SpaceX is targeting Tuesday, July 1 for a Falcon 9 launch of the Eumetsat MTG-S1 mission to geosynchronous transfer orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Ukrainian drone strike kills workers at Russian factory – governor

A Ukrainian drone strike has caused fatalities and serious injuries at an industrial plant in the city of Izhevsk, located about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) east of Moscow, the regional governor said Tuesday.

The head of the Udmurt Republic, Aleksandr Brechalov, confirmed that the incident took place overnight but did not identify the site that was hit.

The attack ignited a fire at the facility, Brechalov said on social media, adding that firefighters were working to contain the blaze.

Later in the day, he reported three deaths and said 35 victims were in hospital, ten of whom are in serious condition.

Kiev has continued its campaign of long-range strikes on Russian territory, launching nightly drone attacks. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that it intercepted 60 kamikaze drones overnight.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved hundreds of drugs without proof that they work—and in some cases, despite evidence that they cause harm.

That’s the finding of a blistering two-year investigation by medical journalists Jeanne Lenzer and Shannon Brownlee, published by The Lever.

Reviewing more than 400 drug approvals between 2013 and 2022, the authors found the agency repeatedly ignored its own scientific standards.

One expert put it bluntly—the FDA’s threshold for evidence “can’t go any lower because it’s already in the dirt.”

A System Built on Weak Evidence

The findings were damning—73% of drugs approved by the FDA during the study period failed to meet all four basic criteria for demonstrating “substantial evidence” of effectiveness.

Those four criteria—presence of a control group, replication in two well-conducted trials, blinding of participants and investigators, and the use of clinical endpoints like symptom relief or extended survival—are supposed to be the bedrock of drug evaluation.

Yet only 28% of drugs met all four criteria—40 drugs met none.

These aren’t obscure technicalities—they are the most basic safeguards to protect patients from ineffective or dangerous treatments.

But under political and industry pressure, the FDA has increasingly abandoned them in favour of speed and so-called “regulatory flexibility.”

Russian forces discover cache of Ukrainian chemical drone munitions – FSB

Russian troops have discovered a makeshift chemical lab and vials containing banned toxins at a former Ukrainian hideout in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Tuesday.

The cache, found near the village of Ilyinka during an advance by Russian forces, marks the second such discovery this year, the agency said.

In footage released by the FSB, personnel in chemical protection gear are seen handling the vials, which reportedly contain chloropicrin – a choking agent prohibited under the Chemical Weapons Convention.

According to the agency, the substances were packaged with plastic explosives and rigged into improvised munitions designed to be dropped from drones.

“This year we have discovered two caches with munitions intended for drone strikes on Russian positions. These munitions were a mix of chloropicrin and plastic explosives, to maximize the area of effect,” an FSB officer stated.

The official further claimed that the use of prohibited warfare methods by Ukrainian forces has become “commonplace,” recalling prior discoveries of a lab for producing hydrogen cyanide in May 2024 and a chloropicrin stockpile uncovered last October.

“Each case of preparation and use of chemical weapons by Ukraine is documented by the relevant authorities to ensure that none of the perpetrators escape responsibility,” the official added.

The FSB has opened a criminal investigation into the development and trafficking of weapons of mass destruction.

Moscow’s deputy minister of industry and trade, Kirill Lysogorsky, also condemned the findings, accusing Kiev of deliberately targeting both military personnel and civilians in violation of international law.

“The Ukrainian regime systematically prepares and deploys chemical agents – not only against Russian forces and officials but also against peaceful residents in affected territories,” Lysogorsky said, accusing Kiev of resorting to “terrorism disguised as warfare.”

Lysogorsky stated that evidence gathered from the site would be submitted to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and presented during the upcoming 109th session of its Executive Council on July 8.

“To date, Russia has filed around 40 diplomatic notes regarding Ukraine’s use of toxic chemicals,” he said, noting the lack of significant international response.

Moscow has repeatedly accused Kiev’s forces of using illegal munitions on the battlefield.

Before his death last year, the former head of Russia’s Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, provided regular press briefings on the issue and repeatedly spoke about the Pentagon’s alleged funding of biological laboratories in Ukraine.

The UK sanctioned Kirillov after he accused Kiev of preparing a false-flag chemical weapons attack aimed at framing Russia and undermining its position at the OPCW.

In December, Kirillov was murdered outside his apartment in Moscow in a bomb blast that Russian authorities linked to Kiev’s special services.

‘Next war with Israel will be final’: High-ranking Iranian official to RT

An anonymous high-ranking Iranian source told RT on Monday that Tehran is prepared to make any future war with Israel its “last,” warning that Iran retains advanced missiles capable of overwhelming Israeli defenses.

The source, described as “informed,” said Tehran had identified vulnerabilities in Israel’s security during the most recent 12-day conflict, which ended with a US-brokered ceasefire.

“Iran will make the next war with Israel its last war,” the source claimed, adding that the Islamic Republic could launch hundreds of missiles daily in the event of another conflict.

The source added that Tehran had “found the [Israeli] regime’s weak point.”

According to the source, Iranian authorities have “unprecedented social support” from the population at home, as well as Iranians living abroad, to use a “historic opportunity to permanently neutralize the Israeli regime’s threat.”

They insisted that while the Islamic Republic’s leadership is well aware that the US would likely come to Israel’s rescue should it once again engage Iran militarily, Tehran “will overcome this challenge.”

The comments come after the latest round of hostilities between Iran and Israel earlier this month, when the Israeli military targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites, citing concerns that Tehran was nearing a nuclear weapons capability.

The Israeli strikes reportedly killed several senior commanders and scientists, as well as hundreds of civilians, according to Iranian accounts.

