We're witnessing this in real time, as the left's protest-industrial-complex predictably fired up the in multiple blue cities hours after an ICE agent shot a "ICE Watch" activist in Minneapolis. And now we're seeing mobs hunting down federal agents.

Trump declares ‘emergency’ to protect Venezuelan oil funds held by US

The president said the US wants control over Caracas’ petroleum production and trade

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order blocking courts and creditors from laying claim to Venezuelan oil sales revenue held in US Treasury accounts.

The White House said on Friday that the move constitutes a “national emergency” aimed at preserving the funds to “advance US foreign policy objectives” in the region.

Trump said US companies would gain access to oil production in Venezuela, whose president, Nicolas Maduro, was abducted along with his wife during a US commando raid on a compound in Caracas last week. Venezuela condemned the operation as a gross violation of its sovereignty.

The order “blocks any attachment, judgment, decree, lien, execution, garnishment, or other judicial process” against Venezuelan oil and diluent sales revenue held by the Treasury, the White House said. It added that losing control over the funds would “empower malign actors like Iran and Hezbollah” and “directly jeopardize US objectives.”

Trump, who met with US oil executives on Friday, said the companies would invest at least $100 billion in Venezuela’s oil production. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said earlier that Washington plans to sell Venezuelan oil “indefinitely.”

Washington and Kiev are preparing to sign an $800 billion agreement to rebuild Ukraine, The Telegraph has reported. The deal is scheduled to be sealed at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos later this month, Western sources told the newspaper.

The agreement is reportedly structured around the rare earth minerals deal clinched by Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump last year. The accord grants Washington preferential access to the resources; however, the security guarantees long sought by Kiev are not included.

At the time, Trump promoted the agreement as a way to recover what he described as the massive financial aid provided to Kiev by the previous administration. Officials told The Telegraph that the “prosperity” plan envisages attracting around $800 billion over ten years through a combination of loans, grants and private-sector investment.

The newspaper noted that US envoy Steve Witkoff called the agreement a crucial part of the overall ceasefire package he has been negotiating for the past few months. The top state official reportedly said that the world’s largest investment group, BlackRock, would participate in the program.

Trump repeatedly criticized unconditional aid to Kiev in the past, calling Zelensky “the greatest salesman on earth.” Last year, he said his predecessor, Joe Biden, had “fleeced” America by committing $350 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

He has since argued that the US is now profiting from the conflict by sending Ukraine weapons which are being paid for by Washington’s European NATO partners. Moscow has repeatedly condemned Western arms deliveries to Kiev, arguing that they prolong the fighting without altering its outcome.

Some things I can't understand.Such as the bizarre stance of the

Vatican taking the lead to 'save' Venezuelan drug-lord dictator, Nicolas Maduro from the long arm of U.S. law.

That would be the same dictator who dealt lethal illegal drugs that killed millions of Americans, which was the basis for the spectacular military raid on Jan. 3. which was undoubtedly a just action.

But what ought to be of even more concern to the Vatican were his death squads against dissidents, the torture chambers, the terrorists operating bases handed over to Hezb'allah, and the impoverishment of 90% of the citizenry, driving a third of them into exile.So much for the Vatican's pontifications about 'human dignity.'

According to the Washington Post: VATICAN CITY — On Christmas Eve, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, second-in-command to the pope and a longtime diplomatic mediator, urgently summoned Brian Burch, the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, to press for details on America’s plans in Venezuela, according to government documents obtained by The Washington Post.

Would the United States target only drug traffickers, he asked, or was the Trump administration really after regime change?Nicolás Maduro had to go, Parolin conceded, according to the documents, but he urged the U.S. to offer him a way out.

For days, the influential Italian cardinal had been seeking access to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the documents show, desperate to head off bloodshed and destabilization in Venezuela. In his conversation with Burch, a Trump ally, Parolin said Russia was ready to grant asylum to Maduro and pleaded with the Americans for patience in nudging the strongman toward that offer.

