Hunter Biden resurfaces in LA, reacts to questions about Biden tapes, UFO files

EXCLUSIVE: Hunter Biden was spotted by paparazzi in West Los Angeles this week, where the former first son briefly reacted to questions about ongoing litigation surrounding former President Joe Biden’s interview tapes and alleged government UFO files.

"Hunter, what do you think of the DOJ when they release your father's interview tapes from the biography that he did?" a reporter asked as he approached Biden near Wilshire Boulevard.

"What are you talking about?" Hunter Biden said.

The exchange comes amid ongoing litigation seeking the release of audio tied to former President Joe Biden’s classified-documents probe, which fueled scrutiny over the elder Biden’s memory and fitness while in office.

The probe examined Joe Biden’s handling and discussion of classified material during conversations with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer.

Special Counsel Rob Hur said the author had deleted the files, but the Justice Department was able to recover them.

The conservative watchdog Oversight Project sued the DOJ seeking release of audio recordings from Joe Biden’s interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.

Biden has denied wrongdoing and said he cooperated fully with the probe. "I don’t know, man — I hadn’t heard that one," Hunter Biden later said.

The reporter also asked about the recently released UFO Files. "It’s crazy right?" Hunter Biden replied, but did not elaborate.

Hunter Biden was also one of several recent individuals whose Secret Service protection was rescinded by the Trump administration.

Trump announced in March 2025 that Hunter Biden and his half-sister Ashley Blazer Biden — child of Jill and Joe — would cease to have such protection.

The president criticized the fact that Hunter had "as many as 18 people" on his USSS detail.

Hunter Biden’s appearance marked a rare public sighting for the former first son, who has largely stayed out of public view in recent months.

One Of Russia's Largest Fuel Facilities Spews 'Black Rain' Over Ryazan After Deadly Ukrainian Drone Strike

An early Friday drone strike triggered a major fire at the Ryazan Oil Refinery, one of Russia's largest fuel production facilities, according to local residents and Russian monitoring channels.

Residents reported multiple loud explosions after drones were seen flying over the city, with videos circulating online showing flames and thick smoke rising from the refinery.

"An ASTRA OSINT analyst has determined that in addition to two high-rise buildings, an oil refinery in the city was damaged. Photos taken by witnesses were taken near the Olympic Town microdistrict, approximately 4 km from the Ryazan Oil Refinery," one independent Russian outlet wrote.

Two high-rise buildings in Ryazan were also struck, resulting in significant casualties:

A Ukrainian drone barrage killed at least four people and ignited a huge fire at an oil refinery in the city of Ryazan on Friday, in what appeared to be a direct retaliation for a deadly Russian strike on Kyiv a day earlier.

Ryazan region Governor Pavel Malkov confirmed the deaths in posts on Telegram, adding that dozens of people, including children, were wounded in the attack. He said drones struck two apartment buildings and an industrial site, which he did not identify by name.

There were also reports that "black rain" fell from the sky after the refinery was struck, which adds additional confirmation to serious damage at the fuel facility amid the ongoing emergency response:

The strike sparked a fire at the Ryazan oil refinery, leading to what some locals described as an "oil rain." Residents complained online of sticky black spots on their cars, windows, and building facades.

Ukrainian sources have alleged that both the Ryazan refinery and Gazprom's Astrakhan gas plant are considered critical components of Moscow's war infrastructure.

Persian Gulf Countries 'Refused' UAE Call For Joint Attack On Iran

The UAE tried but failed to persuade neighboring states, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to take part in a coordinated military attack on Iran, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed (MbZ) spoke by phone with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) and other regional leaders to propose the coordinated attacks, shortly after the US and Israel launched the war on Iran on February 28, the sources said.

During the calls, MbZ argued that the states that formed the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) must act as a bloc to attack Iran alongside the US and Israel. However, his fellow Gulf leaders told him it was "not their war," according to the report.

When Saudi Crown Prince MbS refused to go along with the scheme, already shaky ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia were further strained. The Saudi refusal also contributed to the Emirates' decision to leave OPEC and OPEC+, the oil-producing cartel, and deepen its existing ties to Israel.

The UAE ultimately carried out several strikes against Iran without support from other Gulf states in early March and in April. Iran targeted US bases and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia with drones in the first days of the war. Yet the kingdom focused its efforts on promoting Pakistani-mediated negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Qatar considered joining the UAE in an attack after Iranian missile strikes hit Doha's Ras Laffan Industrial City, the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, causing extensive damage and major fires, a Gulf official said. However, Doha also ultimately chose to de-escalate and throw its support behind negotiations.

Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman joined Saudi Arabia and Qatar in rejecting the UAE plan. One source said US officials were aware of the UAE effort and that Washington pushed Saudi Arabia and Qatar to join a coordinated military response.

On Thursday, the Financial Times (FT) reported that Saudi Arabia had "floated" the possibility of reaching a "non-aggression pact" between Iran and neighboring states modeled on the 1975 Helsinki Accords, which eased tensions during the Cold War in Europe.

