The CIA has been the subject of many controversies, including human rights violations, domestic wiretapping and propaganda, and allegations of drug trafficking.

At least since World War II, a distinction has been drawn between assassination of civilian leaders, and targeted killings of leaders of fighting organizations,

including the British-Czech Operation Anthropoid (the killing of SS officer Reinhard Heydrich, acting Reichsprotektor of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia),

a failed British attempt to kill Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, and Operation Vengeance, the shooting down of Isoroku Yamamoto by the US Air Force.

The CIA has admitted to involvement in assassination attempts against foreign leaders. Recently, there have been targeted killings of alleged terrorists,

typically with missiles fired from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones.

The Pakistani government, which may "have picked some targets of drone attacks"[76] has criticized the US for drones flying over its territory as an infringement of Pakistani sovereignty.

Increased criticism of the CIA drone program has come mostly during the later stages of the war in Afghanistan.

One of the main criticisms of the drone program is that "the surgical use of military force in self-defense itself creates a state of international armed conflict".[76]

Arguments and criticisms of the CIA drone program have been made, but as it is still relatively new, legal rulings have not yet been made.

Of the cases cited, it appears that no CIA personnel or even directly controlled foreign agents personally killed any leader, but there certainly were cases where the CIA knew of, or supported,

plots to overthrow foreign leaders. In the cases of Lumumba in 1960/61 and Castro in the 50s and 60s, the CIA was involved in preparing to kill the individual.

In other cases, such as Diem, the Agency knew of a plot but did not warn him, and communications at White House level indicated that the Agency had, with approval, told the plotters the US didn't object to their plan.

The gun or poison, however, was not in the hands of a CIA officer.

CIA personnel were involved in attempted assassinations of foreign government leaders such as Fidel Castro.

They provided support to those that killed Patrice Lumumba. In yet another category was noninterference in the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) Coup d'état in which President Ngo Dinh Diem was killed.

A distinction has been drawn between political assassinations and "targeted killing" of leaders of non-state belligerents.

Project MKULTRA, or MK-ULTRA, was the code name for a CIA mind-control research program that began in 1950, involved primarily with the experimentation of drugs and other "chemical, biological and radiological" stimuli

on both willing and uninformed subjects.[71]

Brainwashing as a descriptive term entered the lexicon of the CIA in January 1950 .[72] Although widely used in science fiction novels, dystopian depictions of oppressive governments, and other popular culture mediums,

brainwashing as it relates to the CIA was disseminated by the CIA to “fuel public anxiety about communist methods”.[73] MK-Ultra, as verified with unsealed public documents, was a CIA program intended to brainwash.

Independent researchers have verified that the historical explanation for brainwashing in MK-Ultra could have only been accomplished through torture.[74]

Thus, torture on civilians and unwilling participants, itself a humans rights violation, comes to frame.

In December 1974, The New York Times reported that the CIA had conducted illegal domestic activities, including experiments on U.S. citizens, during the 1960s.

The report prompted investigations by both the U.S. Congress (in the form of the Church Committee) and a presidential commission (known as the Rockefeller Commission).

The congressional investigations and the Rockefeller Commission report revealed that the CIA and the Department of Defense had in fact conducted experiments to influence and control human behavior

through the use of psychoactive drugs such as LSD and mescaline and other chemical, biological, and psychological means. Experiments were often conducted without the subjects' knowledge or consent.

MK-ULTRA was started on the order of CIA director Allen Dulles, largely in response to alleged Soviet, Chinese, and North Korean use of mind-control techniques on U.S. prisoners of war in Korea.

The goal of the experiments was to study mind-control in order to develop methods of interrogation and behavior modification and manipulation, as well as to develop a possible truth drug.

FDA Authorizes Moderna and Pfizer Updated Booster Shots Against Omicron for Kids as Young as 5 to 11

Last month, the booster shots against Omicron got emergency authorization this week, and a CDC panel voted to recommend the shots for people over the age of 12.

The latest Covid booster was supposedly reformulated to ‘protect’ against Omicron subvariants.

The new COVID boosters were not tested on humans – only mice. . The Food and Drug Administration is only relying on the mice trial data.

On Wednesday, the FDA authorized Moderna and Pfizer the updated booster shots for children as young as 5 to 11.

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorizations (EUAs) of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent to authorize their use as a single booster dose in younger age groups. The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent is authorized for administration at least two months following completion of primary or booster vaccination in children down to six years of age. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent is authorized for administration at least two months following completion of primary or booster vaccination in children down to five years of age.