“What was proposed to [Maduro] was that he would go away and he would be able to enjoy his money,” said a person familiar with the Russian offer. “Part of that ask was that [President Vladimir] Putin would guarantee security.”

Why on Earth would the Vatican have an interest in seeing this ogre 'enjoy his money,' which, without a doubt, was ill-gotten? Wouldn't jail be better for him, along the lines of, as the lefties like to say, 'if you want peace, work for justice'? At least he could 'repent' in jail.It's positively Richelieu-like, Machiavellian, some kind of Realpolitik from the curia, a battle of power politics and interests instead of a shepherding of the flock.

Parolin paid lip service to getting Maduro out of there, but only after the big pressure campaign began from Trump, meaning, he saw the ouster as inevitable and sought to retrieve some scraps for the brutal leftist thug, frantically contacting Trump officials for information that was none of his business.

The vague claims about avoiding chaos and violence make no sense- the violence of socialism was already there on Venezuela's people, and Trump's embrace of Delcy Rodriguez over the actual democratic winners of the 2024 election certainly was a means of preventing more of it, though it's working out imperfectly.

Why all the desperate diplomatic effort to save Maduro from the consequences of his actions, after the Vatican had been utterly silent about Maduro's nakedly stolen election in 2024, the mass protests crying out for democracy and justice that followed, the thousands of mass 'avalancha' protests carried out for years and years, and the impoverishment and exile of nearly every Venezuelan by Maduro's regime, which is ultimately premised on an inhuman, atheistic ideology combined with a huge round of drug dealing as a means of waging war on the West?

Why the silence over the near-thousand of Maduro's political prisoners? We know they holler about political prisoners in other places, and certainly direct a lot of 'human dignity' complaints to President Trump. Nothing at all about this:

I mean, we’d already heard about “Karens,” a phrase to describe scolding, self-righteous white women. J.D. Vance has been a solid communicator of the MAGA agenda and has taken some of the burden off Donald Trump to have to defend each and every action taken by the administration. He perfectly chastised the “press corps” yesterday regarding their “narrative shaping” around the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Marco Rubio has been a shining star, handling “all of his duties” with aplomb, whether working the Russia-Ukraine peace talks, the Israel-Gaza peace talks, or most recently our action in extricating Nicolás Maduro into custody to stand trial in New York City. Most pertinently, and showing maturity that he did not seem to possess a few years ago, he's smartly framed his work in service to the president’s goals and objectives. This humility has certainly garnered favor with the president and the American people.

After a potentially career-ending blunder at the outset with his Signal mishandling, Pete Hegseth has proven the leader needed to advance Donald Trump’s military objectives in service to his strategy to re-establish American dominance abroad, and more importantly in our hemisphere. Hegseth has set a tone (lethality) and has empowered his generals to work cooperatively toward a common set of objectives. Complex execution of myriad moving parts is difficult to pull off, particularly as they involve complex systems within a hierarchical structure. The bombing of Iranian nuclear sites was perfectly executed. The targeting of “drug boats” and interdiction of “ghost ships” in the Caribbean has been stellar. The attack on Venezuela’s infrastructure, capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, and exit two and a half hours later was executed perfectly.

Kristi Noem has effectively done what Donald Trump has asked her to do, what he ran on: securing the southern border and deporting criminal illegal aliens. Although this task has been complicated by “domestic terrorism” perpetrated by radical leftists, and incited by state and local Democrat leadership, her track record so far has been one of success.

Economically, Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, and Kevin Hassett have maneuvered through a very tenuous re-ordering of our trade relationships with allies and adversaries.

Honorable mentions go to Stephen Miller, Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, Karoline Leavitt, Tom Homan, RFK Jr., and assistant attorney general Harmeet Dhillon.The only failing grade that I would offer is for Attorney General Pam Bondi.

