A federal jury in the Southern District of Florida convicted the founder and owner of HealthSplash on Wednesday for his involvement in an over $1 billion Medicare fraud conspiracy.
Brett Blackman, 42, and his co-conspirators allegedly “aggressively targeted hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries to get them to accept medically unnecessary orthotic braces and other items,” according to a Department of Justice (DOJ) news release. Blackman and his co-conspirators then arranged for purported telemedicine doctors to sign bogus prescription orders for these items, so that their co-conspirators could bill Medicare for them.
In total, Blackman and his co-conspirators billed Medicare and other federal health care benefit programs over $1 billion for this unnecessary equipment, according to the DOJ.
“The Department of Justice crushed one of the most egregious fraud schemes in Florida history,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a Thursday statement. “This illegitimate operation stole more than $1 billion from American taxpayers — including hundreds of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries. This was cold, calculated, industrial-scale theft targeting the sick and elderly, coercing vulnerable people into buying unnecessary medical equipment.”
“We will not rest until every fraudster ripping off the American people is held accountable,” Blanche continued.

A Michigan woman was arrested and then rushed to the hospital after she stole a bottle of wine and hid it inside a “body cavity,” cops said.
The 48-year-old was allegedly caught by shopkeepers drinking a bottle of alcohol in a Traverse City liquor store without paying for it, and returned the next day to nab a bottle of Chardonnay.

Good grief. I cannot believe people actually believed this story as presented. Yes, the CIA is sketchy; however, no, the CIA did not raid the office of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, taking boxes of JFK and MK Ultra files.

Was there friction and opposition within the CIA to DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s office, yes.However, John Ratcliffe and Tulsi Gabbard have been working together for almost a year to address the Machiavellian networkthat operates in the shadows, and they have had remarkable success.
It’s highly likely former CIA embeds were doing some unauthorized surveillance of DNI Gabbard as she came into office. Obviously, she was a threat to their position and influence.However, through a methodical approach at addressing the politically motivated embeds within the entire Intelligence Community, including the CIA, DNI Gabbard has been successful in eliminating most of the corrupt actors.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe would never authorize or allow anything like what was being framed in that outlandish story. It simply did not happen.
