These devices require drivers to blow into them to check their breath alcohol level before starting their cars.

Researchers with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) altered their own study on COVID-19 vaccine adverse events to downplay deaths linked to the shots, according to documents obtained by Children’s Health Defense (CHD).
CHD sued the CDC in 2023 to obtain the documents after the agency failed to respond to CHD’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
The 100-page document tranche included an earlier draft of the CDC study that differed significantly from the version the authors published in June 2022 in The Lancet Infectious Diseases.
Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D., CHD senior research scientist, who analyzed the FOIA documents, said the CDC “severely edited” the study “to promote safety and to de-emphasize death.”
The first four words of the draft’s title were “Reactogenicity and Adverse Events.” However, the published version’s title began with “Safety of mRNA vaccines.”
Reactogenicity refers to the side effects or adverse events someone experiences after taking a vaccine or medication.
The study authors, members of the CDC’s COVID-19 Response Team, analyzed reports of adverse events following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination during the first 6 months of the vaccine rollout in the U.S.
The researchers pulled the reports from two federal vaccine safety monitoring systems — the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and V-safe.
Although there were 4,496 deaths reported to VAERS during that time frame, the study authors stripped details about the deaths from the article’s abstract.
The lead study author, Dr. Hannah Rosenblum, wrote in a comment on the draft, “Note all death results/interpretation has been removed from abstract.”
That’s a big deal, Jablonowski said — because the abstract, which appears at the top of a study and summarizes it, is typically read much more than the full body of an article.
The published version also omitted a figure that revealed key statistics about deaths reported following COVID-19 vaccination to VAERS. The figure depicted the percentage breakdown for the top 10 leading causes of death — including diseases of the heart, COVID-19 disease and “unknown/unclear” — as listed on death certificates or autopsy results.

🚨 BREAKING: Eric Coomer Deposition Unsealed - Contradictions on Election System Access Exposed
A Pennsylvania attorney is now urging President Trump to launch a federal investigation into alleged VPN access tied to the 2020 election.
Thomas Carroll sent a letter calling on the Pentagon, DHS, and ODNI to examine potential vendor and foreign interference involving Dominion Voting Systems-citingnewly unsealed testimony from a January 2026 deposition of former Dominion employee Eric Coomer.
Here’s what’s raising concerns:
* Coomer testified that development teams in Serbia, Canada, and the U.S. had access to code tied to election systems
*He also acknowledged using a VPN for remote desktop access to election management systems during the 2020 primaries, while claiming no data was exchanged
But the key issue - this appears to directly contradict his 2022 grand jury testimony, where he stated:
“I don’t have the access… Dominion just builds the hardware and provides the software.”
Now, in the 2026 deposition, Coomer admits:
“Yes, I have accessed servers… with approval.”
Patrick Byrne, whose legal team pushed to unseal the transcript, says this changes everything:
“That flatly contradicts what he said in 2022… Now he’s acknowledging they do have connection-they can go on these machines.”
Byrne also pointed to what he called a major admission:
“They have VPN access… that means they can get on and do anything… and there are ways to do it with little to no trace.”
With the transcript now part of the official court record (and already being cited in calls for a federal investigation) this could become a turning point for multiple legal challenges brought since the 2020 election involving voting machine companies.
As Byrne put it:
“Their house of cards falls with that admission.”

Spring Equinox at Teide Observatory
The defining astronomical moment of the equinox today is at 14:46 UTC (March 20). That's when the Sun crosses the celestial equator moving north in its yearly journey through planet Earth's sky, marking the beginning of spring for our fair planet in the northern hemisphere and fall in the southern hemisphere. Then, day and night are nearly equal around the globe. In fact, both day and nighttime exposures from a spring equinox at the Observatorio del Teide in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, are used in this composited skyscape. Over 1,000 images were taken with a fisheye lens and merged in the ambitious equinox project. The apparent motion of the Sun setting along the celestial equator on the equinox date follows the bright linear, diagonal track from the sequence of daytime exposures taken over 6 hours. After sunset, nighttime exposures recorded startrails, with the celestial equator as a linear track and concentric arcs circling the north celestial pole near Polaris at upper right and the south celestial pole beyond the lower left edge (and below the Teide horizon). The foreground includes the distant Teide volcano peak and the observatory's pyramid-shaped solar laboratory building.

With all the work that goes into breaking down a vehicle and setting it back up to protect against salt water damage why not create a vacuum seal around the vehicle instead? Sort of like a lego system of panels that connect and have the proper gaskets to seal the environment with a hatch for a small climate control system or hose from a larger system. If properly tested could save from all types of corrosion, and safeguard electronics at the same time. It should be something that attaches to the floor with proper seals. In addition, instead of keeping fuel at 25%, is it possible to just vacuum the fuel out, and then use something to vacuum the vapors out, before putting it into a cryogen? If these things can be done, then setup wpuld go faster, but break down and combat ready, would be about 2 minutes per vehicle, then refueling, and that fueling only has to be a small percent until offloaded.