What’s notable in the successes of Trump 47 is his seeming leadership style — respectful empowerment. If you’ve hired qualified people to manage complex operations, engage them in helping craft your and their objectives, give them the tools to perform their tasks with authority and accountability, and support them unequivocally (as long as they’re getting the job done).

Donald Trump is still the man, but his (yuge) ego does not seem to get in the way of letting his all-stars shine. Great things, they say, can be accomplished when people aren’t concerned about who gets the credit.

Hire and appoint great people, based on merit. Set objectives. Empower your team to empower the people to get the job done. Stand beside them when there’s incoming flak, and allow them to shine when they’ve achieved what you set out to achieve.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — More than one thousand people crammed into a Minnesota church Saturday for “training” in how to deal with ICE in the wake of Renee Nicole Good’s fatal shooting — during which the radical leftist organizer urged participants to annoy the agents like “mosquitoes.”

Program sponsor Monarca trains so-called “upstander legal observers” to follow, track, report, and record Department of Homeland Security officers while they are in the midst of operations, and urged the mostly white, middle-aged and elderly attendees to attend protests with gas masks, sunglasses and phone chargers.

“And a pencil,” they said. “In Minnesota, bring a pencil; a pen will freeze.”

Speakers decried the ICE as a “white supremacist police force that has no oversight,” urging the crowd at Roseville Lutheran Church to be persistent in their confrontations.

One speaker blasted “conservative men” and spoke of the alleged “misogynist goals of a white person and nationalist movement that is strangling our nation.”

Another speaker, who explained just how aggressive legal observers were allowed to be, told trainees to annoy ICE agents “just like a mosquito.”

Tables were set up at the front of the church to hand out whistles, which have been used by protesters to draw attention to ICE officers that they are shadowing.

The large crowd split up into groups affiliated with churches, schools, or neighborhoods and shared anecdotes of rumored ICE encounters, with some claiming their family members were “in hiding” and others insisting they knew children who were “stalked” by agents while walking home from school.

In a separate interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News, Bessent also revealed that the Treasury Department plans to pay cash to anyone who comes forward with inside information about Minnesota’s massive fraud operation.

The goal is simple: identify the fraudsters, trace how the money moved, and determine when the key decisions were made.

Bessent made clear that the administration understands how these criminal networks actually work. “We know that these rats will turn on each other,” he said. “We heard today that one of the people who has been convicted of fraud, she was given $200,000 to bribe a juror, and she was so corrupt, she skimmed $80,000 of it and only tried to give a $120,000 bribe.”

That level of corruption, he suggested, creates opportunity for law enforcement. Treasury plans to exploit it. “So we are going to offer whistleblower payments to anyone who wants to tell us who, what, when, where, and how this fraud has been done,” Bessent said. “And I think that that will give us a great report on how to get it done.”

It was a clear signal that the Trump administration intends to break these fraud rings by following the money and turning insiders into witnesses. And it likely won’t be hard to find whistleblowers. Last year, nearly 500 Department of Human Services employees blamed Gov. Tim Walz for the surge in fraud during his administration. In a post on X last year they declared, “Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota,” saying they raised alarms early and repeatedly, only to be met with “the opposite response.” Instead of action, they say Walz “systematically retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression,” with cover from allies in Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and the help of the mainstream media.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says Iran recognizes people’s peaceful protests over economic concerns, but stands firmly against armed terrorists.

He made the remarks during an open session of Parliament on Sunday in the face of foreign-linked sporadic riots across the country.

“Today, the Iranian nation has decided firmly to stand against armed terrorists … We will recognize rightful protests and will seriously investigate them, while standing against terrorists,” he said.

The top legislator also noted that Iran is simultaneously fighting on four fronts of the economic, cognitive, military, and terrorist wars with the United States and the Israeli regime.

The enemies entered the terrorist war against Iran after they suffered a defeat during last year’s military aggression, he said, referring to the illegal US-Israeli war that killed at least 1,064 Iranians between June 13 and 24, 2025.

