It noted that information discussed inside a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) is not automatically classified, since unclassified matters may also be discussed there, and stressed that simply speaking inside a SCIF does not in itself confer whistleblower protections.

Separate from the alleged disclosures, questions have also arisen about the investigative approach adopted within the DIG, which was established under former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Multiple sources who have spoken to Liberation Times claim that the investigation was compromised by elements linked to the CIA, allegedly to discourage Congress from pursuing further UAP hearings and legislation, while deterring additional whistleblowers from coming forward publicly.

James E. Erdman III, a senior CIA operations officer assigned to ODNI on a joint-duty posting, was among the earliest members of the DIG and led its work on UAP, anomalous health incidents and the origins of COVID-19.

Erdman subsequently alleged that the CIA obstructed the group’s work, monitored its communications and tracked its contacts with whistleblowers.

In testimony provided to the Senate in May this year, he described himself as a senior CIA operations officer and alleged that the agency had investigated DIG members and monitored their computer and telephone activity.

However, Erdman’s own recent public comments about UAP claims and the wider UFO community have raised questions about the assumptions informing the group’s inquiry.

Those concerns are particularly relevant because Erdman, as a CIA officer assigned to ODNI, led the examination of allegations that implicated his home agency in a secretive UAP retrieval and reverse-engineering effort.

Writing on X in response to comments by journalist Walter Kirn, Erdman stated:

‘I generally lean in on believing fighter pilots and submariners with everything to lose when they choose to risk vocalizing their experiences to their chain of command.

I just don’t think we can draw a straight line between all their stories and alien life just yet and they don't always jump to that conclusion either. They want answers just as much as the next guy.

‘There is also … a whole lot of grifting and lies infecting the UFO community. If anyone is up to the task of discerning between fact and fiction, I have no doubt @walterkirn is the guy.

Nothing has been black and white on this issue. Videos released without explanation, often released during unfavorable news cycles, and trumpeted by the same set of inter-connected alien-chasers should not be propagated as evidence.

Erdman appeared willing to credit military witnesses describing incidents outside the secrecy of alleged UAP Special Access Programs and Controlled Access Programs.

By contrast, he characterised claims involving non-human biologics, recovered craft and reverse-engineering efforts - allegedly concealed within those compartments - as lies, mistakes or grifts unless direct evidence was produced.

That position raises questions about the approach taken during the UAP investigations Erdman led within the DIG and the treatment of whistleblowers.

Requiring publicly available proof from programs alleged to have been deliberately hidden behind the highest levels of classification risks prejudging the very claims the group was tasked with examining.

The concern is heightened by accounts from whistleblowers who interacted with the DIG. They claim that, rather than receiving an impartial hearing, they faced suspicion, intimidation and attempts to undermine their credibility.

Erdman’s remarks do not establish that he personally participated in such conduct. However, their adversarial framing raises questions about whether allegations concerning covert UAP programs were investigated with sufficient independence and an open mind.

Concerns about the DIG’s work form part of wider allegations concerning resistance to UAP disclosure within ODNI.

Three sources have told Liberation Times that figures within ODNI linked to the CIA are resisting efforts by the Trump administration to release more substantial information concerning UAP.

Those sources identified Aaron Lukas, the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, as one of the officials allegedly providing such resistance.

Lukas previously spent more than two decades within the Intelligence Community and served as a CIA Chief of Station.

According to his official ODNI biography, he managed sensitive clandestine programs, conducted covert operations and maintained liaison relationships around the world.

Liberation Times has not independently substantiated the allegations concerning Lukas.

Belief in aliens now mainstream

As Time magazine noted last week, “America Is Finally Taking Extraterrestrials Seriously.”

Nearly 80 years after U.S. military officials said they recovered a crashed “flying disc” outside Roswell, New Mexico — and then said it was just a weather balloon — belief in aliens has become mainstream.

According to a recent poll, 69% of Americans think UAPs are extraterrestrial spacecraft, and 84% think the government has information about aliens it should release.

The nonprofit Disclosure Foundation, which advocates the release of information about UAPs, called it the most popular single issue in the country, cutting across demographics and deep partisan divides.

President Donald Trump, noting that popular interest, directed all government agencies to review their files and release any information they had about alien life.

“The people can decide for themselves,” the president wrote on social media, “‘WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?’”

The Pentagon released the first batch of “UFO Files” in May. A fifth batch was released online on Friday.

It included numerous artistic renderings of shapes and lights and lights that people reported to government officials between 2002 and 2026.

New York Times columnist Ross Douthat said there are “serious questions” about aliens that government disclosures probably will not answer — or cannot answer, like whether there is a connection between extraterrestrials and the Nephilim.

Several charismatic pastors have recently claimed government officials privately fed them information about the pending disclosures, asking them to help prepare people for the possible spiritual consequences.

One, however, has subsequently clarified the information about aliens was his own opinion, not a government officials.

Claims recovered memory

Souza does not claim any access to government secrets, but something better: firsthand knowledge.

“When I was a child, I experienced visitations that I couldn’t explain,” she said on her YouTube channel Friday.

“For years, I didn’t remember them. Then, decades later, God began revealing what was really behind those encounters, and it changed my life.

That journey sent me deep into Scripture, ancient history, spiritual warfare and years of research.”

Souza has not talked about aliens before. Her ministry started in 2006, a few years after she completed a prison sentence for the manufacture of methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute.

Katie Souza Ministries initially focused on prisoners, with Souza sharing a dramatic conversion testimony.

