It was one of the most decisive moments in recent history for Fox News. And it has proven to be one of its most controversial.

There has been rampant speculation about who made the call, which Arizonans testify was made while voters were still in line in an extraordinarily tight race.

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey himself castigated the network for making the early call.

“It’s far too early to call the election in Arizona,” Ducey wrote. “Election Day votes are not fully reported, and we haven’t even started to count early ballots dropped off at the polls. In AZ, we protected Election Day. Let’s count the votes — all the votes — before making declarations.”

Trump adviser Jason Miller also ripped the network over the call.

“Fox News is a complete outlier in calling Arizona, and other media outlets should not follow suit,” Miller wrote. “There are still 1M+ Election Day votes out there waiting to be counted – we pushed our people to vote on Election Day, but now Fox News is trying to invalidate their votes!”

“We only need 61% of the outstanding, uncounted Election Day votes in Arizona to win. These votes are coming from “our counties,” and the 61% figure is very doable based on what our other Election Day votes are looking like,” he added. “FoxNews should retract their call immediately.”

Business Insider now reports that in Michael Wolff’s forthcoming book, Landslide there is a scene where Lachlan Murdoch got a call from Fox’s election desk about calling Arizona. The following is directly from the Business Insider report.

The book [notes] that the Murdochs—who spearhead a vast right-wing media empire—had “every reason” to delay calling Arizona at the time, given Fox’s steadfast allegiance to Trump and the fact that no other network had made the call yet. “Lachlan got his father on the phone to ask if he wanted to make the early call. His father, with signature grunt, assented, adding, ‘F— him,’” Wolff wrote. The book [says] that Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer then called Trump’s lead social media strategist,Jason Miller, to let him know the network was going to call Arizona for Biden. “Miller involuntarily rose from his seat. ‘What the f—?’ he said out loud, looking around and seeing the still-merry and untroubled faces in the Map Room”…Wolff wrote. Hemmer reportedly replied: “That’s what they’re doing. That’s what they’re going with.”

“Who?” Miller asked.

“The election desk,” Hemmer said, adding that the network’s decision was going to be aired imminently. The decision to call Arizona for Biden was a pivotal moment on election night, indicating the Democrat was poised to win the traditionally Republican-leaning state and complicating Trump’s ability to declare an early victory in the overall race.

Rupert Murdoch thus personally made the decision to allow Fox News to call Arizona for Joe Biden in the 2020 election, according to the forthcoming book.

The state was competitive at the time of the call. Arizona had not voted for a Democratic president since Bill Clinton in 1996.

The fallout from the Arizona election is still ongoing, as an independent audit has provoked tremendous controversy. But at least Americans now know who ultimately made the call that Arizona went to Biden.

A weird thing happened right after the Nov. 3 election: nothing.

The nation was braced for chaos. Liberal groups had vowed to take to the streets, planning hundreds of protests across the country. Right-wing militias were girding for battle. In a poll before Election Day, 75% of Americans voiced concern about violence.

Instead, an eerie quiet descended. As President Trump refused to concede, the response was not mass action but crickets. When media organizations called the race for Joe Biden on Nov. 7, jubilation broke out instead, as people thronged cities across the U.S. to celebrate the democratic process that resulted in Trump’s ouster.

A second odd thing happened amid Trump’s attempts to reverse the result: corporate America turned on him. Hundreds of major business leaders, many of whom had backed Trump’s candidacy and supported his policies, called on him to concede. To the President, something felt amiss. “It was all very, very strange,” Trump said on Dec. 2. “Within days after the election, we witnessed an orchestrated effort to anoint the winner, even while many key states were still being counted.”

In a way, Trump was right.

There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, the New York doctor who pioneered the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and zinc as treatment for COVID-19, gave a lengthy interview to LifeSiteNews explaining why this protocol has been so successful. Speaking with LifeSite’s Claire Chretien, Zelenko discussed coronavirus vaccines and the “group of sociopaths” that wants to administer these injections to the entire world, as well as the rampant censorship of information about treating the virus.

Zelenko has been a family physician for two decades in upstate New York. COVID-19 swept through that area at the advent of the coronavirus outbreak in March 2020. Of the more severe cases of the Wuhan coronavirus at that time, most patients were put on respirators, but “80 to 90 percent of people on a respirator were dying, so that wasn’t a very good treatment model,” Zelenko noted.