These bivalent COVID-19 vaccines include an mRNA component of the original strain to provide an immune response that is broadly protective against COVID-19 and an mRNA component in common between the omicron variant BA.4 and BA.5 lineages to provide better protection against COVID-19 caused by the omicron variant. The mRNA in these vaccines is a specific piece of genetic material that instructs cells in the body to make the distinctive “spike” protein of the original virus strain and the omicron variant lineages BA.4 and BA.5. The spike proteins of BA.4 and BA.5 are identical.

“Since children have gone back to school in person and people are resuming pre-pandemic behaviors and activities, there is the potential for increased risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. Vaccination remains the most effective measure to prevent the severe consequences of COVID-19, including hospitalization and death,” said Peter Marks, M.D., Ph.D. “While it has largely been the case that COVID-19 tends to be less severe in children than adults, as the various waves of COVID-19 have occurred, more children have gotten sick with the disease and have been hospitalized. Children may also experience long-term effects, even following initially mild disease. We encourage parents to consider primary vaccination for children and follow-up with an updated booster dose when eligible.”

With today’s authorization, the monovalent Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is no longer authorized as a booster dose for individuals five through 11 years of age. Both the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine continue to be authorized for primary series administration in individuals six months of age and older.

Dr. Paul Offit, MD, a top vaccine expert and FDA adviser has warned last month that there is insufficient evidence to recommend the new booster shot for healthy young adults and said it could carry risks.

During an interview with CNN, Dr. Offit said this new Covid booster shot is unlikely to benefit healthy young people and said it’s ‘unfair to make them take a risk.’

Dr. Offit: “When you’re asking people to get a vaccine, I think there has to be clear evidence of benefit. And we’re not going to have clinical studies, obviously, before this launches, but you’d like to have at least human data on people getting this vaccine. You see a clear and dramatic increase in neutralizing antibiotics, and then at least you have a correlate of protection against BA4, BA5. Because if you don’t have that, if there’s not clear evidence of benefit, then it’s not fair [to ask people to take a risk]. The benefits should be clear.”

CORONAVIRUSNew Study: Babies Born In Lockdown Less Likely To Speak Before First Birthday

A new study by researchers in Ireland has concluded that babies born during the COVID lockdown were less likely to be able to speak before their first birthday than children born previously.

The study, led by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, found that children were less likely to be able to reach so called development milestones including waving ‘goodbye’ and pointing at objects.

The study, published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood, focused on 309 babies born in the first three months of lockdown in Ireland between March and May 2020, and tested for ten behavioural milestones at their first birthday, with results then compared against 2000 babies born between the years 2008 and 2011.

The study, titled Social communication skill attainment in babies born during the COVID-19 pandemic, found lockdown babies were 14 per cent less likely to have said their first word, nine per cent less likely to have started pointing, and six per cent less likely to wave goodbye.

Researchers believe that face masks limited the children’s ability to see people’s mouths and become accustomed to facial expressions, leading to enhanced difficulties learning to speak.

In addition, prohibiting relatives and friends of the parents from visiting the children is thought to have contributed to the stunting of social development.

“Lockdown measures may have reduced the repertoire of language heard and the sight of unmasked faces speaking to [infants],” a statement from researchers reads.

It continues, “It may also have curtailed opportunities to encounter new items of interest, which might prompt pointing, and the frequency of social contacts to enable them to learn to wave bye-bye.”

“They were still more likely to be crawling… which might be because they were more likely to have spent more time at home on the ground rather than out of the home in cars and strollers,” the statement also noted.

While the study was observational only, it adds to other evidence that lockdowns and masking in particular have had massively detrimental impacts upon children.

A study in Britain found that many children entering elementary school have severely underdeveloped verbal skills, with many are unable to even say their own name.

According to speech therapists, mask wearing has caused a 364% increase in patient referrals of babies and toddlers.

Two transgender patients today revealed their regret at going through NHS sex change operations and claimed they were 'rushed' into the life-changing procedures.

In powerful testimony that will raise fresh fears that vulnerable young people are being pushed into invasive and unalterable surgery by zealous transgender activists, they spoke of the terrible impacts on their mental and physical health.

After describing in graphic detail the nature of the surgery required to remove his male anatomy, 35-year-old Ritchie said: 'This is not reversible, the experiment is over for me, there really really isn't any turning back.'

Meanwhile, Amber - who had a mastectomy and took testosterone to transition from female to male - described the pain and health difficulties she had experienced since being 'rushed' into surgery, and said she wished she had been given therapy instead.

Their brave testimony in No Turning Back, a new film from Branded Film Studios that can be viewed in full on media platform Ickonic, is a rare example of 'detransitioners' coming forward to reveal their regrets.

