I pulled out data for a few states from nyt using the link here in 8kun. Using the data, I converted the timeseries in the json to tabular data using a script that I wrote for it. Then I ran a few scenarios for Pennsylvania in the excel. Posting some of my findings here. The objective is to narrow down the focus to when what happened.
I do not have data from each precinct to correlate. If such data is available, let me know. I can draw a correlation of the data and provide more targetted insights.
As you can see, there are a lot of discrepancies which will have to verified.
If it is useful, i can do it for other states as well.