As the comet prepares for its perilous perihelion passage, we look at what to expect.
We're all wondering the same thing. How bright will Comet C/2026 A1 MAPS get?
Will it become a splendid sight like some of its sungrazing siblings of the past or will it fracture and fade?
With perihelion less than three weeks away, a definitive answer is lacking, but we can still speculate. First, let's examine its recent behavior.
Between March 6th and March 9th, C/2026 A1 quickly brightened by almost 1.5 magnitudes, from 12 to 10.5.
At the same time, its coma (the comet's gaseous envelope) expanded 50% from 6′ to 9′, and its core became more compact. Exciting news!
Then from March 11–17, in a seeming setback, the comet's brightness plateaued and its well-condensed coma shrank back to 6′.
Regardless, these swift changes made it possible to finally catch a brief glimpse of this fickle fuzzy through my telescope. Comet MAPS has been notoriously difficult to spot due to its very low altitude (less than 10°) in the western sky at the end of evening twilight.
I pinned it down in the trees just a few degrees above the horizon on March 13th. Through my 15-inch Dobsonian reflector, I saw a moderately condensed coma that spanned about 4′ with an overall magnitude of 10.0.

Gazing into the Crystal Ball
French optical engineer and amateur photographer Nicolas Lefaudeux has kept abreast of the comet's evolution and created tail simulations based on four possible scenarios:
- Pre-perihelion breakup — Comet C/2026 A1's nucleus crumbles, destroyed by intense solar heating and gravitational tides. Comet ISON experienced a similar fate during its 2013 apparition. In this scenario, only a faint remnant of C/2026 A1 remains. Rating: A fizzler.
- "Headless" comet (post-perihelion breakup) — The comet's nucleus survives perihelion but breaks apart shortly after, producing a ghostly head with a bright tail perhaps as long as 15°. Rating: Great object for amateur astronomers, much less so for the public.
- Medium-sized Kreutz comet — Comet survives perihelion intact to become a bright object somewhere between Comet Lovejoy (C/2011 W3), which reached peak brightness between magnitude –3 and –4, and Comet Ikeya-Seki (C/1965 S1) at magnitude –10. Rating: Primarily an object for amateur observers but gathering some public attention.
- Ikeya-Seki-sized Kreutz comet — C/2026 A1 would emerge from the solar glare on April 7th at magnitude –10 with a 10° tail that would grow to 30° by mid-month. Rating: Knock your socks off.
Of course, always take comet forecasts with a grain of sodium chloride. Lefaudeux's simulations are based on reasonable expectations tied to current observational trends.
"Nothing will be certain until a few days after perihelion, as it is the dust released between ~6 hours and 3–4 days after perihelion that mostly determines the tail’s length and brightness," said Lefaudeux.
Assuming that C/2026 A1 survives, we would expect to see a narrow but bright tail because Earth will be in line with the comet's orbital plane. We'll see MAPS "edge-on," similar to viewing Saturn's rings at the planet's equinoxes.
In the just-published paper, Preliminary Nucleus Size Estimate for Kreutz Sungrazer C/2026 A1 (MAPS), Qicheng Zhang and his team used the James Webb Space Telescope to nail down the size of the nucleus to approximately 0.4 kilometer, or ¼ mile — similar to Comet Lovejoy's.
"That suggests C/2026 A1 could still survive perihelion," writes Zhang. Lovejoy pulled through and briefly became a bright, fetching object with a long tail.
But given MAPS's high level of outgassing (ice vaporization due to solar heating), Zhang offers a second possibility.
Thruster-like torques from comet jets could literally spin the nucleus apart "before it even enters the fields of coronagraphs." Then it would become another ISON.
Fortunately, we'll be able to watch C/2026 A1 make a hairpin turn around the Sun in SOHO's wide-field LASCO C3 and narrow-field LASCO C2 coronagraphs.
It will enter the former's field of view from the lower left early on April 2nd and pass through perihelion some 160,000 km (100,000 miles) above the Sun's farside surface on April 4th at 9:13 a.m. EDT.
The comet swiftly swings around to the solar nearside and departs the C2 field around 1 a.m. EDT April 6th.
Amateur astronomer and comet discoverer Michael Jäger, whose superb images have graced the pages of Sky & Telescope for decades, is curious why MAPS is producing so little dust. Dust adds pizzazz to comets because it's a good reflector of sunlight.
"Is the nucleus so dust-free from its last passage near the Sun that it has developed a hard crust?" he asks. "Or is it a small, gas-rich comet that’s on its last legs?"
He hopes his first assumption is correct, in which case "we'll have a show." There's only one way to know for sure. You guessed it — keep your eyes on the comet!

