at it. It is a learning experience as well. You find out how to do it.