'When Mermaids and Stonewall always talk about the people who don't get the chance to transition, they don't talk about the people who regret the process of transitioning,' filmmaker Charlotte Fantelli told MailOnline - referring to two charities who have faced scrutiny for their stance on transgender issues.

Ritchie, a civil servant from the north of England, detransitioned after spending nearly a decade as a trans woman.

After feeling 'different' as a young boy, he discovered gender dysphoria while browsing online forums in his early 20s. When he explained his feelings to other forum users he was told he was '100 per cent trans and should act on it'.

In March 2014, Ritchie drove to a private clinic in Scotland where after just three appointments in two days he obtained a diagnosis which would allow him to be prescribed cross sex hormones on the NHS. He then went to an NHS gender clinic in Brighton.

US Supreme Court Overturns Pennsylvania Court – Rules that Ballots with Even Minor Flaws Cannot Be Counted in Elections

The Supreme Court ruled that ballots with flaws in them cannot be counted in Pennsylvania elections.

The United States Supreme Court has sided with a Pennsylvania Republican in a ballot case for a judgeship.

The Supreme Court nixed a lower court ruling that allowed the counting of mail-in ballots that did not have the date on them, the Associated Press reported.

The justices vacated the ruling by the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals as requested by David Ritter, who lost his 2021 bid for a spot on the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas to a Democratic rival by five votes after 257 absentee ballots without date notations were counted.

The high court’s action means that the 3rd Circuit ruling cannot be used as a precedent in the three states covered by this regional federal appellate court – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware – to allow the counting of ballots with minor flaws such as the voter failing to fill in the date.

The campaign for Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania recognized that the lower court’s ruling was in error and would negatively impact future elections in the state, so they joined David Ritter in his appeal.

But the campaign for Oz submitted a brief in support of judicial candidate David Ritter. “The Third Circuit’s thinly reasoned and erroneous decision — which addressed a county judicial election conducted more than six months ago — is now being weaponized to undermine the apparent result of a statewide primary election for the Republican nomination to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate,” his attorneys said.

In May, the three-judge panel on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling that said election officials should count several hundred mail ballots that were received without a date on the envelopes in an election for county judge that was received on time, Politico reported.

Pennsylvania elections are a joke and have been for some time. In 2019 the state’s auditor reported on the abysmal state of the state’s election process.

Dramatic footage has emerged of NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole's brother being arrested over his alleged involvement in a massive drug supply syndicate

Joshua Toole, 38, was taken into custody along with a 24-year-old woman in synchronised vehicle stops in Newcastle and the Central Coast at about 9am on Wednesday.

Video shows police instructing Mr Toole to open his boot and exit the vehicle before detectives slapped handcuffs on him. He was led away by a detective while police officers searched his car.

Mr Toole was taken to Belmont Police station where he was charged with multiple counts of drug supply and directing the activities of a criminal group.

The woman and two other men have also been charged with drug-related offenses, following raids at various properties which allegedly uncovered $2million in meth and $220,000 in cash.

Mr Toole was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday.

"She was happy to cooperate with <oldgeezersperm.jpeg Committee to clear up <oldgeezersperm.jpeg misconceptions about her activities surrounding <oldgeezersperm.jpeg 2020 elections," he said in a statement.

Ms Thomas, who is active in conservative political circles, attended a rally Mr Trump had held shortly before thousands of his supporters stormed <oldgeezersperm.jpeg Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden's election victory.

At <oldgeezersperm.jpeg rally, Mr Trump gave an incendiary speech repeating his false claims that <oldgeezersperm.jpeg election was stolen from him through widespread voting fraud, and urged his supporters to march to <oldgeezersperm.jpeg Capitol.

A committee spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Some other Wolf-Rayet systems form dust, but none is known to make rings like Wolf-Rayet 140 does. The unique ring pattern forms because the orbit of the Wolf-Rayet star in WR 140 is elongated, not circular. Only when the stars come close together – about the same distance between Earth and the Sun – and their winds collide is the gas under sufficient pressure to form dust. With circular orbits, Wolf-Rayet binaries can produce dust continuously.

Lau and his co-authors think WR 140’s winds also swept the surrounding area clear of residual material they might otherwise collide with, which may be why the rings remain so pristine rather than smeared or dispersed. There are likely even more rings that have become so faint and dispersed, not even Webb can see them in the data.

Wolf-Rayet stars may seem exotic compared to our Sun, but they may have played a role in star and planet formation. When a Wolf-Rayet star clears an area, the swept-up material can pile up at the outskirts and become dense enough for new stars to form. There is some evidence the Sun formed in such a scenario.

