New York Democrats Demand Reparations for Black Residents, Say $223,000 Per Person Not Enough

California made news last week when Governor Gavin Newsom’s reparations committee called for giving descendants of slaves (meaning all black people in their view) $223,000 each due to “housing discrimination.” Now some Democrats in New York want to follow California’s example.

Supporters of reparations previously pushed failed legislation this year calling for a commission to provide billions in reparations for black people. In the wake of California’s actions, however, they will try again to bully the state legislature and Governor Kathy Hochul into approving a commission.

From The New York Post:

“We saw what happened in California. We want to pass a bill that starts a conversation about reparations,” said Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages (D-Nassau), chairwoman of the New York Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus, to The Post.

Assemblywoman Taylor Darling (D-Nassau) said it would be a “slap in the face” if Gov. Kathy Hochul and the legislature don’t green-light a reparations study commission.

Darling also scoffed that the $223,000 figure that California’s task force recommended for each black descendant there was too low.

“This country was built on the backs of enslaved people. It has impacted everything — housing, economic development, education,” she said.

The Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila pointed out in her article on California’s reparations committee that their proposal would cost the taxpayers an eyepopping $559 billion. The current California state budget is $308 billion.

The proposal envisioned by the New York assembly members would far exceed this. There are approximately 3.8 million blacks residing in the state. Should New York provide each black individual $300,000 in slave reparations, for example, the total cost for the taxpayers would be around $1.14 trillion. Does this sound feasible?

Reparations are not popular with the public to begin with. A poll released last year showed 62% of all Americans opposed paying reparations to the descendants of slaves. And who can blame them? Punishing today’s Americans for the sins of their ancestors is fundamentally immoral not to mention unconstitutional.

Another issue with reparations is not every person with black blood descended from slaves. Donald Harris, Kamala Harris’s father, says he is a descendant of a slave owner, not actually slaves. Yet Harris and her family would qualify for reparations under the proposals from California and New York.

The California and New York proposals also seem to indicate that all racial groups would subsidize black people rather than just whites. While punishing white people alone is fundamentally evil, penalizing Asians and Hispanics is even more absurd. At last check, these groups never owned slaves in America. Just another example of how poorly considered these ideas are and how supporters only see dollar signs.

Reparations serve as just another example how Democrats want to exploit racial divisions for political gain, no matter the cost. All of them should be voted out of office.

The doctors were wrong about the shots to begin with. What makes people think they are correct now when some are willing to admit they are dangerous but have no information on remediation. Where there's life there's hope.

Theory, the three or more personalities in the whole fiasco of POTUS, YE etc. has been a long term strategy based to undermine POTUSand the America First, MAGA view for the world. Giorno, Milo and Loomer glommed onto to Trump from the beginning. Each one has harmed the movement in one way or another. Each one has in some way hurt the world view and burrowed their way into his circle of influence. I feel like the sabotage strategy is just and the next step and extension of the FBI, DOJ, Republicans, Democrats and the federal government to destroy Trump at every turn.

The first part of research and trying to confirm a theory, is from NBC article stating how Karen Giorno was intimately involved in working with Milo on getting Ye and team into Mar A Lago. Note Giorno worked with Trump on his 2016 campaign and also his 2020 campaign. There are too many statements that Giorno didn’t know the plan, wasn’t officially involved, didn’t know the people coming, etc. One added sentence from another article, Giorno is representing Ye in his 2024 run for President. Milo was the one that asked her to help them to get into Mar A Lago, and to drive them up to there. Milo wrote this glowing article on her in 2020. I’m pretty sure all these people that have been in politics forever, especially those who worked for the Bush’s forever in both Admin, are plants. Milo seems like (Ageny Asset: SeeEyeAye, or Mossad). • Yiannopoulos said Fuentes is serving in an advisory capacity to Ye. Giorno is not an official member of the unofficial Ye campaign team but flew to Los Angeles to meet with them this week.

• Yiannopoulos persuaded a former Trump 2016 campaign adviser from Florida, Karen Giorno, to give Ye a ride to Mar-a-Lago, which she said led her to become an accidental member of Ye’s dinner party.

• Yiannopoulos said he also wanted Giorno to brief Ye on Trump and politics and, if she went to the dinner, to lend a sense of political gravitas to the discussion.The fourth member of the party was a man Ye later identified as a parent of a student at his private school in California, Donda Academy. (Donda shut down for the year after Ye’s antisemitic remarks.) Yiannopoolos said he was unsure of why the man traveled with them.

Yiannopoulos confirmed that he gave limited information to Giorno.

• “Given Milo’s multiyear, anti-Trump posts since 2020 and his self-proclaimed desire to get a vengeance on President Donald Trump,Karen Giorno cannot in good faith say that she didn’t know what Milo was planning to do … Karen and Milo set Trump up to make him look bad,” said Laura Loomer, a Trump loyalist who ran for Congress in Florida in 2020 and hired Giorno, who then met Yiannopoulos through Loomer and hired him to work for the candidate.

• Both had separate clashes with Loomer, in 2022 and 2020, respectively. Yiannopoulos and Giorno dismissed Loomer’s criticisms as the result of their falling out.

• Loomer was one of the first high-profile right-wing activists banned from Twitter in 2018, after calling one of the nation’s first Muslim congresswomen, Democrat Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, “anti Jewish” and attacking Islam for abusing women.

