Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defended her manic cameo at a weekend Bronx rally in support of fellow far-left Rep. Jamaal Bowman, saying the R-rated event had been “fun as hell.”

“Fox News is big mad that we’re for the many, not the money,” the “Squad” member wrote on X along with a clip of her on-stage gyrations at St. Mary’s Park in Mott Haven.

During Saturday’s rally, the 34-year-old Ocasio-Cortez darted onto the stage, jumped up and down, then strutted to the tune of the Cardi B song “Enough” in an attempt to fire up her audience.

“Hoes better lower they tone when they spittin’. B—es is washed, soap on the dishes. I apply pressure like boa constrictors,” were among the lyrics that

could be heard in the background.

When Ocasio-Cortez got to the lectern, she began shouting at her audience, clamoring for a cease-fire in Gaza and rallying would-be Bowman supporters to “take the country back” — repeatedly knocking her microphones over in the process.

Almost exactly one month earlier, formerPresident Donald Trump drew between 8,000 and 10,000 to the South Bronx for a campaign rally in Crotona Park, law enforcement sources told The Post at the time.

Saturday’s gathering was meant to rally support for Bowman (D-NY) in his primary challenge from Westchester County Executive George Latimer. When Bowman’s turn came to speak, the 48-year-old made clear that he has no intention of going down quietly.

Grabbing a stool and parading it around onstage, Bowman led chants of “Cease-fire now” and then went on a profanity-laced rant against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

“We are gonna show f—king AIPAC the power of the motherf—king South Bronx,” he bellowed out at one point.

Critics and netizens ribbed the progressive lawmakers over the rambunctious rally, with somelikening Ocasio-Cortez to “The Office” character Dwight Schrute’s infamous unwitting Benito Mussolini impersonation.

Polls show Bowman trailing Latimer by 17 percentage points in the 16th District, which covers much of Westchester County and the far northern Bronx.

On Monday, Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) — who helped found Team Blue, a super PAC meant to help re-elect Democratic incumbents — endorsed Latimer.

Is it because of this expertise that GIP was brought into the partnership? There are other firms with a comparable level of expertise that could have been considered. Why should we collaborate with a company owned by an entity that has such close ties to the Israeli and US military establishments? It is a matter of serious concern because it is airports — not restaurants or supermarkets — that are now being managed by GIP owned by BlackRock. Because it is airport management with all the data at the command of its managers — some of which will be highly sensitive — which is at stake, that the Malaysian authorities should have realized at the very outset that ownership of GIP can never be a mere economic proposition. To put it bluntly, it is a transaction that has profound security ramifications.

What makes BlackRock’s purchase of GIP and ipso facto its status now as partial owner of Malaysian airports, all the more bizarre is the fact that Malaysian Airports Berhad (MAHB) which hitherto managed our airports had no sound financial reason to sell off its shares to a US based fund manager with intimate ties to Israel. It was reported in February 2024 that MAHB recorded “a net profit of RM 543.2 million for the financial year ending December 31, 2023. This is a huge jump from the previous year, when the company made a profit of RM 187.2 million, and also higher than the profit it made in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic paralysed the aviation sector worldwide.”

That there was no financial justification for the sale of MAHB shares is further reinforced by the excellent management performance of MAHB. As its acting CEO Mohamed Rastam Shahrom put it,

“We have worked hard to deliver value to our stakeholders in the past year. I want to tell you guys a HORROR story regarding Social Security SSI Disability Benefits.

I know a 65 year old man who was in an accident and hasn't worked in a longtime because he can't walk and one arm is partially disabled but I always see him trying to get around and participate in life as much as he can and I greatly respect him for his efforts.

The other day he explained to me that he was on SSI Disability and it is really hard to makes ends meet with the Bidenomics price increases but he manages to keep going on only $943 dollars a month for all his expenses.

To me the maximum amount of SSI Disability payments for a disabled elderly man only being $943 a month, makes no sense at all it'sCRUELTYno matter how you slice it.

I decided to give him $300 a month to help him out and also looked into other benefits he might be eligible for every month.

After contacting the 'Social Security office I was told if I give him $300 a month then $300 a month will be deducted from his SSI monthly payment and I said how can he possibly get ahead when he cannot have more than $943 a month and no more than $2,000 in total life savings or he will be kicked off the program.