Using data from MIRI’s Medium Resolution Spectroscopy mode, the new study provides the best evidence yet that Wolf-Rayet stars produce carbon-rich dust molecules. What’s more, the preservation of the dust shells indicates that this dust can survive in the hostile environment between stars, going on to supply material for future stars and planets.

The catch is that while astronomers estimate that there should be at least a few thousand Wolf-Rayet stars in our galaxy, only about 600 have been found to date.

“Even though Wolf-Rayet stars are rare in our galaxy because they are short lived as far as stars go, it’s possible they’ve been producing lots of dust throughout the history of the galaxy before they explode and/or form black holes,” said Patrick Morris, an astrophysicist at Caltech in Pasadena, California, and a co-author of the new study. “I think with NASA’s new space telescope we’re going to learn a lot more about how these stars shape the material between stars and trigger new star formation in galaxies.”

Alex Jones must pay Sandy Hook families $965M in second defamation trial

Alex Jones was ordered to pay $965 million to families of victims of the Sandy Hook massacre by a Connecticut jury on Wednesday — in the second defamation ruling against the conspiracy theorist for his claims that the 2012 mass shooting was a hoax.

The far-right Infowars host has repeatedly claimed the shooting was a media fabrication, denying that gunman Adam Lanza slaughtered 26 people at the elementary school and then himself on Dec. 14, 2012.

Families of the victims said Jones profited off their suffering, amassing tens of millions of dollars by repeating the lies that drove clicks to his website Infowars and helped him hawk merchandise.

The parents wept while the damages were being read.

Each of the plaintiffs was awarded a different amount for defamation and personal damages, but all were awarded tens of millions of dollars.

“Every single one of these families [was] drowning in grief, and Alex Jones put his foot right on top of them,” attorney Chris Mattei told then jury during the trial.

Meanwhile, Jones’ lawyer Norman Pattis insisted the trial was “not a case about politics.”

The families said Jones harassed them and sicced his followers on them, leading to death threats. Multiple parents of murdered children testified during the trial, recounting the pain and torture Jones’ inflicted on them while they were already grieving.

Jones acknowledged the shooting while testifying, but derided the judge and said the case was a Democrat-led conspiracy to end his career.

“I’ve already said ‘I’m sorry’ hundreds of times and I’m done saying I’m sorry,” he told the jury.

Jones was not present as the verdict was read, and mocked the verdict on Infowars while it was being read.

“Hey, folks, don’t go buying big homes,” he said, insisting he wouldn’t be paying the nearly $1 billion sum.

In August, an Austin, Texas, jury ordered him to pay $49.3 million to Sandy Hook parents in a defamation trial with different plaintiffs.

He is facing a third defamation trial in Texas that will begin at the end of the year.

"What Hell's Like" - Jury Orders Alex Jones To Pay Sandy Hook Families, FBI Agent $1 Billion

Late this afternoon, the jury in Alex Jones' second defamation trial awarded the families of eight victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and one FBI agent, $965 million.

"Today, a jury representing our community rendered a historic verdict, a verdict against Alex Jones' lies and their poisonous spread, and a verdict for truth and our common humanity," Chris Mattei, the families' lead attorney said outside the courthouse.

The plaintiffs sought a sum of $550 million to match the total views his claims received, per CNN Business.

Ultimately, the jury awarded the plaintiffs nearly double the already enormous sum.

In the first trial earlier this year, Jones was ordered to pay nearly $50 million in punitive and compensatory damages to the families of one victim.

This brings the total award above $1 billion as Jones awaits to hear damages in a third defamation trial he lost to the parents of another victim.

Testimony from an employee of Jones pegged his total earnings from the sale of dietary supplements, books and survival gear at $100 million to $1 billion since the shooting, with $810,000 in sales on a single day in 2020.

Jones, primarily through his website and radio show Infowars, has claimed the shooting was a "false flag" operation using "crisis actors" to undermine gun rights. He admitted during the Texas trial in August that he believes it was "100% real."

Speaking on his website InfoWars, Jones said:

"This must be what Hell's like, they just read out the damages even though you don't got the money," adding "why not make it trillions?"

During another sidewalk press conference Jones denounced the judge and jury as “rigged” and mocked the trial as a “kangaroo court," adding that:

"they could get a $1 billion verdict, and they wouldn’t get a dime."

Jones' attorney, Norm Pattis, said outside the courthouse on Wednesday: "We very, very, very much look forward to an appeal."

“We disagree with the basis of the default, we disagree with the court’s evidentiary rulings. In more than 200 trials in the course of my career I have never seen a trial like this,” Pattis added.

"Today is a very, very dark day for freedom of speech."

Free Speech Systems, the parent company of Infowars, declared bankruptcy in August for a second time this year in a bid to limit the cost of litigation damages.