The enemies waged the terrorist war by exploiting the Iranians’ rightful demands for better economic conditions in recent days, he added.

“Those who openly call themselves foreign mercenaries, betraying their own homeland to appease the US President [Donald Trump] and transforming into Daesh operatives, and initiating a terrorist war – let them know that we will confront them with the most severe measures,” said Qalibaf.

“Those we apprehend will be punished, and those armed will face a harsh and uncompromising response,” he warned, adding, “They are striking at public property, banks, shops, vehicles, and so on, operating in the manner of Daesh, showing no mercy even to women and children.”

Meanwhile, the Parliament speaker stressed that the Iranian nation and Armed Forces remain vigilant in the face of terrorists’ crimes, which are reminiscent of those committed by the US-created Daesh terror outfit.

He also issued a direct warning to the "deluded" US President.

"Be wary of the advice you receive regarding an attack on Iran; ensure it's not the same kind of advice that falsely claimed Mashhad had fallen," he said, referring to a post by Trump days ago in which he had falsely claimed Mashhad had fallen to rioters.

"To prevent miscalculation, understand that should you take action to attack Iran, both the occupied territories and all American military centers, bases, and ships in the region will be legitimate targets," Qalibaf warned.

Some shopkeepers last week staged limited street protests in several Iranian cities over economic instability, but the demonstrations were steered toward violence after public statements by US and Israeli figures—amplified by Israeli-linked Persian-language outlets—encouraged vandalism and disorder.

Authorities have acknowledged the legitimacy of peaceful economic grievances and vowed to address them, while blaming foreign-backed elements for exploiting concerns over rising living costs and the depreciation of the national currency, which is directly linked to unilateral US sanctions targeting Iran’s central bank and oil exports.

Watch India launch advanced military satellite on rocket's 1st flight since May 2025 failure

A powerful Indian rocket will return to flight tonight (Jan. 11), and you can watch its bounceback mission live.

A PSLV rocket carrying the EOS-N1 military satellite and 15 other payloads is scheduled to lift off from India's Satish Dhawan Space Centre tonight at 11:47 p.m. EST (0447 GMT and 10:17 a.m. India Standard Time on Jan. 12).

You can watch it live here at Space.com, courtesy of the Indian Space Research Organisation, or directly via ISRO. Coverage will start 30 minutes before launch.

The PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) is a four-stage rocket that debuted in 1993. Tonight's mission will be its first since a May 2025 failure that resulted in the loss of ISRO's EOS-09 Earth-observing satellite.

That was the third failure for the 145.7-foot-tall (44.4 meters) PSLV out of 63 total liftoffs.

The rocket has successfully lofted a number of high-profile payloads during its three decades of operation, including the Chandrayaan-1 moon probe in October 2008, the Mars Orbiter Mission in November 2013 and, in September 2023, Aditya-L1, India's first dedicated sun-studying spacecraft.

EOS-N1, also known as Anvesha, is a small Earth-observation satellite. Multiple sources identify it as a hyperspectral imaging satellite, meaning it will study our planet in hundreds of different wavelengths of light. And it will likely do so for the Indian military.

"The satellite will constantly scan the Earth's surface, sending back images that can generate valuable intelligence," wrote The Tribune, an English-language daily paper based in northern India.

"It will join India’s growing family of spy satellites that use radar and optical technology," the outlet added. "India has an active program to develop a fleet of military satellites for surveillance and communication."

The other payloads riding the PSLV tonight are a diverse bunch. Among them are a Thai-U.K. Earth-observing satellite, a Brazilian satellite designed to help distressed fishing boats, an in-orbit fueling demonstration by an Indian company and a reentry capsule from the Spanish startup Orbital Paradigm.

All of the payloads will head to low Earth orbit tonight except the reentry capsule, which is known as KID (Kestrel Initial technology Demonstrator).

It will separate from the PSLV's fourth stage late in the flight and come back to Earth for a splashdown in the South Pacific.

