There's a little town in Switzerland called Saint Genis Pouilly.

Until the 1960's this place was relatively small in commerce and population. Part of the name - Pouilly - comes from the latin Appolliacum. It seems this place once was a town named for the Greek god Apollo.

Apollo is no small character. He had a major cult, and was heralded as a god of music, medicine, poetry, and truth; just to name a few.