In response, Iran launched barrages of drones and missiles at Israeli targets and at the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The United States then carried out strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including enrichment sites at Natanz and Fordow.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei later claimed that Iran’s retaliatory strikes had “practically crushed” Israel’s military capacity, but warned that US intervention prevented a complete Iranian victory.

The ceasefire, negotiated by Washington, has so far held. However, tensions remain high, with US President Donald Trump warning of renewed strikes if Iran continues to pursue nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran denies.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also suggested that further attacks on Iranian facilities are possible.

Russian drones detonate Ukrainian roadside bombs – MOD

Weaponized drones are now a fixture on the battlefields of the Ukraine conflict. However, they are also being employed to clear explosives, as shown by a new video released by the Russian Defense Ministry.

A remotely-operated quadcopter drone can carry and drop a small explosive – often a standard mortar round – turning it into a short-range, improvised bomber.

In addition to targeting enemy troops and dugouts, such drones can be used to detonate mines or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from a safe distance.

Footage published on Sunday by the Russian military shows soldiers with an Airborne Troops engineering unit using drones to deploy charges on suspected roadside bombs on the front line in Zaporozhye Region.

Several examples appeared in the video, all recorded during active combat missions.

In a separate development last month, Russian defense conglomerate Rostec introduced a more controlled method for disarming explosives remotely.

But they lied.

They told you that Israel was fighting a “war.” They lied. What Israel is doing in Gaza isn’t a “war.” It’s a genocide.

They told you the carnage was only intended to affect the Middle East. They lied. They didn’t tell you that you could be among the casualties. That’s right: while Israel is piling dead bodies all over Gaza (not to mention Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Iran), its leaders are planning to make American corpses, too, after they’ve hoodwinked Uncle Sam into waging their next Mideast genocide for them.

They told you not to worry: that it’s all under control. Again, they lied. They didn’t tell you that they have no idea how this will end – if it will ever end.

And now, as Washington, obeying the ever-present Israel lobby, has begun adding its own brand of “shock and awe” to yet another criminal assault in the Mideast whose direction it cannot control, they’re lying to you yet again.

So if you don’t want Iran to be the graveyard of human civilization, it’s time to face some uncomfortable facts about Israel’s war against all of us. It’s time to understand, without any evasions or equivocations, the sort of nightmare Israel is planning for the world.

Here are a few of the most crucial points.

1. This Is about Israeli Hegemony – with American Support

Israel is not “under attack.” Israel never faces a military threat unless it deliberately creates one – as it is doing now, in the hope of stoking a regional conflagration.

Don’t take my word for that, by the way. One of Israel’s most prominent military historians, Ze’ev Maoz, demonstrated in a magisterial study some years ago that all of Israel’s wars – with the possible exception of its “war of independence” in 1948 – were “wars of choice,” not of necessity. Israel attacked its neighbors because it wanted to, not because they endangered it.

And those, at least, were attacks on states. Today Israel only wages massacres (as in Gaza). So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that its terror campaign against Iran has demonstrated the usual priorities: apart from early strikes intended to block the prey from fighting back, Israel has largely targeted residential buildings – where it has killed children along with hundreds of adult civilians – and Iran’s much-needed civilian infrastructure.

And yes, folks, Iran’s nuclear program is a part of that civilian infrastructure. Iran has never built a single nuclear warhead, and repeated inspections of its nuclear facilities have shown again and again that it has had no intention of building an atomic weapon for at least some twenty years.

If Israel’s criminal assault has yielded any benefit, it’s the proof that Israel has been lying for decades about Iran “readying for war.” Israel has been readying an assault, all right – but Iran’s obvious vulnerability to the attack proved just how unprepared it was for a military encounter.

So what is Israel’s real goal? Anyone who follows the ravings of its officials knows by now that Israel is no longer content to murder helpless West Bank civilians or to torture more Palestinians in its dungeons. Even the Gaza genocide is only the first step toward a new sort of future.

Russian ‘Jesus’ sentenced to 12 years

Self-styled prophet and cult leader Sergey Torop, also known as Vissarion, has been jailed for harming followers’ health and finances

A Russian court has sentenced Sergey Torop, a former traffic policeman who claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, to 12 years in a maximum-security prison.

Torop was convicted of causing psychological and physical harm to his followers and financially exploiting them.

Torop, who goes by the name Vissarion, founded the Church of the Last Testament in 1991 in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region.

The sect attracted thousands of followers with its strict lifestyle that bans meat, alcohol, smoking, swearing, and the use of money. Its members live as vegetarian subsistence farmers in remote Siberian settlements.

The Novosibirsk court also sentenced Torop’s aides, Vladimir Vedernikov and Vadim Redkin, to 12 and 11 years, respectively.

All three denied any wrongdoing during the trial, and were ordered to pay 40 million rubles (around $511,500) in moral damages.

The charges stem from activities between 1991 and 2020, during which investigators found that 16 individuals suffered moral harm, six sustained severe injuries, and one saw his health deteriorate due to the sect’s practices.

The movement came under legal scrutiny on two separate occasions in 2020.

In February of that year, members of the church were interrogated as part of an investigation into corruption and fraud at the Istoki School, which is attended by the children of Vissarion’s followers.

Then in August, a criminal case was opened after representatives of the self-styled prophet prevented journalists from filming inside the community.

In September, 2020 Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) raided and arrested Torop and several of his associates, following allegations of psychological pressure and financial exploitation within the sect.

During the raid, police found a stash of jewelry, weapons, adult toys, and money, including rubles, dollars and euros.

Officially registered in 1995 as a religious organization, the Church of the Last Testament was later dissolved following legal actions against its leaders.

The sect gained international attention in 2012 when Vice News released a YouTube documentary titled Siberian Cult Leader Thinks He’s Jesus.