Tonight's mission will be the ninth organized by NewSpace India Limited, ISRO's commercial arm.

As one of the leading experts in that field, he served as a forensic pathologist and criminal medical examiner for the Minas Gerais Civil Police for more than three decades, conducting numerous autopsies of significant regional relevance.

Dr. Fortunato also has a law degree and has served as a court-appointed medical expert in several judicial districts. The Senate swamp quietly stuck a knife in the back of President Trump and the MAGA movement last week after approving billions to refugees despite the Somali fraud scandals across the country.

Just the News previously reported the appropriations bill for the Labor and Health and Human Services contained $5.69 billion for ‘refugee assistance services.’ This is three times higher than the funding levels before the Biden regime!

Upon learning this, Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rand Paul (R-KY) sounded the alarm and spoke out against the legislation.

Unfortunately, the Senate Appropriations Committee passed the bill by a vote of 26 to 3. The yeas included 14 Republicans.

Paul and Lee are not on the Appropriations Committee, so they could not vote.

UK Seeks to Partner with Australia and Canada in Censorship Plot Against Elon Musk’s X: Report

The British government has reportedly reached out to fellow leftist-run Anglo-sphere nations Australia and Canada in an attempt to wage a coordinated campaign to potentially ban Elon Musk’s X social media platform.

Earlier this week, UK Prime Minsiter Sir Keir Starmer said that “all options” were on the table, including a potential ban of X in Britain, over users being able to have the platform’s Grok artificial intelligence generate “deepfake” nude images of women and children.

The recently enacted Online Safety Act — passed by the previous “Conservative” government — empowers broadcasting regulator Ofcom to impose fines of up to 10 per cent of a social media firm’s global revenue, and allows for bans in extreme cases.

Yet, apparently reticent to draw the ire of President Donald Trump alone, Downing Street reportedly held talks in recent days with Canberra and Ottawa to craft a joint response to the tech platform, The Telegraph reported.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who is pushing for more censorship rules in his own country following the Islamist mass shooting at Bondi Beach last month, said, “The fact that this tool was used so that people were using its image creation function through Grok is, I think, just completely abhorrent. It, once again, is an example of social media not showing social responsibility. Australians and indeed, global citizens deserve better.”

Toronto MP Evan Solomon, the Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation in Mark Caney’s government, denied on Sunday that Canada is considering a ban on X.

For his part, Elon Musk, who has long been critical of the increasingly censorious climate in Britain, accused Starmer’s government of acting “fascist” and suggested that they were merely looking for “any excuse for censorship” of X.

Censorship has become increasingly prevalent in Britain. Despite its long tradition of freedom of speech, the country is arresting around 30 people every day for comments made on social media, or over 12,000 per year. Such offences can include the sharing of “grossly offensive” messages or spreading content of “indecent, obscene or menacing character”.

The banning of X would remove a major headache for the struggling Labour government, which has come under consistent pressure personally from Musk, on issues such as freedom of speech, immigration, and the predominantly Pakistani Muslim child rape gangs and the failures of police and government to protect mostly young white working-class girls.

However, such an action taken against one of President Trump’s key allies and a major American business could risk further angering the White House, which has made fighting censorship in Europe a key foreign policy plank.

Indeed, just last month, the Trump administration sanctioned multiple Europeans, including two Britons, for their involvement in the international censorship industry.

This included Imran Ahmed, the head of the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), an organisation with close ties to Prime Minsiter Starmer’s chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney. The administration has sought to deport Ahmed from the United States for his group’s efforts to censor American conservative outlets, including Breitbart News.

While the CCDH has close ties to the Labour government, the White House has yet to sign off on sanctions against any British government official.

This may change if X is banned, however, with Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna vowing to introduce legislation to sanction Prime Minister Starmer and the UK as a whole should the platform be banned in the UK.

