'We are preparing to make history': NASA's Parker Solar Probe gears up for epic sun flyby on Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, NASA's Parker Solar Probe will swoop within 3.8 million miles (6.1 million kilometers) of the sun's surface at a whopping 430,000 mph (690,000 kph), breaking its own records for speed and closest approach to our star.

The spacecraft, roughly the size of a small car, completed its final swing past Venus last month, setting it on a path to come closer to the sun than any human-made object ever has before.

On Dec. 24, the Parker Solar Probe is expected to cut through plumes of plasma that are still rooted to the sun and even fly through a patch of a solar eruption, akin to a surfer diving under a crashing wave.

In October, the sun reached its most turbulent phase in its 11-year cycle, meaning the spacecraft will soon get to study powerful solar flares occurring on top of each other, providing scientists with up-close data about the chaotic workings of our star.

"We are preparing to make history," Nour Rawafi, who is the project scientist for the mission, told reporters at the Annual Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) on Tuesday (Dec. 10).

"Parker Solar Probe is opening our eyes to a new reality about our star," he said, adding the data sent home by the probe "is going to take us decades to sort through."

The probe's Christmas Eve feat is expected to occur at 6:40 a.m. EDT (1140 GMT), but mission control will be out of contact with the spacecraft at this time.

Shortly before and after the closest approach — on Dec. 21 and Dec. 27 — scientists will look for a beacon tone from the probe that will confirm its health.

If all goes to plan, the first images following the encounter may come as soon as the New Year kicks in, with science data following in the weeks after, said Rawafi.

Since its launch in 2018, the probe has helped decode longstanding mysteries about our star, chief among them being how its tenuous outer atmosphere, the corona, gets hundreds of times hotter the farther it stretches from the sun's surface.

In 2022, a chance alignment of the probe with Europe's Solar Orbiter spacecraft provided scientists the rare opportunity to study the same patch of solar wind, revealing how energy-packed plasma waves accelerate the solar wind to its unexpectedly high speeds.

Among its other discoveries, the Parker Solar Probe has also provided the first compelling evidence for the long-theorized but elusive dust-free zone around the sun, which is created by sunlight heating cosmic dust to high temperatures and turning it into gas.

A key reason for the spacecraft's good health for six long years and counting is the mission team's remarkable engineering, including a custom heat shield and an autonomous system that protects the probe from the sun's wrath even while pointing it toward our star to allow the coronal material to touch the spacecraft.

During its upcoming closest approach to the sun, the front of the heat shield is expected to reach a sizzling 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit (982 degrees Celsius).

That's pretty hot, but the mission team is confident the spacecraft and its instruments can handle temperatures up to 2,500 degrees F (1,371 degrees C).

"It's really great to see all the science that is enabled by the fact that we overprepared," said Elizabeth Congdon, who is the lead engineer for the probe's thermal protection system.

A specially designed white coating will reflect much of it back into space such that the spacecraft itself will witness relatively comfortable room temperatures, she added.

No matter how bad you think Covid policies were, they were intended to be worse.

Consider the vaccine passports alone. Six cities were locked down to include only the vaccinated in public indoor places. They were New York City, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and Seattle. The plan was to enforce this with a vaccine passport. It broke. Once the news leaked that the shot didn’t stop infection or transmission, the planners lost public support and the scheme collapsed.

It was undoubtedly planned to be permanent and nationwide if not worldwide. Instead, the scheme had to be dialed back.

Features of the CDC’s edicts did incredible damage. It imposed the rent moratorium. It decreed the ridiculous “six feet of distance” and mask mandates. It forced Plexiglas as the interface for commercial transactions. It implied that mail-in balloting must be the norm, which probably flipped the election. It delayed the reopening as long as possible. It was sadistic.

Even with all that, worse was planned. On July 26, 2020, with the George Floyd riots having finally settled down, the CDC issued a plan for establishing nationwide quarantine camps. People were to be isolated, given only food and some cleaning supplies. They would be banned from participating in any religious services. The plan included contingencies for preventing suicide. There were no provisions made for any legal appeals or even the right to legal counsel.

My name is Dr. Jeyanthi Kunadhasan, and I am an anesthetist and perioperative physician in Australia. I am also a member of the DailyClout team of volunteers who are investigating the data, released on the Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency website[1], which formed the basis of the Food and Drug Administration’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of Pfizer-BioNTech’s BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. Additionally, I am Treasurer of the Australian Medical Professionals Society.[2]

I co-wrote the WarRoom/DailyClout Pfizer Documents Analysis reports 42[3] and 76[4], available on dailyclout.io. I am also a coauthor of “Forensic Analysis of the 38 Subject deaths in the 6-Month Interim Report of the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 mRNA Vaccine Clinical Trial,”[5] which is the first analysis of the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine original trial data by a group unaffiliated with the clinical trial sponsor.

