There were only 2 ways to possibly interpret this relationship before 2021:
A) He was a NY socialite and got to know the dirty underworld of the very rich, and wanted to use the presidency to take them down
B) He was part of the dirty underworld of the very rich, and wanted to use the presidency to shield them from prosecution
Any scenario where he was simply ignorant of what was going on is impossible. Especially when you consider his refusal to pardon Julian Assange, who's basically the reason the general public knows anything about these crimes at all.
So out of these 2 scenarios, which one seems more likely in 2021? Obviously, A) is no longer a possibility. Even if he just did a speech to the general public, flat out declassifying the crimes of those who went to epstein's island, that would have been SOMETHING. But he didn't.
It makes me wonder why epstein's arrest even occurred in the first place. Must have been the last hurrah of the remaining white hats in the US government.

Hmmm depends on the context. Not paying tax at all is tax evasion and is a federal crime. Trying to pay as little tax as possible is tax avoidance and is perfectly legal.

Epstein owned the property next to Mar A Lago. Before his predation was known, Trump occasionally socialized with him. Then, before any of the Epstein stuff was public, he learned that Epstein’s people were being weird with the young female servers and such at Mar A Lago and he banned him from the club and cut all contact.
Very different from, for example, Bill Clinton who, after it was publicly known that Epstein raped underaged girls, decided to take a lengthy trip around the world with him aboard the Lolita Express.

It was never proven in court that any of that actually happened. What's more likely is that Trump caught wind of the FBI investigation and cut all ties with Epstein. Before getting banned, Mar-A-Lago was Epstein's favorite place to find girls.