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The hunt for meteorites from Tuesday’s exploding asteroid over Cleveland is just beginning, but already Mike Hankey of the American Meteor Society is reporting that several have been found.
One in particular, discovered by fellow meteorite hunter Roberto Vargas of Connecticut, is not like the typical specimens. It has tiny spikes called “flow lines” protruding from one end that would have formed when the crust of the streaking space rock melted under astronomical heat.
“When you see these flow lines that’s just like a slam dunk,” said Hankey, who drove up from Baltimore, Maryland, Tuesday night to be on hand.
The most common meteorites are called chondrites and have iron, nickel and spherical grains of other metals, Hankey said, but those that are being found south of Cleveland are achondrites, which means they lack those same minerals.
Hankey said he expects a flood of meteorite hunters to converge on the area this weekend. The base of activity appears to be around Sharon Center.
NASA mapped the likely “strewn field” — where fragments may have landed — from roughly northern Medina County stretching south-southwest toward Rittman and parts of Wayne County.
“The game is to just walk around a lot in places you can see the ground,” Hankey said, adding that a metal detector may not be of much help because of the contents of the meteorites.
He recommends looking for black objects and then filtering out those that are bits of asphalt or perhaps slag, a steel-making residue that gets mixed in with construction material. A black rock with bubbles or holes is likely slag.
He said Thursday afternoon that there are several out-of-town hunters in the area from places such as Connecticut, Arizona, Michigan and Washington.

The U.S. Treasury Department has said Cuba won’t be allowed to take delivery of Russian crude, even as the fuel-starved island appears poised to receive two tankers carrying oil and gas.
In a general license published Thursday, theTreasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added Cuba to a list of countries that would be blocked from transactions involving the sale, delivery or offloading of crude or petroleum products that originate from Russia.
The U.S. had temporarily authorized the purchase of Russian oil stranded at sea last week, as part of an effort to stabilize energy markets during the U.S. and Israeli-led war on Iran. The short-term measure suspended sanctions that were first imposed on Moscow following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The update comes as maritime intelligence providers have been tracking two tankers carrying Russian oil and gas heading toward Cuba.
Beset by blackouts and a worsening economic crisis under a U.S. oil blockade, the communist-run Caribbean island is currently facing its biggest test since the collapse of the Soviet Union. U.S. President Donald Trumpsaid earlier in the week that he thinks he’ll have the “honor” of taking Havana in some form.
Russia, which has been allied to Cuba for decades, has sharply criticized the Trump administration’s fuel blockadeand pledged to provide the country with “necessary support, including financial aid.”
The tanker Sea Horse is one of the vessels making its way to Cuba, according to maritime intelligence firm Windward. The Hong Kong-flagged ship is estimated to be carrying around 190,000 barrels of Russian gasoil and tracking suggests it could be set to deliver its cargo in the coming days.
The tanker has been engaged in deceptive shipping practices, an analysis published Wednesday by Windward found, including switching off its location transponders (or AIS “spoofing”) during oil transfer, and it lacks Western insurance, which Windward says indicates potential sanctions circumvention.
A second Russian-flagged oil tanker, the sanctioned Anatoly Kolodkin, is also thought to be on its way to Cuba carrying 730,000 barrels of crude oil, maritime analytics firm Kpler said Wednesday, according to AFP. CNBC has contacted Kpler and is awaiting a response.
The shipments represent an act of defiance to the U.S., given that Washington has threatened to impose tariffs on any country that supplies it with oil. The Kremlin has previously shrugged off Trump’s tariff threats, pointing out that Washington and Moscow “don’t have much trade right now.”
The Russian patrol vessel Neustrahimiy arrives at Havana harbor on July 27, 2024, as part of a fleet composed of the training ship Smolniy and the offshore oil tanker Yelnya. The Russian fleet will remain on the island from July 27-30.
Cuba had been heavily dependent on oil from Venezuela, but it has effectively been cut off since early January when the U.S. launched an extraordinary military operation to depose Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro.
The Trump administration has called Cuba’s government “an unusual and extraordinary threat” and suggested the U.S. could turn its sights to Cuba after the Iran war.
Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday lashed out at the “almost daily” threats from the U.S. and pledged to meet the Trump administration’s move to choke off the island’s fuel supplies with “unyielding resistance.”