CIA Tells Senate They Obstructed Federal UFO Investigations

A current CIA operations officer testified under oath this week that his own agency obstructed a federal investigation that included UFOs, illegally monitored its personnel, and took back forty boxes of files being prepared for public release.

According to testimony before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on May 13, James Erdman III, a senior operations officer still employed by the CIA, said he led the Director’s Initiatives Group, or the DIG, on joint duty at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence between March 2025 and April 2026 under DNI Tulsi Gabbard. The DIG investigated three areas, one of which was UAP.

Erdman testified that the CIA refused to provide the information needed to determine why analytic standards were violated, monitored the computers and phones of DIG personnel, and tracked their contact with whistleblowers.

As noted in his sworn statement, one CIA contractor was fired the day after meeting with the DIG team. Erdman was the head of a federal investigation telling Congress that the CIA was actively frustrating his work.

CIA communications director Liz Lyons called the hearing dishonest political theater, but according to Townhall and the Daily Caller, she did not address any of the specific obstruction claims.

This is not the first account of the DIG operating against the people it was set up to serve.

Matthew Brown, the former State Department analyst who authored the Immaculate Constellation report, described on the Weaponized podcast a separate ODNI meeting at Liberty Crossing where a promised UAP whistleblower protection program was never offered to him.

According to Brown, the framework was used to influence Congress to shut down UAP inquiry rather than to protect witnesses. Both whistleblowers were explicit that they do not place this on Director Gabbard.

They place it on personnel embedded inside the structure she authorized.

Erdman also testified that when the DIG ceased operations in April, the CIA took back forty boxes of JFK and MK Ultra files that DNI Gabbard’s office was processing for declassification.

DNI press secretary Olivia Coleman posted on X that there was no raid on the DNI office, and Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna issued her own May 14 post stating she never used the word raid. What Luna has consistently said is that the files were taken.

On NewsNation, she warned that if the documents are not returned within twenty-four hours, the faces of those involved will be made public and a motion for a subpoena will follow, with possible contempt of Congress proceedings.

Congressman Eric Burlison responded on X, calling the CIA’s official statement one of the worst days in recent history for the agency’s credibility.

Reference his earlier interview with The Hill, where Burlison said the first PURSUE batch of UAP files was low-hanging fruit and that real disclosure work will require pressing the CIA and federally funded research and development centers, possibly with subpoenas.

Erdman closed his statement with a direct call for another Church Committee, the 1970s investigation that exposed illegal CIA surveillance and assassination plots against foreign leaders.

Anna Paulina Luna's deleted CIA post draws attention amid Tulsi Gabbard row; ‘Congress gonna hit a wall’

Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna put out a scathing warning to the CIA on X, but has since deleted the post.

The Republican lawmaker's move has drawn attention after James Eardman III, the CIA whistleblower, claimed that the agency had removed files linked to MK Ultra and JFK's assassination from the office of Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence.

“TONIGHT at 7pm the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets will be hosting an EMERGENCY PRESS CONFERENCE to address individuals at the CIA operating what appears to be in direct defiance of a presidential executive order,” Luna had written.

The post was shared by an individual who noted things were getting ‘spicy’ as the CIA appeared to be at odds with the US government.

Notably, at Wednesday's Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, Erdman alleged CIA swooped in and took the files which were set to be declassified, based on an executive order from President Donald Trump.

These accusations riled up Luna who put out a series of posts against the John Ratcliffe-helmed intelligence agency. “Preserve the documents and deliver them to @DNIGabbard immediately or we will hold you in contempt of Congress @CIA,” Luna wrote.

Elsewhere, she added “Someone at the CIA is actively undermining an executive order @CIA. I suggest you figure out who and quick. Punitive action incoming.”

She further said “Given the nature of docs in question, we are sending a preservation notice.

Docs need to be returned to ODNI given that ODNI was given direction and authority by the President to declass RFK, MLK, & JFK.

Regarding MKULTRA, these were documents specifically requested by my Task Force and currently being used for our investigation.”

.In the end Luna issued an ultimatum to the CIA as well, saying “The CIA has 24 hours to return the documents to Tulsi Gabbard’s office or else I will make a motion to issue a subpoena. These documents have been requested by Congress.”

Meanwhile, Luna's deleted post about the press conference drew attention from many online.

Jordan Crowder, who had shared Luna's now-deleted post about the press conference, wrote on X “Congresswoman Anna Luna had a pretty aggressive tweet aimed at the CIA…then she deleted it.

I applaud her tenacity. But the CIA don’t play…As congress dives into these darker subjects (UFO, ARV, MK Ultra, etc) they’re gonna hit a wall…That wall is the CIA.

On the other side of that wall is the truth…But it’s a VERY strong wall,” hinting at the intelligence agency's apparent opacity.

Others too questioned the deleted post. “And the emergency press conference that Rep. Luna was suppose to hold is no longer happening and the post got deleted. Why the sudden change?,” one wrote. Another added “Something is going on.”

Luna herself provided a clarification of what went down with the CIA in Gabbard's office. Posting from her personal account, the Republican wrote “Clarification: Took documents that ODNI has jurisdiction over. Also, this did not happen today & was not a “raid” however it did take place and we are just being made aware of it based on reporting etc.”