From 3,000 COVID-positive patients under his care, Zelenko identified 1,000 as “high risk” with whom his HCQ- and zinc-based medical intervention “reduced the death rate from 7.5 percent, to less than half a percent.”

“That is an 84 percent reduction in hospitalization and death.”

“Out of the 600,000 dead Americans that we have, we could have prevented 510,000 from going to the hospital and dying.”

Yet this protocol hasn’t been widely adopted by the medical community. Many Americans who caught the coronavirus found their doctors wouldn’t prescribe Hydroxychloroquine, or pharmacists wouldn’t fill prescriptions for it.

“It has been embraced by world-leading physicians who are honest and capable of deductive reasoning and are not indoctrinated,” Zelenko told LifeSite, but “unfortunately, 90 percent of physicians in this country are incapable of independent thought.”

“The net result is that they follow blindly the recommendations of their employers or government agencies without using common sense. They just follow orders, like the Nazis did.”

Cara Delevingne — once photographed with her then-girlfriend Ashley Benson bringing a “sex bench” into their home — is also getting into the business of pleasure. She was named the co-owner and creative advisor of sex toy company Lora DiCarlo in 2020.

“When I first connected with the Lora DiCarlo team, it became even more apparent to me that the topic of sexual wellness needed to be normalized,” the Carnival Row actress explained to Teen Vogue. “I believe that it’s important for women or people who identify as women to feel comfortable in their own sexual power. I hope through my voice and platform I can amplify and encourage everyone to take pleasure into their own hands."

Other stars are just proud customers. Cardi B has previously promoted Bellesa Boutique, with the “WAP” rapper even gifting the brand’s products to guests at her birthday party. Gwyneth Paltrow proudly purchased herself a vibrator for Christmas in 2019. Her company, Goop, launched its very own vibrator in 2021, which sold out immediately, after previously promoting a 24-karat gold one from the company Lelo in 2016.

Of the decision to sell vibrators, Paltrow told The New York Times, "I think as opposed to 'Why a vibrator now?' it’s sort of, 'How can we make a vibrator that helps continue to diminish stigma around that stuff?'"

All of these endorsements are helping women, famous or not, see sex toys as a normal part of sexual wellness — something that wasn’t always the case.

“The use of sex toys definitely comes with a stigma attached to it,” explains Rachel Needle, a licensed psychologist in West Palm Beach, Fla. and the co-director of Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. “There is a lot of shame due to misinformation and misunderstanding about sexual pleasure and the use of sex toys and accessories. But sex toys can be used for exploring one’s own body and for self-pleasure, to enhance sexual pleasure by those who have sexual difficulties, and with a partner or partners.”

Kate Balestrieri, a licensed psychologist, certified sex and sex addiction therapist and host of the Modern Intimacy podcast, tells Yahoo Life that “when female celebrities use their platform to talk about sexual wellness and pleasure, the whole world listens.”

“Even in 2021, women can experience tremendous amounts of shame, disapproval, deference and isolation in their quest to understand, learn more, own or enjoy their sexuality,” she adds. “Many are given the message that their sexuality is a gift for their partner, or for procreation only. Sexual messaging such as this fosters a disconnect for women in the experience of their own bodies and pleasure.”

Balestrieri stresses that these women are pioneers, not just because they are talking about sexual wellness, but because they break down the stigma of who should be thinking about how to bring more sexual pleasure into their lives.

“When female celebrities step into the space of sexual health and wellness, other women take notice and the conversation about women’s sexual pleasure begins to shift,” she explains. “Suddenly, women see these women who are role models, professionals and in some cases mothers, embracing sexuality, sexual pleasure and sexual conversation. Permission to think about sex differently, and through the female gaze, becomes ever so slowly more and more permissible.”

She adds that while these stars may be opening themselves up to criticism and even “slut shaming” for being outspoken about their sexuality, “their navigation on a public stage always implicitly tells women that they do not need to react, respond or crumble to the sex-negativity of others.”

“Sex therapists and educators work diligently to help people create a healthy relationship with sex but can only reach so many people,” she continues. “When female celebrities join in that conversation, the reach of the message is incredible.”

What is important to note is that the auction at the Transformer gallery hosted by James Alefantis was always patronized by a guest ambassador, who made a special art donation to the gallery.