• Loomer also criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for being complicit in the alleged Trump setup because she is an ally of Yiannopoulos and had hired him as a summer intern.

• A spokesperson for Greene denied the accusation of her involvement but declined to comment further to NBC News; Greene fired back at Loomer on her Telegram social media channel. Greene also has a Fuentes connection: She spoke at his America First Political Action confab in Florida in February but then said she didn’t know who he was.

• Giorno said she had been caught in the blast radius of the dinner with Ye and Fuentes but was an unwitting participant.On the night she drove the crew to Mar-a-Lago, she said, she didn’t realize there was going to be a confrontation and she didn’t have time to call or text anyone with a heads-upbecause Ye’s flight landed about 5 p.m., in the middle of the South Florida metropolis’ rush hour on a rainy day. It took the party three hours to get to Mar-a-Lago, double what it normally takes. (This is bullshit, she could have asked the President for a minute of his time before he took them into the Dining Room. She was a 30 year political consultant, where there’s a will there is a way.

• About halfway to Mar-a-Lago, Giorno said in an interview, she realized that Ye, Fuentes and the other man weren’t properly attired.

• “All of you are wearing jeans. Did they not tell you about the dress code?” she said she asked.

• Ye said he hadn’t been informed and that “I doubt Nick is going to get in anyway.”

• “Nick,” she said she asked, “what’s your last name?” Fuentes gave his last name.

• “I’m going to kill Milo,” Giorno said she thought. Giorno kept driving and said they would probably have trouble getting into Mar-a-Lago because of private security and Secret Service. Giorno said she also realized she had forgotten her driver’s license, so she had to use a credit card with her name on it to prove her identity to get in.

• Because she had Ye in her car and she is a frequent visitor to the property, having attended Trump’s campaign announcement seven days before, Giorno said, the four of them were able to get in.

• Trump met the party in the foyer and warmly greeted everyone, but he was puzzled that his old adviser was somehow with Ye, Giorno said. Giorno said she tried to leave Trump with Ye privately.

• “Sir, it’s really good to see you again,” she said she told Trump. “My understanding is you’re supposed to have a private meeting with Ye and I’m happy to go to the bar with these two guys while you have dinner.” (again bullshit). But Trump deferred.

There’s a hidden risk to the global financial system embedded in the $65 trillion of dollar debt being held by non-US institutions via currency derivatives, according to the Bank for International Settlements.

3. She’s had some scuffles in Florida politics.

Back in August 2018, Giorno was accused of being paid to endorse candidates for the Florida Senate and the Florida House. Giorno endorsed Florida Senate candidate Belinda Keiser in early summer of 2018. About two weeks later, Keiser paid Kingston Public Affairs $70,325 on July 16 for “political consulting,” according to the Florida Division of Elections.

Giorno’s Florida issues go back even further. Politico reported in 2016 that Giorno had resigned from Governor Rick Scott’s administration in 2011. She was his external affairs director. Why did she leave? Giorno said, “I enjoyed my time in Tallahassee but decided to leave to take advantage of a good professional opportunity.”

However, her resignation came soon after a Disney G.O.P. fundraiser that did not go the way she wanted. Giorno reportedly tried to rearrange seating at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the Palin family — Sarah Palin was the Republican Party of Florida’s keynote speaker for the Victory Dinner. Not only did she muddle with the seating charts the RPOF staff made, but she also was not allowed to do so. The dinner was a political function; as a state official in Governor Scott’s administration, Giorno was attempting to control beyond her reach.

“I do remember a hell of a lot of drama going on at the time,” a former party employee said of the debacle. “Staff was really fired up.”

Another former employee said, “[Giorno] yelled at RPOF staff and got into an altercation with some fundraising folks, then was summarily told to leave the room and not come back.”

4. She is “no friend of Donald Trump.”

In September 2016, just two months before the election, Trump removed Giorno from her position as senior political advisor. She was replaced by Susie Wiles, in the hopes that Wiles would do more to get votes, as Trump and Clinton were neck and neck in the significant election state. Giorno was not bitter after she was ousted.

“Wiles is a winner,” Giorno said. “She knows how to win.” She told Politico that she has a “confrontational style,” while Wiles has “a cheerful disposition and a reputation of being a consensus-builder.”

Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, reportedly told Trump during his campaign, “If I were you, I would run as fast as you can away from that person.” Giorno is originally from New Jersey; Trump hired her out of the state in October 2015.

In Florida, Giorno worked closely with Alva Johnson, who joined the Florida campaign at the end of July after she helped contribute to Trump’s successes in other states. According to Johnson’s documents, Giorno was there in the RV with Johnson, Trump, and other supporters. As the alleged kiss happened, Bondi and Giorno were behind Johnson on the RV. According to the documents, “[as] Ms. Bondi walked off the RV [after the kiss], she glanced at Ms. Johnson and smiled. Ms. Giorno, walking behind Ms. Bondi, grabbed Ms. Johnson’s elbow and gave it an approving tug.”

She has not yet commented on the allegations, but according to accounts of people who have worked with Giorno in the past, her interests lie in herself and herself alone.

“She makes a lot of promises, but I don’t think she’s for Trump,” Kevin Sifferman, a volunteer for the Trump campaign in Florida, said. “I don’t think she’s for Florida. She’s only in it for herself.”