British government borrowing costs surged to their highest since the 2008 financial crisis on Friday, with the benchmark 10-year rate crossing 5% as investors scrambled to price in rising inflation risks and a growing probability of interest rate hikes later this year.
U.K. government bonds – known as gilts – have undergone a sharp repricing amid the escalation of the Iran war. Yields on the benchmark 10-year gilt have jumped around 68 basis points in the 15 trading days since the conflict began, while the yield on the 2-year gilt has added about 97 basis points.
Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
On Friday, the yield on the U.K.’s 10-year government bonds
surged around 15 basis points higher to 5.00%, its highest level since the 2008 financial crisis.
Meanwhile, yields on 2-year gilts
jumped 19 basis points to around 4.602%, marking their highest level in more than a year.
Britain’s bond market has been particularly susceptible to fears of resurgent inflation as the U.S.-Iran war drags on, in part because of its reliance on imported energy. The war, and the subsequent blockade in the Strait of Hormuz – a critical oil shipping route – has led to a surge in oil and gas prices.

trading well above the crucial 5% threshold==. The yields on those bonds jumped by around 9 and 7 basis points, respectively, on Friday.
Nigel Green, CEO of financial advisory deVere Group, told CNBCmarkets were rapidly unwinding expectations of rate cuts from the Bank of England.
On Thursday, the central bank’s Monetary Policy Committee said it had voted “unanimously” keep its benchmark interest rate on hold, saying inflation would be higher in the near term “as a result of the new shock to the economy.”
Before the war began, the BOE had been expected to cut its key interest rate. Now, markets are pricing in a near 0% chance of a rate cut from the bank this year, with the vast majority of traders seeing a rate hike next month, LSEG data shows. Markets are also overwhelmingly pricing in a key rate of at least 4.25% by the end of the year, which would suggest a minimum of two rate hikes.
“The trigger is energy, as oil and gas shocks are feeding directly into inflation expectations, and gilts are reacting exactly as you would expect in this scenario,” deVere’s Green told CNBC via email.“This isn’t a disorderly sell-off — it’s an understandable repricing of risk.”
There was “also a political layer” to movements seen in gilt markets, according to Green.
“Finance minister Rachel Reeves has built her fiscal framework around stability and credibility, but higher yields quickly translate into higher borrowing costs,” he said. “This, of course, narrows her room for maneuver at precisely the moment pressure is building for additional support on energy and households.”
The bond market has largely been supportive of Reeves’ commitment to her so-called “fiscal rules” during her tenure as finance minister, with speculation that she may be fired from the job last year triggering a gilts sell-off.
Adding to selling pressure on Friday, official figures showed theUK government borrowed a higher-than-expected £14.3 billion ($1.74 billion) in February.
Reeves has committed to bringing day-to-day government spending to a level where it can be funded by tax revenues rather than borrowing, with her rules also saying that public debt must be falling as a share of economic output by 2029-30.
“From an investment perspective, higher yields are starting to restore value in parts of the curve,” Green added. “But volatility will remain elevated while energy markets dictate the inflation outlook.”
George Godber, Fund Manager, Polar Capital U.K. Value Opportunities Fund, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” on Thursday that his team was avoiding any knee-jerk reactions to the news flow around the conflict.

“The lying that goes on in these departments,” he said during an appearance on One America News this week. “NASA saying, ‘We don’t have any of this’ or ‘We haven’t studied any of this.’
“I have been in meetings with them, or they’ve told me they studied it and that they have stuff that is classified that they can’t share with the public.”
When asked why there aren’t more whistleblowers willing to come forward with what they know about UFOs, Tim Burchett responded that he thinks it is because “they’re afraid someone will disappear them.”
“I think being murdered is what they’re afraid of,” he said. “I think some of them truly are because of things they’ve seen.”
When contacted by DailyMail.com to comment on Burchett’s statements about NASA hiding information about UFOs, the space agency replied with a link to an X post from its press secretary, Bethany Stevens.
It reads: “We continue to make all NASA data publicly available and welcome public participation using our data.
As the NASA Administrator has said, there are certainly things he’s come across in the job that he can’t explain… but they relate more to unnecessarily costly programs than they do to extraterrestrial life.”
Previous claims and current coincidences
Congressman Burchett’s claims come in the same week that the United States government mysteriously purchased two new domain names: alien.gov and aliens.gov.
His statements also come shortly after Donald Trump announced plans to declassify federal information on unexplained aerial phenomena (UAPs, or what the government now calls UFOs) and alien life.
They also coincide with the mysterious disappearance of retired U.S. Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland.
Burchett is no stranger to making outlandish UFO claims, however. In 2023, he accused the government of not being honest with the public about UFOs and aliens.
He has also claimed the United States government has alien tech in its possession that it is currently reverse-engineering which could “turn us into a charcoal briquette.”
In 2025, the Congressman claimed that the United States government has knowledge about underwater alien bases. As a part of his claims, Burchett said there are “entities” located at five or six deep-water sites on Earth.