“There are always technical bugs during the early phases of new technology, especially AI, and those issues are typically addressed quickly. X treats these matters seriously and acts promptly. Let’s be clear: this is not about technical compliance. This is a political war against Elon Musk and free speech—nothing more,” she said.

Spotify Confirms They’re Not Running ICE Recruitment Ads Anymore

A rep from Spotify confirmed that they are no longer airing recruitment ads for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after the last campaign ended in late 2025.

The update comes after left-wing organizations openly complained about the ads, which were run between songs for ad-supported free subscribers.

“There are currently no ICE ads running on Spotify,” a statement from the music streaming giant said, per The Guardian. “The advertisements mentioned were part of a US government recruitment campaign that ran across all major media and platforms.”

Spotify previously addressed criticism of the ads, saying they did not “violate our advertising policies.”

“This advertisement is part of a broad campaign the US government is running across television, streaming, and online channels,” the company shared in a statement last October. “However, users can mark any ad with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to help manage their ads preferences.”

Similar ICE recruitment ads have been running on other popular platforms including Hulu, HBO Max, YouTube, and Pandora since last spring.

The non-profit organization Indivisible Project, best known for organizing the nationwide “No Kings” protests, called for a boycott of Spotify in an open letter shared in October.

“Spotify is exploiting the work of artists to line their pockets while recruiting for ICE – a secret police force that is terrorizing American communities. Spotify is actively amplifying the Trump regime’s drive to authoritarianism,” the letter said in part.

The organization took credit for Spotify no longer running the ads, writing in an update on Friday that “months of public pressure” resulted in the music streaming service no longer running ICE advertisements.

Some minor musical artists also removed their music from the platform in protest. This includes the Australian psych-rock band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, the Canadian group Godspeed You! Black Emperor, indie band Deerhoof, and U.S. singer-songwriter Kadhja Bonet, per The Guardian.

Feds Flag Financial Institutions That May Have Sent Money To Somali Terrorist Org

Bessent made the comments during a press conference from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area where he announced actions that the Treasury Department and the IRS are taking to crack down on fraud. He said that multiple money service businesses — non-bank financial institutions that transmit money — had been informed that they were under investigation.

“Our citizens have a right to know that their tax dollars are not being diverted to fund acts of global terror, or to fund luxury cars for fraudsters. Democratic Governor Tim Walz has allowed welfare programs and fraud to spiral out of control,” he said. “Billions of dollars intended for hungry children, housing for disabled seniors, and services for children with special needs were diverted to people who cheated the system, some of whom are not even American citizens.”

Bessent said that the IRS and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen), the arm of the Treasury that investigates money laundering and terrorist financing, were looking into whether money fraudulently obtained through welfare programs went to Al-Shabaab, an Islamic terror group in Somalia.

Both agencies are investigating whether financial institutions complied with regulations to detect money laundering and other illicit activities. He did not disclose which money service businesses were under investigation.

“These businesses had an obligation to comply with anti-money laundering laws, and they will be held responsible for any crimes they committed,” he said.

Additionally, Bessent said that banks in Hennepin County, which encompasses Minneapolis, and Ramsey County, home to St. Paul, were being required to submit information about money transferred overseas.

Bessent estimated that around $300 million in funds had been fraudulently taken from the federal government through welfare programs meant to help impoverished children.

When asked by The Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan during the conference if Walz may be potentially wrapped up in the investigation, Bessent said, “It’s clear that Governor Walz has been negligent in his fiduciary duties as the chief executive of the state of Minnesota that this would happen on his watch, and we are actively pursuing all leads to see the level of involvement, whether it’s limited to just negligence and incompetence, or is something more than that.”

In recent weeks, the Trump administration has mobilized multiple departments to investigate alleged widespread fraud in Minnesota, including allegations that millions of taxpayer dollars have been funneled to fraudulent daycares across the state throughout the past ten years.

The Department of Health and Human Services has stopped funding for childcare and other welfare programs to Minnesota while federal law enforcement investigates.