Social Security workers they don't give two shits about anyone.

Where I live you can't even rent a closet for $943 a month so I'm wondering why are the the politicians in Washington DC doing this to America's elderly that are unfortunately disabled?

All that fucken taxpayer money going to illegal alien insects and non Americans in the Ukraine and all them asshole politicians in Washington DC can't even give America's disabled elderly a couple more hundred dollars a month at least…

Steve Bannon - What a Tangled Web We Weave

A summary of today's developments

Four men were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of aggravated trespass at the prime minister’s constituency home in Yorkshire, police said. The suspects were arrested in the grounds of Rishi Sunak’s home in Kirby Sigston, near Northallerton, at around 12:40pm before being escorted off the property, North Yorkshire Police said. The force said the men included a 52-year-old from London, a 43-year-old from Bolton, a 21-year-old from Manchester, and a 20-year-old from Chichester. They remain in police custody and inquiries are ongoing.

The Labour party said it is suspending one of its candidates, Kevin Craig, because he is being investigated by the Gambling Commission. Craig is the party’s candidate in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich. It is understood that Craig is being investigated for betting against himself. He said: “I am deeply sorry to the many dedicated and loyal local Labour party volunteers who have been supporting my campaign. I will comply fully with the investigation.”

The news broke after a day of other developments in the election betting scandal. This morning, after prevaricating for days, the Conservative party said it was suspending two of its candidates who are being investigated over suspect bets placed on the timing of the election. And this afternoon the Metropolitan police said five more of its officers are being investigated by the commission, also over suspect election date bets. The allegation is that bets were placed by people who had access to inside information about Rishi Sunak opting for July. One of the Tory candidates, Craig Williams, has issued a statement saying that, although he made an error of judgment, he did not commit an offence.

Russell George, a Conservative member of the Senedd, has stepped back from the Welsh shadow cabinet as he faces an investigation by the gambling watchdog over alleged bets on the timing of the General Election. George represents Montgomeryshire in the Welsh parliament – the same area that Craig Williams, the Tory candidate who has had party support withdrawn as he faces similar allegations, represented at Westminster.

Keir Starmer has vowed to make tackling knife crime a “moral mission” at an emotional meeting with victims’ families and the actor Idris Elba.

Former North Dakota State Lawmaker, 80, to plead guilty to traveling to Europe to have sex with minors on taxpayer-funded flights

A former North Dakota Senator is set to plead guilty to a federal charge that he traveled to Europe to have sex with minors on taxpayer-funded flights.

Senator Ray Holmberg, 80, signed a plea agreement last week that was filed on Monday in North Dakota U.S. District Court.

The disgraced Republican senator had traveled to Prague in the Czech Republic with the intent to 'engage in illicit sexual activity with minors' from around June 2011 to November 2016,' InForum previously reported.

Holmberg was also accused of receiving or attempting to receive child porn between the dates of November 2012 and March 2013.

He initially pleaded not guilty in October and was indicted by a grand jury. His trial is set for September. The charges carry a up to a 30-year prison sentence, and a $250,000 fine.

The grandfather of five said he would not seek re-election and resigned in Spring 2022. He cited stress and 'a weakened ability to concentrate on the matters at hand and effectively recall events,' for his resignation. …

Julian Assange's flight has landed on the US-controlled island of Saipan ahead of his plea hearing.

The WikiLeaks founder has arrived on the remote island in the Pacific where his long-running campaign to avoid extradition to the United States will formally end and he will become a free man after 14 years.

The 52-year-old's flight, under the call sign VJT199, arrived on the island at 6:14am local time and within hours he will appear before a judge to plead guilty to one espionage charge against him.

He will then fly to his native Australia to be reunited with his wife, two young sons and other members of the family.

The move follows his dramatic release from Belmarsh Prison in London where he has spent five years, largely in solitary confinement, fighting extradition.

Assange will pay half a million US dollars (£394,000) for a chartered flight from Stansted, accompanied by a WikiLeaks lawyer, a representative of the Australian government and a medic to check on his health.

WikiLeaks has launched a fundraising campaign to pay for the flight.

Assange's wife Stella said her relief at his release was coupled with anger that he had spent so long in prison.

She said she travelled to Australia with the couple's two young sons Gabriel and Max on Sunday when it became clear that Assange would be freed.