Souza then shifted into faith healing and deliverance, speaking more and more frequently, as time went on, about spiritual warfare and generational curses.

Her life story has also grown darker as time has gone on. In 2025, for example, she told Christian podcaster Dan Duval that her grandmother was sexually assaulted by a Nazi officer during World War II.

She said that she had to break a family curse connected to Adolf Hilter’s attempt to harness the power of a Satanic altar.

She added that another family member was a sex trafficker with the Illuminati, a group that some conspiracy theorists believe controls major world events.

“You can’t make this stuff up,” Souza said. “You wonder why you’re fighting stuff your whole life? Because people are controlled by demons and they come in when you’re a child and submit you to that kind of behavior, that demonic behavior.”

Souza has also made statements about believing in time travel, astral projection and werewolves. More recently, she has talked about a “spirit spouse” trying to take her from her husband, Robert Souza.

Evangelist JonMark Baker, host of the Minor Prophets podcast, said many regular charismatic leaders have failed to recognize Souza’s growing strangeness.

“This is the trap of some sensible charismatics,” Baker said. “They’re just pastoring a church somewhere and they’re like, ‘Who believes any of this stuff?’

It’s obviously weird and they don’t pay attention to any of it because it’s just like, ‘that’s weird.’”

Baker believes that is a serious mistake.

“Katie Souza is very influential,” he said. “There is no place for this type of heresy in a true Christian charismatic movement.

There’s no place for it. And so, we need to be vigilant about those who are spreading false teaching that’s spreading like gangrene.”

Souza’s first book, published three years after she was released from prison, was self-published.

Now her ministry brings in annual donations of more than $2 million, according to tax records, and her last three books have been published by Charisma.

She has 163,000 followers on Facebook and 234,000 on YouTube.

She is urging them all to buy “Star Gods” to learn how to stop what she calls the alien agenda to produce human-demon hybrids.

“We have to ask ourselves, you know, what’s up with the egg heist?” Souza said. “Satan actually could have children, okay? Spiritual children and children-in-the-natural-flesh children.”

Texas Airspace Closures Add to the Donald Trump UFO Conspiracy

On 10 February 2026, the Federal Aviation Administration closed airspace over El Paso International Airport at 11.30pm.

The FAA initially said the shutdown would last 10 days. Administration officials later said it followed a sudden incursion by drones linked to Mexican drug cartels, while Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy wrote, 'The threat has been neutralised.'

The report notes that cartel drones had crossed the US border before without regularly prompting airport-wide closures. The source said that Customs and Border Protection officials had used a Pentagon-shared anti-drone laser without coordinating with the FAA.

They believed they were targeting a cartel drone, but the object was identified as a party balloon. The restriction was lifted at about 7am, roughly seven hours after it began.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz sought a classified briefing, while Senator Jack Reed rejected the administration's explanation. The same report says Congress has not publicly disclosed what lawmakers learnt in those briefings.

A separate FAA notice issued on 8 November 2025 designated a large area southeast of El Paso as 'national defence airspace' until 7 November 2026.

Pilots were warned that intruders could be intercepted, detained and interviewed, and that deadly force could be used against an aircraft posing an imminent security threat. The restriction was cancelled six days later, on 14 November.

The timing matters because the restricted area covered the Sierra Blanca zone where Skywatcher had operated until July 2025. Sources said the restriction was initiated by a Joint Special Operations Command liaison to the FAA to 'shoot down drones.'

No public order supporting that allegation is included in the supplied material, and the reason for the brief restriction remains contested.

What Trump Allegedly Knows About UAP Operations

The most serious claims concern White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, nearly 200 miles northwest of Sierra Blanca.

Defence sources said that UAP sightings increased there while Skywatcher conducted its operations, including its final July test.

They further allege that government agencies used temporary flight restrictions to conduct detection and interception operations.

Sources also claimed the same signalling and neuro-meditative techniques were used, and that objects had been downed in the United States and near Juarez, Mexico.

White House sources allegedly told reports that Trump personally authorised the operation, with Pete Hegseth and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence involved.

Those are allegations, not facts. IBTimes UK cannot independently verify them.

According to reports, some officials fear Trump may be told the objects are foreign surveillance drones rather than something more unusual.

It also attributes to sources a description of objects with no visible propulsion, instantaneous manoeuvres, hypersonic speeds and stealth capabilities.

No recovered object, technical assessment or official statement confirming those characteristics is provided.

As federal agencies maintain their official silence, the intersection of classified military manoeuvres and civilian UAP research continues to fuel intense global debate.

Judge Pauses Rollout of N.Y.C. Second-Home Tax, Dealing Blow to Mamdani

A group of homeowners had sued the city, arguing that the introduction of the tax was mishandled. After the judge issued an order pausing the rollout, the city said it would appeal.

The fight over a contentious tax on the second homes of wealthy New Yorkers intensified on Monday when a judge ordered a pause on its rollout, and the administration of Mayor Zohran Mamdani vowed to appeal within hours.

The judge, Wayne M. Ozzi of State Supreme Court on Staten Island, issued a temporary restraining order after a group of homeowners sued the city last week, arguing that the rollout was being mishandled.

The tax, proposed by Gov. Kathy Hochul and backed by Mr. Mamdani, was lauded by supporters as delivering on the mayor’s promise to “tax the rich.”

It was supposed to generate some $500 million annually for the city, which faces a budget gap. While the judge on Monday was not asked to rule on the legality of the tax itself, his order threw a wrench into those plans, at least for now.