I note with interest your lawsuit against Pfizer. I would like to draw your attention to an undisclosed participant death from Kansas that occurred the BNT162b2-vaccinated arm of Pfizer’s clinical trial as originally reported in War Room/DailyClout Report 89, ‘Researchers Find Pfizer Delayed Recording Vaccinated Deaths at Critical Juncture of EUA Process. Improper Delays in Reporting Deaths in the Vaccinated Led FDA to Misstate Vaccine’s Effectiveness, Influenced EUA Grant Decision.‘[6]

As you are aware, the findings of the clinical trial C4591001 reportedly supporting the safety and efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine, have been published twice. Polack et al. first published findings on December 10, 2020, one day prior to the FDA’s issuance of EUA, entitled, “Safety and Efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine”[7]. Then, on September 15, 2021, Stephen J. Thomas, MD, et al. published, “Safety and Efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine through 6 Months.”[8] The Polack NEJM publication stated, “All the trial data were available to all the authors, who vouch for its accuracy and completeness and for adherence of the trial to the protocol, which is available with the full text of this article at NEJM.org. An independent data and safety monitoring board reviewed efficacy and unblinded safety data.” (Polack et al., 2020)

The Polack paper disclosed six deaths — two in the BNT162b2 arm, and four in the Placebo arm. In the journal article and the EUA approval documentation[9], the six deaths covered the period of July 27, 2020, through November 14, 2020. This letter will demonstrate that Pfizer-BioNTech possessed records showing that eight deaths, four in the BNT162b2 arm and four in the Placebo arm, should have been disclosed by Pfizer to the FDA. In addition, the two undisclosed deaths presented a cardiac event signal in the clinical trial’s BNT162b2 recipients. One of the undisclosed deaths in the vaccinated arm of the trial occurred in Kansas.

A small, twin-engine aircraft with only the pilot inside crashed near a busy highway in Texas on Wednesday, according to officials.

The incident, under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration, occurred in Victoria − a city about 117 miles from San Antonio.

During a news conference, police said that they discovered the plane and three damaged vehicles when they arrived at the scene.

"We're able to confirm five people are involved, and four have been transported," Deputy Chief Eline Moya told reporters.

The dashcam video obtained by USA TODAY shows the aftermath of the crash, which led to road closures.

Moya said that three people suffered from non-life-threatening injuries. Another victim was taken to an out-of-town hospital for "higher level treatment," she added.

The pilot was also evaluated. Neither the drivers nor the pilot have been publicly identified.

Tony Poynor, who captured the footage on his dash camera, told KPRC that he saw the Piper PA-31 crash and helped the motorists who were impacted.

“I thought the plane was going to hit me. I saw the shadow on the wall of the overpass and knew it was too close,” Poynor told the outlet.

In his first appearance in court for corruption charges, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu laid bare his stark disagreements with former President Barack Obama over Iran and a Palestinian state.

"Obama made it clear to me that U.S. policy was going to take a sharp turn against the ideas I believed in," Netanyahu recounted of his interactions with the U.S. in the early days of the Obama administration.

"He saw Iran not as a threat but as an opportunity and saw a vital need for us to return to the '67 lines and establish a Palestinian state here."

Netanyahu took the stand for about four hours Tuesday morning in Tel Aviv District Court. The trial was moved from Jerusalem for undisclosed security reasons and convened in an underground courtroom, according to Reuters. He recalled his rocky relationship with Obama – how they failed to see eye to eye on an appropriate course of action for Palestinians.

"I had to face great pressure to create a Palestinian state," Netanyahu said. "[Obama] demanded it during the first meeting, he said: 'Not even one brick will you build over the Green Line.' I responded: 'Half of Jerusalem is over the Green Line; for instance, the Gilo neighborhood.' Obama said: 'Gilo too.' He demanded a total construction freeze, massive pressure. I had to deal with this, I had to deflect it, and it was no small matter."

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi has quietly turned to Rome to resolve her two-year-old dispute with the San Francisco archbishop over her receiving Holy Communion.

Pelosi for the first time has revealed that Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone's order that she be banned from receiving Communion now is pending a final resolution at the Vatican. She did not say and it is unclear when she sought Vatican intervention.

"My understanding, as long as Rome has the case, it hasn't been resolved," Pelosi said in an interview with the National Catholic Reporter.

The fight stems from a May 2022 public letter from Cordileone banning then-Speaker Pelosi from receiving holy Communion within his archdiocese because of her work on abortion rights.