He will plead guilty to an Espionage Act charge of obtaining and disclosing information of national importance, with a proposed sentence of time served.

Speaking from Australia, Mrs Assange told PA: 'It is hard to believe that Julian has been in prison for so long. It had become normalised. I am grateful to the people who made this possible but I am also angry that it ever came to this.

'Overall I am elated but I cannot believe it is actually happening until I see Julian.'

Top secret underwater drone dubbed the Manta Ray is spotted in California naval base on Google Earth

A top-secret US submarine drone weapon dubbed the 'Manta Ray' has been spotted by hawk-eyed online users on Google Earth and remains visible to the public.

Satellite images showing the vessel docked at Port Hueneme naval base in California went viral on Sunday, before some social media users said the satellite images were removed, and replaced with what people believed were edited boats.

As it stands, however, satellite images of the vessel can be seen on Google Earth.

The vessel - named after the sea creature due to its diamond-shaped body and wing-like fins - is used for underwater threat detection and was designed by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

The aerospace group's futuristic underwater drone is part of a US navy project to develop a new class of underwater drones which are capable of carrying out much longer missions.

The unmanned, underwater craft, has been designed to move through the ocean without human supervision or the need to refuel, and it is also able to hibernate on the seabed in a 'low power mode'.

The ultimate goal is allowing soldiers to continue their mission on land without being interrupted to power, maintain and refuel an underwater machine.

Northrop Grumman also says that due to its modular design, it can be dismantled and transported in standard shipping containers for rapid deployment.

The military machine is the first in a new class of long duration, long range and payload-capable unmanned undersea vehicles, which carry out missions without the need of human interference.

Until recently, its pioneering design, which allows it to stay submerged for long periods of time, had been kept secret.

Some defense analysts have speculated that the US navy ants to develop a drone capable of carrying out long missions to search the seas for Russian and Chinese submarines, according to The Telegraph.

This comes after it was first announced four years ago that a new class of 'extra-large Manta Ray' underwater drones would be built by Lockheed Martin after the Pentagon awarded the firm $12.3 million.

The leader in global security and aerospace had been awarded the contract to start the first phase of the Manta Ray program from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) - the U.S. Department of Defense's experimental research arm

By harnessing marine organisms' ability to sense even the most minute disturbances in their environments, DARPA said it could be able to preemptively discover even the smallest autonomous vehicles.

Two Liberal Senators have condemned Julian Assange following news he had struck a plea deal with United States authorities, arguing his actions had "put the lives of Australians in danger."

Two Liberal Senators have declared "Julian Assange is no hero," after news broke the Wikileaks founder may soon be allowed to return to Australia following a plea deal with authorities in the United States.

Assange, who spent more than a decade detained overseas, first rose to prominence in 2010 when he published almost half a million classified US military and diplomatic cables, in full, on the Wikileaks website.

The publication sparked a criminal investigation in the US, with former US President Barack Obama labelling the dump a "deplorable act" that gravely endangered the lives of hundreds of people named in the documents.

On Monday, news broke Assange had agreed to a plea deal, in which he would plead guilty to a single criminal count of conspiring to obtain and disclose classified US national defence documents in exchange for freedom.

Reacting to the news, shadow home affairs minister James Paterson was quick to remind Australians the Wikileaks founder had committed "a serious crime," as he welcomed the US' decision to show leniency in the case.

"Julian Assange is no hero, but it is a welcome thing that this has finally come to an end," he told Sky News Australia.

"Note, it has come to an end because Mr Assange has finally agreed to plead guilty to the charges against him, which are very serious national security charges.

"He could have entered into a plea deal at any point during his long incarceration and while it's true, as many people say, that this has gone on for a long time, the reason why it's gone on for a long time is that he was evading lawful extradition requests by hiding in the Ecuadorian embassy and then challenging them through every level of the UK courts, which he's entitled to do.

A person was struck and killed Monday evening by an Amtrak train in Northeast Washington, authorities said.

The train struck the unnamed person at around 6:37 p.m. Monday, according to an Amtrak alert on X. The collision occurred near 2200 Adams Place NE, D.C. Fire and EMS said in a post.

The victim was found in the 2000 block of Bladensburg Road NE and was declared dead at the scene, D.C. firefighters said in an update.

The victim was a trespasser, Amtrak said, and the response to the strike left train traffic delayed for hours.