The extraordinary action, rarely used against a political leader, did not stop Pelosi from receiving the Eucharist. "I received Communion anyway," Pelosi said in an interview with the National Catholic Reporter on Dec. 6. "That's his problem, not mine."

On Tuesday evening, Dec. 10, Cordileone responded to the first report of Pelosi's Dec. 6 interview in NCR by issuing a 410-word statement inviting her to discuss the matter with him, an invitation he has previously extended publicly.

"This kind of dialogue can dispel misperceptions and melt away hostilities, and build new bonds of friendship," Cordileone said. "I therefore earnestly repeat once again my plea to Speaker Pelosi to allow this kind of dialogue to happen."

A spokesman said that Pelosi had no comment on Cordileone's Dec. 10 statement.

In the interview with NCR to discuss her recent memoir, The Art of Power, Pelosi said she has not raised the Communion issue directly with Pope Francis — though she met with him in June 2022.

Cordileone notified Pelosi in a public letter that stated: "You are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance."

Cordileone invoked an obscure provision of canon law unfamiliar to many everyday Catholics. Canon 915 states: "Those who have been excommunicated or interdicted after the imposition or declaration of the penalty and others obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion."

The former House speaker did not provide precise details on her request for a review and she did not respond to a request to speak with her canon lawyer. Her spokesmen declined to comment on a personal matter.

Former FBI informant “Alexander Smirnov” will plead guilty Thursday for suggesting that Burisma energy company was illicitly paying Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, his crackhead son who had absolutely no background in energy. Hunter was paid $50,000 a month by Burisma for his expertise while smoking an enormous amount of crack cocaine and blowing thousands on hookers.

Smirnov will plead guilty for tax evasion and providing false information to the FBI.

Smirnov was the underlying source of the Biden-Burisma bribery allegations. According to Smirnov, Burisma Holdings founder and Ukrainian oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky told him he paid a total of $10 million in bribes to Hunter and Joe Biden. There are text messages and audio recordings to back up these claims.

Recall that Senator Chuck Grassley last July released the FBI document showing Joe Biden was involved in a $10 million bribery scheme with Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky.

The FD-1023 form alleged then-Vice President Joe Biden FORCED Zlochevsky, a Ukrainian oligarch, to pay himself and his son Hunter Biden a total of $10 million.

According to the document, Biden’s bribery arrangement was described as “poluchili,” which is Russian crime slang for being “forced or coerced to pay.”

Per the FD-1023: According to the FBI’s confidential human source, executives for Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, brought Hunter Biden on the board to “protect us through his dad, from all kinds of problems.” At the time, Burisma was seeking to do business in the United States, but was facing a corruption investigation in Ukraine, led by then-Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. Regarding that investigation’s impact on its ambitions in North America, Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky reportedly said, “Don’t worry Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad.” Zlochevsky reportedly stated that he had to pay $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden, an arrangement he described as ‘poluchili,’ which is Russian crime slang for being “forced or coerced to pay,” according to the document.

Also, according to the document, Zlochevsky claims to have text messages and recordings that show he was FORCED to pay the Bidens to ensure Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired.

“Terrorist Organization” Means Whatever The US Wants It To Mean

The US government is simultaneously (A) preparing to remove from its list of designated terrorist organizations the group which led the charge to oust Bashar al-Assad in Syria and (B) justifying Israel’s land grab in Syria by saying the nation has been taken over by terrorists.

The US podium people have pivoted seamlessly from celebrating the liberation of the Syrian people in the removal of Assad to citing the fact that the nation is now overrun with terrorist factions in defense of Israel’s rapid move to militarily occupy large swathes of Syrian land while hammering Syria with hundreds of airstrikes.

At a Monday press conference, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said these moves by Israel “are temporary to defend its borders” and that Assad’s ouster “potentially creates a vacuum that could have been filled by terrorist organizations that would threaten the state of Israel and would threaten civilians inside Israel.”

“Every country has the right to take action against terrorist organizations,” Miller added.

During a Tuesday press conference Miller further clarified the US position on Israel’s land grab, saying, “What precipitated their move into the buffer zone was the withdrawal of the Syrian armed forces, which, as I said yesterday, creates potentially a vacuum that could be filled by any one of the numerous terrorist organizations that continue to operate inside Syria that have sworn to the destruction of the state of Israel.”

During the same Tuesday press conference Miller also stated that “there is no legal barrier to us speaking to a designated terrorist group” such as HTS, the group which led the run on Damascus whose leader has been an official in both ISIS and al-Qaeda.

And as it happens the US government has now taken a sudden interest in removing HTS from its listing as a designated terrorist organization, with Politico reporting that there is now “a furious debate playing out in Washington” as to whether or not the group should be removed from the list immediately. Somehow I doubt the debate is actually all that “furious”.
